Chapter 308 The "Goods" are Robbed

"This way! Drive the car in! The people inside will help you unload the goods."

"Hurry up! It's almost dawn."

"The gates to the underground base are closing! Those behind, hurry up!"

On a flat clearing surrounded by trees, the land was very open. The surrounding trees were more than ten kilometers apart, and the vegetation on the clearing had been trimmed clean. Even a small mutated beast would have nowhere to hide here.

Several trucks, under the direction of the personnel in front, were slowly disappearing into the ground along the slope.

If someone were to approach at this moment, they would discover a huge rectangular entrance on the flat ground, from which light emanates.

Several superhumans were guarding the entrance, and they were positioned in four directions to protect it tightly. Suddenly, loud noises and roars of beasts came from afar.

The superhumans immediately became alert and shouted to the truck that was still cautiously driving in, "Hurry up, a mutated beast is approaching!"

The trucks suddenly increased their speed considerably, but compared to the approaching mutated beasts, they were still too slow. Suddenly, a mutated gorilla over fifteen meters tall leaped out from the surrounding woods.

The gorilla moved very quickly. With its two long arms bracing against the ground, it leaped into the air and slammed its fists down at the last truck.

"It's a Level 4 mutated beast! How could there be a Level 4 mutated beast around our base?!"

"Close the door now!"

The superhumans attacked the mutated gorilla in mid-air with their superhuman abilities, long metal spears aimed at the gorilla's eyes and belly.

There were many elemental attacks around, and the fire and wind elements around were trying to combine to form a sea of fire, but those gleaming metal spears were of little use to the gorilla, and the supernatural powers attacking from the side could not stop the gorilla's falling body.

These attacks only scratched its skin and flesh, and the pain didn't even register with it.

The raging flames burned the gorilla, but only burned off some of its fur and scalded it. At this moment, the gorilla's two fists landed heavily on the last truck, flattening the twelve-meter-long truck with two blows.

The gorilla, pierced by metal spears and burned by fire, was furious. He stood up and roared at the sky, pounding his huge fists on his chest a few times before quickly chasing after the rectangular gate.

Meanwhile, a number of mutated beasts had arrived behind the gorilla and were all attacking it.

The superhumans outside didn't care that there were still two trucks that hadn't entered the underground base. They quickly retreated to the underground base while fighting off the mutated beasts, and then the gate of the underground base immediately began to close.

The superhumans in the truck were terrified at the sight, wishing they could floor the gas pedal, but the door still slowly closed in front of them, leaving them no chance of survival whatsoever.

"Bang!"

Because it was rushing forward at full speed, the truck couldn't brake in time and immediately crashed into the thick gate in front of it. The entire front of the truck was crushed in, and the superhuman in the driver's cab was squeezed into a pulp. However, there was no trace of the gate on the other side, which shows how sturdy the gate was.

The remaining car, seeing that the gate was closed, immediately turned around and fled in another direction.

The mutated gorilla chased after the fleeing truck, while the other mutated animals ran to the gate and began attacking it.

The enormous claws pounded on the door repeatedly, their sharp nails scratching at it, but the door remained exceptionally sturdy, completely unfazed by the attacks of these mutated beasts.

Just as these mutated beasts were attacking the gate, the wrecked truck next to it suddenly exploded because its fuel tank had cracked, injuring the lower-level mutated beasts around it. Before these mutated beasts could even cry out, they were engulfed in flames.

These mutated beasts were not as strong as the level 4 mutated gorilla. They were still very afraid of fire. For a moment, the mutated beast group was in chaos, and mutated beasts with their whole bodies on fire kept running out. It even affected the mutated beasts outside that had not come into contact with the fire source.

The mutated gorilla had already caught up with the truck, smashed the front of the truck with a punch, and was using its huge claws to scratch open the huge cargo compartment, pulling out the superhuman and throwing it into its mouth, chewing it continuously. If you listened carefully, you could hear the cracking sound of bones breaking coming from the gorilla's mouth.

It had just eaten a few people when it heard the wails of the mutated beasts behind it. It turned around and saw that its underlings were being beaten to a pulp by these humans. It roared and threw away the deformed truck it was holding, then ran towards the group of mutated beasts behind it.

The group of mutated beasts arrived with great momentum, but left in a rather disheveled state. In the end, the mutated gorilla was no match for them and led the mutated beasts away, taking with it a destroyed truck.

Once the area around the gate calmed down and the mutated beasts had completely fled, the seemingly indestructible gate reopened from the inside. The superhuman cleared away the still-burning truck at the gate before leaving the underground base.

The other two damaged trucks had their cargo compartments damaged and their doors wide open, revealing the "cargo" inside, which turned out to be full of unconscious superhumans!

"Quick! Take all the cargo that's still alive back with you, we can't let it go to waste."

As soon as these words were spoken, many more superhumans rushed out of the underground base and ran towards the two trucks. To prevent the two trucks from exploding as well, they kept their superhuman shields active the whole time and quickly transported the superhumans who were still alive back to the base.

After counting the number, the leader of the superhumans spat out a curse with a grim expression, "Damn it! Only a few were left. How are we going to explain this to the higher-ups? Looks like we'll have to send more people to catch them. It's all those beasts' fault!"
