In the dimly lit room, Qian Li anxiously pulled Li Wei quickly to the living room, pressed him down to sit on the sofa, and turned around to frantically search for the first-aid kit.
Li Wei held her hand, his voice tired but gentle: "It's alright, this is someone else's blood. If it weren't for Lin Ruo today, I'm afraid I would have been injured too."
"Was it Lin Ruo who saved you?" Qian Li paused in her rummaging, feeling much more at ease upon hearing that it was someone else's blood.
Li Wei shook his head thoughtfully, "It wasn't exactly a rescue, it was just that someone was trying to take her supplies, so she stepped in."
“Today… I saw Lin Ruo’s dog,” Qian Li said, handing Li Wei a towel while swallowing hard. “That dog is about a meter and a half long now…”
"What?!" Li Wei paused in wiping his face, turning to look at Qian Li. "Isn't her dog only four months old?"
“Yes, I was also very confused, but Lin Ruo did have that dog guard our door today. It was over 80 centimeters tall, only half a head shorter than our Dou Dou!” Qian Li recalled A Fu’s figure, which was indeed about the same height as her child.
Li Wei was initially puzzled, but then he turned around and saw the continuous downpour outside. If the rain could last this long, what couldn't happen?
This only shows that Lin Ruo is hiding a secret, but this is a good thing for them, at least Lin Ruo is not hostile to them.
"If possible, try to get closer to Lin Ruo. That way, when I'm out, I'll know she's protecting you, and I'll feel more at ease." Li Wei wiped the bloodstains off his body, held Qian Li in his arms, and carefully instructed her.
Qian Li nestled in Li Wei's broad arms and nodded obediently.
She knew she couldn't be of much help; Li Wei had to work hard and find everything himself. The only thing she could do was to distract him from worrying about her and the child.
When Lin Ruo returned home, she put the supply bag next to her. She had already looked inside; it contained instant noodles, bread, biscuits, bottled water, a few pieces of chocolate, and several bags of potato chips.
She picked out a bag of barbecue-flavored potato chips, and then sorted and threw the rest into the still space.
She opened the potato chip package, ate the chips, and prepared to continue lounging on the sofa reading traditional Chinese medicine books to pass the time.
This kind of life isn't bad. She gets supplies delivered every time, which saves her the trouble of pretending to find supplies, and she has more time to do her own things.
After playing around for a while, Afu and Ashou ran to the water dispenser to drink water. The water dispenser contained water from the space lake, which could steadily improve their physical condition.
The weather was still too hot for these furry animals. Usually, with Lin Ruo's water-based superpower to cool them down at home, they wouldn't notice, but Afu had just been lying in the stairwell for a while and was so hot that he was sticking out his tongue.
Lin Ruo looked up and saw that Afu was still a little hot. A blue light flashed in her hand, and she gently stretched out her hand. Suddenly, a fist-sized ice ball appeared in front of Afu.
Afu stuck out his tongue and slowly licked, feeling the burning sensation in his body finally subside a bit.
"Woof! Woof!" When Ah Shou saw that Ah Fu had a small ice ball to lick, he immediately became unhappy. He wagged his tail and acted cute towards Lin Ruo, rubbing his big face tightly against Lin Ruo's thigh.
It wants it too! It's hot too! It wants that delicious ice cream too!
Lin Ruo pushed its big head aside, tapped its big nose, and got it a piece too.
Seeing them lying in the house slowly licking a piece of ice, she stopped paying attention and simply turned on the smart robot vacuum cleaner to start cleaning, while she herself immersed herself in the world of her book.
During this period, a batch of crops matured in the space. After comparing the crops on ordinary soil and black soil, even Lin Ruo, a novice in planting, noticed the difference.
The black soil in the living space is not only fertile, but also seems to significantly shorten the growth time of crops.
Crops that should normally take 3-4 months to mature mature in just over a month in the black soil of the space, while on ordinary land they are still just seedlings.
Moreover, crops and vegetables that mature in the black soil of this space taste better than those grown outside.
Lin Ruo was pleasantly surprised. She remembered the knowledge of medicinal herbs she had read in traditional Chinese medicine books. Some medicinal herbs need to be aged for a certain number of years before they can be used as medicine. So she simply divided the black soil into five sections.
One section cultivates normal crops, such as rice, corn, and soybeans.
She grows vegetables in one section, and because vegetables mature faster, she harvests them almost every day.
One section is dedicated to growing pasture grass for animals. The pasture grass growing on the black soil is eaten together with the pasture grass growing on the small hills, which speeds up the animals' growth rate considerably.
One section is used to grow fruit trees, and the fruits grown in the space taste amazing; even Ah Shou and Ah Fu love to eat them.
The last section is used for planting medicinal herbs. A large portion of the land is used for herbs that require long-term growth, while a small portion is used to randomly plant some herbs that mature faster.
After tidying up the planting area in the space, Lin Ruo also organized the freshwater pool and seawater area. The fish and shrimp in them were living very well, and the small fish and shrimp had grown quite a bit. She scanned them with her mental power and found that many of the fish and shrimp had swollen bellies, which meant they were about to give birth.
Then they went to the animal area. The cubs had all grown up a bit, and the pregnant animals were eating and sleeping well, taking excellent care of themselves. Looking at their round bellies, Lin Ruo was happy. These were all reserve food, and she had to give them extra feed.
Then, upon seeing the rabbits, Lin Ruo blinked. The rabbits in the space were practically overflowing. On their small hill, there were so many little rabbits that the pasture grass planted on the hill was being eaten bare by them.
These little creatures reproduce so quickly and grow so fast. Plus, Lin Ruo bought so many that baby rabbits are born almost every day. A rabbit can have 3-15 offspring in a litter, with fewer having 3. Most litters have around 10.
