Chapter 4 Preparations Before Stockpiling

She slept soundly through the night. When a ray of sunlight shone through the window into the room, Lin Ruo suddenly opened her eyes. She quickly sat up and alertly scanned her surroundings. After a moment, she suddenly remembered that she had been reborn.

She picked up her phone from the bedside table and saw it was exactly five o'clock. This was her biological clock from her previous life, and she never expected that it would still be there after her rebirth.

Lin Ruo quickly got up, washed up, put the dining table and chairs into her space, and began to do basic exercises in the dining room. Her body had been greatly enhanced due to the modification of her superpower.

Doing hundreds of sit-ups is easy for Lin Ruo, but she didn't slack off. She practiced meticulously, making sure every movement was precise.

The initial modification to her superpower was good, but it only improved her physical fitness. Her agility and reaction speed could not be changed. She trained to improve her physical reaction speed, and the higher her physical fitness, the faster her superpower would level up. She couldn't let her body become a hindrance to upgrading her superpower.

We need to get some weighted training equipment in the future, otherwise training like this is too slow.

In her previous life, she had also received unified training from the base during the apocalypse. She even used a crystal core to ask Chen Yu to teach her for a period of time. Chen Yu was originally the captain of a top special forces team, and all his skills were earned on the battlefield. He taught seriously, and she studied diligently until he said he had nothing more to teach, at which point the special training ended.

Therefore, Chen Yu and she had a deeper master-disciple relationship than with others. Unfortunately, during a mission, Chen Yu was overwhelmed by a pack of mutated wolves. Even though she was the last one to run, he risked his life to push her out of the pack and died there in her place.

If there are any trustworthy people left in the apocalypse, then perhaps only Chen Yu remains. But as time goes by, will this person still be the same as before?

Lin Ruo gave a wry smile. There was no need for him to deliberately recall them; the moves seemed to be etched into his mind.

However, these moves are still extremely unfamiliar to her current body. Every movement is awkward and clumsy, and she needs to practice her agility and proficiency slowly.

After exercising for more than two hours, even with her excellent physique, she felt muscle soreness. But she endured the soreness and performed another set of boxing techniques.

She stopped only when she had absolutely no strength left in her body. The warm water-based superpower quickly flowed through her body, helping to relieve her fatigue. This was another wonderful use of water-based superpowers that she had discovered: water-based superpowers could relieve fatigue.

This is partly why she was able to hone her skills to such a high level in her previous life.

She lay on the restaurant floor, panting. Lin Ruo thoroughly enjoyed this feeling of pushing her limits, which made her truly feel alive. After slowly moving her body for a while, she activated her water-based superpowers at full power and felt her fatigue subside significantly. She got up and slowly walked into the bathroom.

Entering the bathroom, Lin Ruo looked at herself in the mirror. Her cheeks were flushed and her head was covered in sweat. This was her living self.

She filled the bathtub with hot water, soaked in it, and her water-based powers activated rapidly. She let out a long sigh of relief, feeling comfortable.

After a relaxing hot bath, Lin Ruo was fully rejuvenated, her muscles brimming with boundless energy once again. She then took out several crystal cores from her spatial storage, holding them in her hand to absorb their energy and cultivate her supernatural abilities.

More than an hour later, she threw the depleted crystal core back into her spatial storage, picked up her keys, and prepared to go downstairs.

"Xiao Ruo, go out."

As soon as Lin Ruo stepped out of the building, she saw Grandma Wu, who lived downstairs, coming back from outside with a bag of breakfast.

"Grandma Wu." After Lin Ruo's parents passed away, Grandma Wu helped a lot with their funeral arrangements. Lin Ruo was very grateful to Grandma Wu. Seeing her again after so many years, her heart was filled with emotion.

"well."

Grandma Wu carefully observed Lin Ruo's expression. Seeing that the previous dejection was gone from her face and that she was full of vitality, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She had heard yesterday that those two heartless bastards had come again. It was heartbreaking to see such a young girl suffer like this.

With a loving smile, she handed the breakfast bag in her hand to Lin Ruo, "Grandma bought some breakfast, would you like some to take on the road?"

Lin Ruo smiled and declined, "Thank you, Grandma Wu. I'll go out to eat in a bit. You can give it to Lulu."

In her past life, during an extremely cold period, Grandma Wu gave all her cotton-padded clothes to her granddaughter so that she wouldn't freeze, but Grandma Wu herself froze to death.

But she only had herself and her granddaughter at home. Her son was trapped in D City by the apocalyptic disaster and couldn't come back. If she died, how could her granddaughter possibly survive?

When Lin Ruo discovered that Grandma Wu had passed away a week later, her little granddaughter was lying next to her, lifeless, having starved to death.

Although she can't help much in this life, she will still try her best to help as a way of repaying Grandma Wu's kindness.

"Alright, go ahead and get busy," Grandma Wu said with a smile, waving to Lin Ruo as she went upstairs.

Lin Ruo then turned around, quickly walked to the entrance of the community, scanned a shared electric scooter, and rode straight to the nearby rental shop.

As soon as I entered, the receptionist greeted me warmly with a sincere and expectant smile, "Hello, how can I help you?"

"Hello, I would like to rent a car. I have a C1 driver's license and I need the car with the largest capacity."

Lin Ruo smiled back. Before the apocalypse, people showed great kindness, but after the apocalypse, humanity was fully revealed. She had never seen such a smile since.

"Okay, please follow me." The young lady happily led Lin Ruo inside. This was another substantial commission, and she had to make the most of it.

The young lady introduced Lin Ruo to many car models, and in the end Lin Ruo took a liking to an SUV. This car only had a driver's seat and a passenger seat, and all the back seats had been removed, just to be used for hauling goods.
