Cultivation knows no time, and a few hours passed in the blink of an eye for Lin Ruo. She had originally only been recovering her supernatural abilities, but seeing that the time was almost up, she decided to combine it with today's training and stayed in the training room for a full six hours.
When she recovered her powers to their peak and walked out of the training room, it was already broad daylight outside. It was close to eleven o'clock. Her clothes were still a little damp. The physical training she had just done had exceeded her body's capacity. When she finished the physical training, her clothes were completely soaked and were now half-dry.
She grabbed the hem of her clothes and shook it, preparing to take a shower and change her clothes. She used her spiritual power to enter her spatial dimension and was about to make herself a cup of lake water when she noticed a small tiger cub with yellow and black stripes next to the freshwater pool.
Lin Ruo was immediately charmed. She never expected that Alu would be so cute after shrinking. It had turned into a cat the size of two palms, even smaller than the cat before the apocalypse. It had big, round eyes and tilted its head to try and catch the fish in the freshwater pond with its paws.
The fish in her freshwater pool had been raised in the lake water for so long that they were almost sentient. They never swam to the surface and would occasionally splash water with their tails, inevitably getting A-Lu, who was on the shore, soaked.
The scene was both silly and adorable. Lin Ruo's mental energy hovered around for a long time before finally moving, taking the water cup and Alu out of the space with a single thought.
After the water glass filled with water from the spatial dimension left the space, it was placed directly on the table next to it, and the adorable little tiger cub fell directly into Lin Ruo's arms.
Alu felt the scenery blur before its eyes, and then it landed in a familiar embrace. Alu immediately raised its round little head, and the moment it saw Lin Ruo, the wariness in its round tiger eyes vanished completely, leaving only dependence and trust. It stuck out its pink tongue and licked Lin Ruo's hand.
Lin Ruo felt her heart tighten, and rubbed her face against the little tiger's head. Sure enough, petting a cat and petting a dog are different feelings. Ah! The little tiger is so cute!
Hearing the commotion, Afu and Ashou ran out as well, and Aliu and Lao Bai also stretched their willow branches in. They all guessed that Alu had successfully leveled up and were a little worried, wanting to see how Alu was doing.
Unexpectedly, as soon as they entered the door, they saw the owner hugging the tiny Alu in his arms and kissing him passionately. The remaining four fell silent.
Aru was so happy to be treated so warmly by its owner that it felt like it was bubbling with happiness. Suddenly, it felt a chill on the back of its neck. It looked to the side a beat late and saw several menacing eyes staring at it. It froze instantly.
Lin Ruo felt the unusual sensation in the small body in her arms and looked up to see what was happening. The tense expressions on the faces of the people around her changed the moment they met Lin Ruo's eyes.
Afu and Ashou both had a hint of grievance on their faces, and Aliu and Laobai's branches were slightly curled up. They all looked at Lin Ruo with an expression that said, "You don't love me anymore," as if she were a fickle and unfaithful "scumbag."
Lin Ruo sighed inwardly. She quietly withdrew the hand that had been scratching the little tiger's chin. Lin Ruo knew exactly what these guys were thinking. They would fight over who slept with her, and now seeing her hugging Alu like this, they must be feeling jealous.
Although it was a bit of a pity, she still firmly placed the tiger cub on the ground to show that she treated everyone equally.
As soon as the little tiger was put down, it immediately bared its teeth at the family members. Before it reached level five, Afu and Ashou had often dominated Lin Ruo's attention because of their ability to shrink. Now that it was its turn, the family members had united against it. How could it possibly accept that?
"Awoo!" she howled at them in a childish voice, though her voice was soft and sweet, her spirit was strong.
Afu glanced down at the little dumpling, his aura unwavering. Ashou, on the other hand, was more direct, slapping Alu across the face. Lin Ruo originally thought Alu would be punished by Ashou again, just like before, but unexpectedly, Alu darted to the side, his small figure flashing, cleverly dodging Ashou's attack.
They then maintained their small size and jumped around the house. Ah Shou was very fast and had great jumping ability, but Ah Lu, being a feline, obviously had an advantage in this regard. The difference between felines and canines gradually became apparent. Each time Ah Lu jumped, he was light and even somewhat graceful, and there was not a sound when he landed.
Alu was only level 5, while Ashou was already level 6. The two fought in the fortress for almost half an hour, but Ashou still couldn't subdue Alu.
Lin Ruo just watched quietly as they turned the house upside down. All the things in the house were made of black jade crystal, so even if they had the strength of level 5 or 6, they couldn't break them.
Instead, she noticed amidst the commotion that Aru's strength seemed to have increased significantly after reaching level 5, something that hadn't happened when Afu and Ashou reached level 5.
After teasing Ah Shou for so long, Ah Lu's confidence soared. He wagged his tail at Ah Shou and bared his teeth in defiance. Ah Shou immediately got angry and chased Ah Lu outside. Then, they transformed into their true forms and ran away into the distance.
Lin Ruo didn't follow to continue watching. Although A Lu was able to hold out for so long, it was also because A Shou hadn't gone all out. If A Shou had been determined to deal with it, A Lu would definitely not have been able to win.
She turned and went into the kitchen to prepare lunch. She had intense training in the afternoon, so she needed to fill her stomach as soon as possible.
