The spiritual energy penetrated the rocks above and slowly spread throughout the underground mine. There was no light below; it was completely shrouded in darkness.
Lin Ruo used his mental energy to scan the mine and discovered that the interior space was small, giving people a sense of confinement. The internal structure was very complex, winding and rugged, and unfathomably deep.
The walls of the mine were covered with ores of all sizes, and a thin layer of ice covered the ores.
She focused her mental energy to the maximum and scanned the entire mine, creating a 3D image of it in Lin Ruo's mind.
Her mental power quickly located the part of the mine closest to the mountain, in the southeast direction.
Lin Ruo glanced at the quarry workers still working below. At their current quarrying speed, it would take them two days to discover the mine shaft, and by then, who knows how much ore would have been mined away.
A relaxed smile appeared on her lips. After her rebirth, she was extremely lucky, as if she had divine help.
She nimbly leaped down the mountain from the southeast, landing lightly beside the rock face. Using her mental power, she located the easiest spot to strike and began to activate her water-based abilities.
A giant spiral ice cone appeared in front of Lin Ruo. The ice cone was shaped like a drill bit, with a diameter of about one meter at its thickest point. Under the control of Lin Ruo's mental power, it quickly drilled into the mountain.
The sounds of the diamond machines around Lin Ruo drowned out her own. Rocks and ice shards flew everywhere. Lin Ruo stood far away, focusing solely on controlling her water-based abilities.
Within ten minutes, the rock wall was breached, and a circular hole with a diameter of one meter was drilled into the mountain.
Lin Ruo crouched down and crawled into the hole. After climbing for more than ten meters, she reached the mine. She squatted down and observed her surroundings. All she could see were underground minerals.
She was overjoyed. According to the results of her mental detection, the amount of ore in the mine was about 2.4 million tons, with a volume of about 800,000 cubic meters.
Now she can build any kind of shelter she wants, even several huge mineral castles would be more than enough.
But thinking about the acid rain that would follow, and the various heavy weapons that the base in City B would later make from the ore, Lin Ruo gave up the idea of taking them all with her.
She took two-thirds, leaving the remaining one-third for weapons development at the B City base.
She pressed her hand against the mine wall, and the surrounding ore rapidly diminished, with pieces of ore peeling off the wall and disappearing.
A moment later, two-thirds of the ore in the mine had disappeared. Lin Ruo picked it up selectively when collecting it, greatly reducing the density of the ore arrangement. This way, when the B City base came to mine, they wouldn't find out that it had been taken away by human hands, but would only think that the mineral yield was low.
Lin Ruo collected the ore and didn't linger there. He crawled out of the dug cave and then used his spatial blade to slash around the cave, leaving it in pieces, jagged and broken.
She then chopped at the surrounding mountains more than a dozen times, causing rocks to fall and pile up all over the mountainside.
Only after doing all this did she leave satisfied.
Once she reached the mountains and forests, she removed the water mask that concealed her, only to find that ice crystals had once again formed on her mask. This time, even her hat was frozen solid. She had been in this extremely cold wilderness for too long; anyone else would probably have lost all feeling in their hands and feet.
On her way home, Lin Ruo wandered through the woods, cutting down a lot of dead wood and putting it into her space. She also encountered some small mutated animals, mostly rabbits and pheasants, which were only 70-80 centimeters long. These animals came looking for her because they smelled the scent of her flesh and blood.
But Lin Ruo killed them all with a single shot, and they became food supplies for Afu and Ashou.
When Lin Ruo returned to the shelter, it was already 2 p.m. From a distance, she could see several mutated animal corpses piled up in front of her house.
Afu and Ashou's enormous bodies were lying under the willow tree next to the shelter, gnawing on something.
"Afu, Ashou, and Liu!"
Lin Ruo slid closer, her skis tilted slightly, and she stopped in place. Afu and Ashou looked up, and she could see what they were gnawing on.
The two of them were covered in blood, and there was hair all over the ground.
"Woof woof!" Ah Shou jumped up instantly, ignoring the pheasants on the ground, and ran quickly towards Lin Ruo.
Lin Ruo quickly dodged away; covered in blood, if it pounced on her, she would have to wash all her clothes again.
This windbreaker is fine, but down jackets are hard to wash, and they might not keep you warm if you don't wash them properly, so she has to wear them sparingly.
"Stop it! You're covered in blood," Lin Ruo said with obvious disgust. She then used her mental energy to examine their entire bodies, only relaxing after confirming that it wasn't their blood.
Ah Fu came over and subdued Ah Shou, who was unwilling to obey, before gently calling out to Lin Ruo and turning to look at the corpses of the mutated animals, "Awoo!"
Lin Ruo followed its gaze and could tell at a glance whose prey it was.
Afu's prey always have their necks bitten off. Afu is all about speed, accuracy, and ruthlessness, and he never does anything in vain.
Ah Shou's prey is covered in scratches. He likes to play with his prey while it's playing with it, and then kill it when it's done.
Ah Liu's prey all had one fatal wound: their hearts were pierced.
Afu caught a wild boar and a rabbit, Ashou caught a wolf and a pheasant, and Aliu caught some small animals like hedgehogs and squirrels.
Ah Liu pushed her prey towards Lin Ruo with her willow branches, making it clear that she wanted all of it for her.
Lin Ruo chuckled. It seemed that as its energy intake increased, A Liu's intelligence was also rapidly improving. It should now clearly understand the difference between being full at one meal and being full at every meal.
"Okay, I'll save it for you so you can eat it slowly."
