Lin Ruo sat in the living room, eating a cantaloupe while looking at her tablet. Afu and Ashou had gone out to play, and the radio on the windowsill was broadcasting from the B City base.
She chewed on the cantaloupe in her mouth. She had heard this broadcast on the trucks that had been confiscated before. It seemed that the B City base was changing its strategy again. Why?
Thinking of the team she had wiped out, Lin Ruo stopped chewing. Was it because the previous scattered rescue method resulted in too many casualties? Or was the weaponry at the B City base insufficient?
If the message is transmitted via radio, how many survivors will not receive it at all and thus miss the opportunity to go to the base?
She threw the leftover melon rinds into the trash can and pulled out a tissue from the coffee table to wipe her hands.

"Afu and Ashou are back." Lin Ruo put down the tablet in her hand, stood up and put on her down jacket before going to greet Afu and Ashou.
As I approached the door, I saw Afu and Ashou each carrying a huge animal in their mouths, trotting towards me from a distance.
Afu was carrying a 3-meter-long gray wolf, while Ashou was carrying a nearly 9-meter-long python.
Lin Ruo stood at the door, and A Fu and A Shou immediately sped up, first carefully checking them for injuries, and only felt relieved after discovering that the blood on their bodies was from other mutated beasts.
Lin Ruo suddenly expanded her mental energy wildly into the distance. She turned her head to look in that direction, her eyes filled with a chilling killing intent!
Afu suddenly stood up and ran quickly in that direction, yelling "Awoo!"
Some people followed Afu and Ashou to her fortress.
"Ah! Run! We've been spotted!"
"quick!"
Ah Shou also ran out quickly. There were five people on the other side, four men and one woman. Ah Fu and Ah Shou went up and each bit one of them to death without any mercy.
Lin Ruo kept her eyes fixed on the remaining two men and one woman. They must have something to do with the fact that they were able to follow them all the way here. Thinking of the wanted poster she had seen at the Hengxing Shopping Mall, she narrowed her eyes slightly.
"Afu and Ashou, bring them here."
Afu and Ashou stopped moving, their huge claws changed from grabbing to slapping, slamming the three people who tried to escape into the ground, and roaring at them with their mouths wide open.
"Awoo!"
The three were terrified by Afu's enormous mouth and roar, and scrambled toward Lin Ruo.
Lin Ruo took out a gun from his spatial storage, his eyes under his mask fixed on the movements of the three men. The three men were dressed very conservatively, with only their eyes showing.
"Spare us! We were just passing by! We really meant no harm!" A man kept kowtowing to Lin Ruo, begging for mercy.
Another man crawled forward a few steps, saying, "We just wanted to come here to cut some wood for warmth. We meant no harm. Please let us go."
Lin Ruo sneered. They had definitely followed her. Before she could even ask, they were already trying to distance themselves. She never believed in coincidences.
The two men kept begging for mercy, but the woman remained lying on the ground, trembling.
She walked up to the woman, raised her head with the gun in her hand, and the woman's eyes were full of tension, which was all too familiar.
Lin Ruo's lips curled slightly beneath her mask. So it was someone she knew. No wonder she recognized Afu and Ashou!
He ripped off the woman's veil, revealing her face to Lin Ruo. Her skin flushed red from the cold air.
The woman tried to lower her head, but her chin was held down by Lin Ruo's gun, making it impossible for her to move.
Lin Ruo chuckled lightly, "One should look at a person with new eyes after three days of separation. I never expected that our reunion would be like this."
The woman closed her eyes tightly and said in a trembling voice, "I had no choice. I was forced to come. They forced me to come!"
"Damn it, you bitch!" The other two men were furious and immediately started cursing. "You were the one who said you knew these two dogs and brought us here! Now you're trying to pin everything on us! You just wait!"
Lin Ruo didn't even glance at the two men. In front of her was the kind-hearted girl from the 20th floor during the rainstorm. She hadn't expected that she could grow up so quickly in just two months; she almost didn't recognize her anymore.
"Sister Ruo! You have to believe me, Sister Ruo! I was forced to do this! They found out I came from Longyuan, so they forced me to bring them here!" The woman looked at Lin Ruo with innocent and pitiful eyes, which was heartbreaking to see.
"Hmm, not bad," Lin Ruo put down his gun, stood up, and looked down at the woman kneeling on the ground. "She acted quite well and has a strong understanding. It's a waste that she didn't become an actress before the apocalypse."
The woman thought there was a chance after hearing the first half of the sentence, but her heart sank when she heard the second half. She knew how ruthless the woman in front of her was, and that she was probably not going to make it today.
When she looked at Lin Ruo again, her eyes changed. All the previous weakness was gone, replaced by hatred. "You're so powerful! Yet you're so selfish! Why won't you help us! You eat and drink well every day, but you only give me a piece of bread! Do you know how they bully me behind my back?! You knew perfectly well, yet you stood by and watched me become the target of everyone's hatred! Do you know how much pain I'm in?!"
