Chapter 9 Space Transformation

As darkness fell, Lin Ruo slowly drove towards the outskirts of the city.

The road became increasingly desolate. After more than an hour's drive, the sky was so dark that one could not see their own hand in front of their face. Lin Ruo finally arrived at a desolate mountain with no village or shop in sight. The surrounding area was barren, with only grass and trees. Lin Ruo used her supernatural ability to search and found that there was not a single person within several miles.

Lin Ruo squatted down, lightly touching the ground beneath her feet. She closed her eyes, her mental energy surging out wildly, and her spatial abilities running at full speed.

Starting from Lin Ruo, the soil in front of her quickly disappeared, and she piled all the soil on the ordinary land in the life space.

Besides soil, she also collected a lot of stones, which she placed on ordinary land in the life space, waiting to build two huge ponds. One pond would be filled with fresh water and the other with seawater, to raise freshwater fish, shrimp and seafood.

The surrounding land collapsed rapidly, and after the pit reached a depth of more than ten meters, water was seen at the bottom, and the deep pit began to spread outwards.

The pit continued to extend, and within Lin Ruo's life space, small hills formed on the ordinary land. On these hills were the grasses and trees that had been brought in along with the others, and each hill had its own complete ecosystem.

After finishing those tasks, she focused on the pond. Using her mental power to manipulate space, two huge pits slowly appeared on the ordinary open ground. The excavated soil was piled up by Lin Ruo in the still space, and there was rolling mud and gravel everywhere, creating a spectacular scene.

After the deep pit was completed, Lin Ruo used the stones she had stored in her spatial dimension to decorate the edge of the pond.

Before long, the two huge ponds built with stones were completed. Lin Ruo manipulated her mental power to use even finer sand and gravel to seal the gaps between the large stones.

Lin Ruo didn't know where the deep pit, which was over ten meters long, extended; in any case, she stored everything within her spatial storage.

Looking at the brand-new layout of the life space, Lin Ruo was satisfied. This was the trump card for future sustainable development.

When she got home, the moon was already high in the sky. Lin Ruo sat wearily on the sofa, took out the long list of supplies from her spatial storage, and carefully marked the items she had already purchased. There were still many supplies she needed to buy.

Thinking about the goods she had stockpiled, she felt fulfilled and at ease. These were her resources for surviving the apocalypse. Thinking about her future happy life, she instantly regained her energy, happily ordered a lot of takeout, and then got up to take a shower.

Hearing the doorbell ring, Lin Ruo raised an eyebrow and quickly walked to the door. She pressed her ear against the door and listened for a while, then frowned slightly. There were no footsteps. Hadn't they left? Didn't she leave a note saying the takeout should be left at the door?

Lin Ruo looked out through the peephole and saw several people standing outside. Some were wearing food delivery uniforms, and one was a security guard from the community. Lin Ruo frowned slightly and slowly opened the door. "Is there something you need?"

Because Lin Ruo ordered quite a lot of takeout, the security guard wasn't entirely at ease, so he simply followed her over to check on her. "Young lady, did you order so much takeout by yourself? Is there anything you can help me with?"

Lin Ruo was taken aback. Did they think something had happened to her?

She carefully examined the face of the security guard opposite her. She seemed to have seen this person in her previous life. However, too much time had passed, and she could no longer remember these security guards clearly, except for those few who had committed many evil deeds.

The fact that she couldn't remember the person in front of her indirectly meant that this person hadn't done anything bad during the apocalypse and was still a trustworthy person.

She felt a sense of relief and a smile appeared on her face. "It's okay. My classmates are coming over to play with me later, that's why I ordered so much. You don't need to worry."

The security guard breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, realizing he had been overthinking things. "It's late at night, you're a young lady, so please be careful. If anything happens, call the security booth."

"Okay, thank you."

After seeing off the deliveryman and security guard, Lin Ruo was finally able to sit down and enjoy her meal, which cured her of the day's fatigue.

"Ring ring~"

Lin Ruo picked up the phone, saw the number, and frowned slightly. Police station? A glint flashed in her eyes.

"Hello." Lin Ruo's voice was sweet and clear. To the police officer on the other end, she sounded like a well-behaved girl.

"Hello, we are police officers from the City A Police Department. Mr. Lin Bin and Ms. Zhao Minqi just came to the police station to report a crime. Now you are suspected of intentional assault. Please come to the police station now."
