"Whoosh—" A bamboo arrow shot quickly toward Lin Ruo's head.

She stepped into the ambush room, and as she entered, she took a step back. A short bamboo arrow flew past her and she caught it in her hand. Then, with a twist of her knife, she thrust, twisted, and pulled to the side, reaping another life.
At the same time, he quickly turned around and was already next to another person who was lying in ambush by the door. The bamboo arrow in his left hand pierced the man's neck.
The man's mouth was slightly open, opening and closing as if he wanted to speak, and his eyes bulged out, staring intently at Lin Ruo in front of him.
Blood spurted out and instantly splashed onto the adjacent wall, where it froze immediately.
With a "thump," the man also fell to the ground.

Lin Ruo stabbed him from behind, piercing his heart. He froze on the spot, his bamboo bow falling from his hand. Lin Ruo hooked and flicked the bow with his toe, sending it flying into the air, where Lin Ruo caught it.
Lin Ruo kicked the man, and his body was instantly kicked out of the window, crashing heavily onto the ice below.
The five people in the room were all killed in an instant, and the room was filled with the smell of blood.
Lin Ruo frowned slightly. She took the crossbow off the corpse's wrist and put it into her spatial storage along with the bamboo bow in her hand.
She found some food and a few bamboo arrows on these people, but no resident cards.
"Looks like these aren't survivors from the B City base, so we missed out on another chance to fleece them."
After storing everything she had found in her spatial storage, she jumped out of the window and left.
No sooner had she left than a swarm of insects appeared, all of them fist-sized cockroaches, which flew onto several corpses and began to feast on them.
Lin Ruo spent another afternoon wandering around City B, but still couldn't find the insect nest or discover which direction the insects were moving in. She only found a few small groups of insects gathering, which she sealed in ice and stored in her space.
She rushed home before dark, and Afu and Ashou came out to greet her from afar, wagging their big tails and running around her in circles.
"I got back a little late today, so I won't go out tomorrow." Lin Ruo patted Ah Shou's long mouth. "I brought back a lot of 'snacks' for you guys to chew on today."
