Is Chapter 175 a provocation?

The air conditioner in the RV was blowing cool air in wisps, which gently stirred Lin Ruo's hair as she sat below.

She stored the sea worms and worm cakes in her spatial storage. It was enough to know about these things; she had plenty of food in her storage, so there was no need to try them.

After having some free time, Lin Ruo placed two ice basins in the RV. With the addition of the air conditioner, the RV's small space made the interior much cooler.

Outside the door, Afu and Ashou were lying under the shade of a tree. Lin Ruo laid out a mat for them before she calmed down.

She sat on the bed, holding the level 2 water-type crystal core she had obtained that morning. After absorbing two crystal cores last time, she could clearly feel that the energy in her water-type crystal core had reached its peak.

Unfortunately, her water-based abilities didn't level up when her mental strength improved, but she could sense that her water-based abilities were very close to being upgraded, just one thin layer of paper away from being broken through.

If I were to absorb this crystal core now, I'm afraid I would level up immediately.

However, she cannot focus solely on her current situation. She will put away the water-based crystal core and wait until she settles down in City A before upgrading her water-based abilities.

She then took out a few crystal cores from her spatial storage and placed them aside. She had fought her way here, which had depleted her powers considerably, and now she needed to recover them.

Guided by her mental power, the unseen energy rapidly flew out of the crystal core, entered her body, circulated within her body, and finally returned to her two crystal cores.

Two hours later, Lin Ruo opened her eyes, her mental energy receded, and her energy returned to calm.

She turned to look at the clock on the table. It was almost four in the afternoon; the hottest time of the day was over, and she could leave.

She opened the RV door first. Afu and Ashou were lying outside. There were several more corpses of mutated beasts around. They heard no movement inside the vehicle and knew that Lin Ruo was either sleeping or cultivating. They kept an eye on their surroundings to prevent any mutated beasts from disturbing her.

Lin Ruo got out of the car. There wasn't much blood on the corpses of those mutated beasts. She scanned them with her mental energy and found that they had all died from having their skulls smashed. Afu and Ashou knew that she was busy and couldn't collect the corpses in time, and were afraid of attracting more mutated beasts, so they deliberately tried to kill these mutated beasts in a way that caused less blood loss. However, this would also increase the difficulty for them to kill the mutated beasts.

She walked over and put the mutated beast corpses into her spatial storage. Afu and Ashou lay on the ground without moving. Each of them was now about 9 meters long and more than 5 meters tall at the shoulder. Even just the height of their heads exceeded Lin Ruo's height. Their chins were now touching the ground, and Lin Ruo still couldn't look them in the eye.

"Afu and Ashou are such good boys," Lin Ruo gently patted Afu and Ashou's huge noses, then took out a large basin from her space and filled it with chilled lake water. "It's so hot, drink more water."

Afu and Ashou stuck out their huge tongues and licked Lin Ruo's hand before standing up and lowering their heads to drink water. The weather was too hot, and they could drink a whole basin of water each time to ensure their normal metabolic balance.

“We should set off,” Lin Ruo said, taking out a compass and a map from her spatial storage and carefully identifying the directions on the map.

Ah Shou leaned closer, his nose close to Lin Ruo's head, his big eyes curiously looking at the map in Lin Ruo's hand. Hmm... he couldn't understand it.

The hot breath from Ah Shou's nose messed up Lin Ruo's hair. She silently pushed Ah Shou's big nose away a little. Just as she was about to turn her head, she saw Ah Fu give Ah Shou a claw on the back of the head. Of course, Ah Fu couldn't use any force. This claw was just a tickle to Ah Shou. She jumped and hopped to bite Ah Fu's tail.

Lin Ruo sighed helplessly. Despite their large size, these two had personalities like children.

She turned around and put the basin of water into her spatial storage, then put the RV into her spatial storage as well. Only then did she call out to Afu and Ashou, who were still playing around behind her, "Stop playing, let's go."

After Afu and Ashou stopped, they immediately ran back. Lin Ruo walked to Afu's side, placed two huge bags on Afu's body and tied them securely with ropes, then turned around and jumped onto Ashou's back. "Let's go!"

Normally, driving a campervan with the air conditioning on in this kind of weather would be quite comfortable, but the road conditions along the way were terrible. Just after leaving the seaside, Lin Ruo drove for a while, and the road was full of gravel and cracks filled with silt. If Lin Ruo hadn't used ice to cushion the road, the car would probably have gotten stuck in the cracks long ago.

The car probably couldn't get through, so they had to ride Afu and Ashou through.

Lin Ruo sat on Ashou's back and directed Ashou to move forward according to the route drawn earlier. The map showed that the shortest route would pass through H City and S City, but many of the landmarks on the map had disappeared after the earthquake and tsunami. Lin Ruo could only vaguely identify them by the surrounding mountains and forests.

Along the way, Lin Ruo discovered the unique features of H City: the entire city was built on a huge slope with a very steep incline. The further they went, the higher the altitude became, and they were almost constantly climbing uphill.

At first, she rode on Ah Shou's back and saw the city ravaged by the tsunami under the moonlight. The higher she went, the more the traces of the tsunami disappeared, replaced by the ruins of the earthquake and huge cracks that stretched for dozens of meters in the ground. When Ah Shou crossed those cracks, Lin Ruo looked down and saw that they were bottomless.

Along the way, there were many survivors, all carrying baskets, digging something out of the ruins. Lin Ruo didn't pay much attention to them, but the survivors kept watching Lin Ruo and his group.

Many survivors glanced at each other and silently followed behind Lin Ruo and the others. Lin Ruo ignored them, knowing that with Afu and Ashou's speed, they couldn't possibly keep up.
