Hattori Heiji held Toyama Kazuha's hand and ran all the way to Gyoryuji Temple. He was a little overwhelmed as he didn't know which building to go to. Fortunately, he had memorized the location of the warehouse, so she quickly pointed the way:
"Heiji, go over there! I just heard them say there's a knife and a bow and arrow in the cabinet!"
Hattori Heiji, who was currently unarmed, really needed a samurai sword. He pulled Kazuha into the warehouse and quickly locked the warehouse door from the inside before the pursuers arrived.
"Damn it, the door is locked from the inside and can't be opened!"
"Idiot, how can you possibly kick the door open? Go get an axe!"
Seeing that time was running out, Hattori Heiji ran to the cabinets and opened them one by one, trying to find the samurai sword. However, there were so many cabinets that finding the samurai sword was just a matter of luck.
Yuanshan Heye stared at the cabinet for a while, recalling what the criminal said, and reminded:
"I remember they said to put the spare knife in Benkei's drawer."
"Huh? What does Benkei's drawer mean?"
Hattori Heiji was completely confused, not understanding the meaning of this code. He carefully examined the cabinet and suddenly found that the wood grain looked familiar. He wondered where he had seen it before... where could it be?
"Ah! I remember now!" Toyama Kazuha pointed at the cabinet in front of her and exclaimed, "The arrangement of these drawers is the same as the streets in Kyoto!"
After hearing Kazuha's reminder, Hattori Heiji quickly realized that the crow represented Karasuma Road, and the road on the other side was Octopus Pharmacist. He calmed down and thought about what the drawer represented, muttering to himself:
"Wait a minute, are these guys naming drawers after places? Then Benkei's drawer, doesn't that mean Benkei Stone? I remember Benkei Stone was... damn, how could I forget how to sing that ball song at the critical moment!"
Just when Hattori Heiji was in a state of panic, he heard a familiar song.
Yuanshan Heye closed her eyes and recalled the ball song her relatives had taught her when she was a child, and hummed it softly:
"Marutake Iji, Oshimike, Bride Rokkaku, Takanishiki... Heiji! The three are on the upper two levels of the octopus!"
Hattori Heiji's eyes widened slightly. He couldn't believe that Kazuha actually knew this song, and just like the girl in his memory, he sang "Sister San" as "Bride".
Could it be that... Could it be that He Ye is the girl from that year? !
"Heiji, what are you standing there for? They are almost coming in!" Toyama and Ye saw that Hattori Heiji was actually in a daze, so they pushed him a few times and brought back the consciousness of the person who had run away from home.
The moment the axe finally broke the door, Hattori Heiji also successfully found the drawer containing the katana. He pulled it forward suddenly, and held the katana tightly in the air to block the masked man's slash.
Hattori Heiji easily withstood the opponent's attack, and said with a slight smile:
"The unique sword pattern is the same inside and outside. I never thought you had the demon sword Muramasa."
"Tsk, if I had known you were such a difficult kid, I should have killed you right away." The masked man's deep voice came from behind the mask. The voice sounded a little familiar, and was somewhat similar to Nishijo Taiga's.
Who is he? Why does it feel so familiar? Could it be that the person I confronted earlier wasn't Nishijo Taiga, but this mysterious man in front of me whose identity I don't know?
Hattori Heiji kicked forward, took the opportunity to grab Kazuha's hand and ran out. He had to get Kazuha to a safe place first. As he ran out, he said:
"He Ye, quickly find a safe place to hide. I'll go deal with this guy!"
"No, your injury hasn't healed yet!"
"Stop nagging! Hide quickly, or I'll be distracted!"
Toyama Kazuha bit her lip. Heiji had already said this; it would be willful for her to stay any longer. She turned and ran in the other direction. Takashi-kun might need help, too, and her Aikido could still keep her safe.
The masked man curled his lips when he saw this scene and said with disdain:
"I didn't expect you to be so infatuated. Then why are you still looking for your so-called first love?"
"Idiot, of course I've found it - take it, bastard!" Hattori Heiji rushed forward quickly, holding the demon sword Muramasa in both hands and slashed at the masked man's waist. Taking advantage of the attack, the masked man had to lower his body to resist the waist cut.
The masked man sensed that Hattori Heiji's kendo skills were comparable to his own. If he continued to play against him while masked, he would likely lose within sight. Without hesitation, he ran back, then leaped up, grabbed the eaves, and stood up. Crouching, he stared at Hattori Heiji beneath the eaves, and raised his hand in a provocative gesture.
"You bastard!"
How could the hot-blooded Hattori Heiji tolerate the other party's provocation? Besides, he couldn't let this guy go up to the roof again. His archery skills were very good, and it would be bad if he disturbed Brother Takashi.
He followed her onto the roof, but when he looked up, a look of surprise appeared on his face.
Why did he show such an expression? Because the masked man actually took off his mask, and the face revealed was exactly the same as Nishijo Taiga's.
What's going on? Are they twins?
"You seem surprised?" Saijo Daiyong brushed back the loose hair on his forehead, stared at Hattori Heiji with cold eyes, and said with a wicked smile: "Hattori Heiji, let's fight it out again."
"Who on earth are you?"
"If you can beat me, I'll tell you."
Fujiwara Yu, who ran to test whether Nishijo Taiga was still alive, breathed a sigh of relief. He was very worried that the kick he just gave would kill him. If he was really dead, things would be a bit troublesome.
