The dim light lazily poured down from above, as if showing mercy.
His nose was filled with the smell of rust. He struggled to support himself and looked at the surrounding facilities, but his vision was blurry.
From the image, one could vaguely make out that this was an empty room so plain that it didn't even have a bed. However, there was a retro wardrobe placed on the wall directly opposite. There seemed to be some pattern carved on it, but it was impossible to make out even if one squinted one's eyes.
Where is this? What's in the closet?
The black-haired young man reached out and touched something cold beside him. He didn't bother to check and just stood up with force. He wanted to see what was in the closet to see if it was the key item to leave the room.
He placed his hands on the handles and pulled them towards himself. The noise startled the sleeping black creatures, and they flew towards the uninvited guests who disturbed their sweet dreams with their claws and fangs bared.
The black fur brushed against his cheeks, and the black-haired young man raised his hands to protect his face as much as possible, but he didn't know that the target of these black creatures was not him, but the cold objects he had just touched.
He lowered his arms that were covering his eyes, turned around and looked at the group of bats that were chirping, and his vision gradually returned to normal.
His already sickly pale face became even uglier after he saw what the cold object was that attracted the bats.
This is not an object, it is a corpse that has been disemboweled and has lost its body temperature.
winter. winter. winter.
There was a rhythmic knocking sound. The black-haired young man subconsciously clenched his hands and moved his neck with difficulty to look in the direction of the sound. What appeared in his field of vision was a blood-stained mask.
Bloodstained animal mask, black goat.
Black...goat.
“merry christmas.”
“!
!”
Fujiwara Yu, who was lying flat in the quilt, suddenly opened his eyes. The terrifying black goat mask disappeared from his sight in an instant. A small ray of sunlight shone through the thick curtains into the dim room. A moment later, the alarm clock on the bedside table made a shrill sound.
The feeling of thin sweat covering his back was not pleasant. He reached out and pressed the off button on the alarm clock, got out of bed, went into the bathroom, took off his pajamas, and took a shower without waiting for the shower water to warm up, just to make his head clearer.
It’s not a pleasant feeling to be awakened by a nightmare, especially one that has bound you for nearly three years.
Wearing slippers and a bathrobe, Fujiwara Yu wiped her hair with a towel while recalling the scenes she saw in her dream. Even though the scenes in the dream were very vague, she was sure that the recurring black goat animal mask was the culprit of the nightmare.
He bent down, opened the secret compartment of the suitcase, and took out a sketchbook.
The contents of the sketchbook are the memory scenes that have appeared in nightmares over the past three years, including vague human faces, broken corpses, closed elevator doors, internal structures similar to ventilation ducts, and recurring black goat masks.
Fragmented memory fragments cannot be pieced together into a complete memory puzzle, and many key contents are missing.
A book friend I've known for ten years recommended Yeguo Reading to me. It's so damn useful! I use it to pass the time, even while driving or before bed, listening to books aloud. You can download it here.yeguoyuedu
But one thing is certain - the center around which these memory fragments revolve is the specially made black goat mask.
Fujiwara Yu relied on his memory to present the scenes in his dream in a sketchbook. He couldn't recall the content of the dream over and over again, so all he could do was draw what he saw on paper and ponder it.
He thought of the last words in his dream, "Merry Christmas." Could it be that he was kidnapped on Christmas Day? But when he woke up, it was already New Year's Eve. He couldn't have been kidnapped for a week.
Hearing a knock at the door, Fujiwara Yu quickly packed his sketchbook into the secret compartment of his suitcase. He walked to the door in his slippers and confirmed through the peephole that the person standing outside was White before opening the door and asking:
"Did someone punch your eyes?"
The swollen eyelids made the deep double eyelids look like single eyelids. White picked up the ice pack in his hand and applied it to his eyelids, his tone full of grievance:
"No, I just stayed up all night watching a Japanese drama... The hero and heroine were so pitiful. They were clearly in love but had to separate. They finally reunited but because of their different standpoints, he guessed she was hiding something. I cried all night until my eyes were sore."
"...Oh, so in the end, is it the hero or the heroine who died?" The 0.1% worry on Fujiwara Yu's face disappeared completely after he knew the reason. He patiently asked about the result, just to cooperate with this sentimental subordinate who was keen on watching soap operas.
"No, the hero and heroine are happily together in the finale."
"Didn't they say they have different standpoints? How could they be together?"
"It was just a misunderstanding!" White, seeing Claire's interest in the plot, even stopped icing his puffy eyes and excitedly began to recount the story between the hero and heroine: "The heroine was coerced, and once the hero cleared up the misunderstanding, things started to become sweet, so the ending is naturally a happy one!"
"Oh, boring."
Rather than this kind of meaningless soap opera, it would be better to investigate the identity of the bird-masked criminals and the relevant information of the organization. The intelligence on hand is really too little. I really don't know what those CIA agents are doing. Could it be that they didn't even conduct an investigation in Japan?
It's ridiculous enough.
"Have you found any clues about the masked criminal I asked you to investigate?"
