The fishing boat rented by the Nagano Prefecture police slowly sailed towards the Sad Love Lake campsite. Hattori Heiji, who had been waiting for a long time, couldn't wait to stand on the rock and wave at them, as if he was afraid that they would not be able to see him, the little black man, in the dim night.
The first person to disembark was a young policewoman with a ponytail. After counting the number of people, she did not forget to ask the oldest one, Sosuke Takashi:
"Hello, I'm Detective Yui Uehara of the Nagano Prefectural Police Headquarters. Are you the Mr. Takashi mentioned in the call?"
"Yes, that's right." Fujiwara Yu pulled out his police ID and explained, "I'm Sosuke Takashi from the Osaka Police Headquarters. Sorry for taking so long to come here. The rest of the team has already left by helicopter, so I'd like to ask you to help carry these suitcases."
Yui Uehara hadn't expected this handsome young man with beautiful purple hair to be a detective. Although she had her doubts about his hair color, her police ID was indeed genuine. Without giving it much thought, she turned to look at the two people still on the boat and raised her voice:
"Ah Gan! Gao Ming! What are you two still standing there for? Come down quickly and help carry the suitcases!"
Two tall men soon came down from the fishing boat. The former had dark skin and pigtails at the ends of his hair. He had his hands in his pockets and had a somewhat impatient expression, which was similar to that of Jinpei Matsuda. It could be seen that he was the "Agan" mentioned by Yui Uehara.
The latter was a gentleman with fair skin, completely different from the "Agan" style. He had a mustache and a light blue tie tied neatly. But these were not the main points - the main point was his pair of upturned phoenix eyes, which were very similar to those of Zhufu Jingguang, but compared to Jingguang, his eyes were more slender.
After seeing the male police officer named "Takaaki", Fujiwara Yu realized that the man in front of him was most likely his biological brother who was a criminal police officer in Nagano Prefecture and whom Morifushi Kagemitsu had mentioned, so his name should be Morifushi Takaaki.
"Uehara, didn't I tell you not to call me that at work? How can a subordinate call his superior that way!" Although Yamato Gansuke was cursing, his micro-expression betrayed that he was secretly happy about the special nickname he was given.
Zhu Fu Gaoming silently carried the suitcases. He had no interest in being a third wheel for these two people. After he finished moving everything, he did not forget to remind them:
"Takashi-kun, we'll have to trouble you to go back with us later to take the statement."
"It's not a big deal. Mr. Gao Ming, would you like some canned coffee?" Fujiwara Yu deliberately called the other person's name because he didn't know his last name in the previous self-introduction. If he called him "Mr. Morofushi", it would arouse his suspicion.
"Thank you for your kindness. I don't really like bitter things."
Fujiwara Yuu naturally didn't like the bitter and sour canned American coffee very much, but he hadn't had a good rest in the past three days. After recording his testimony, he had to rush back to Osaka overnight. If he didn't have something to refresh himself, he was afraid that he would fall unconscious on the way back.
I have to say that what Senior Otaki said, "For a detective, the unlucky thing is coffee. The most unlucky thing is to drink coffee at night, which means you have to work overtime for free at night," is particularly true. Ever since he was forced to be a cheap detective, he looks forward to getting off work on time every day, because that means there are no cases that require him to go to the scene.
He was leaning on the deck railing, sipping his can of coffee. Before he could finish half a sip, someone poked his elbow, choking him and causing him to cough violently. He looked at the culprit, Hattori Heiji, with a bad look.
"Hahaha, Brother Yingsi, I didn't mean it. I just wanted to tell you a little secret between men."
Fujiwara Yuu's face was filled with the expression "Don't try to hold back your laughter when you say this." He reluctantly took out a handkerchief to cover the coffee stain on his chest, but how could the stain be wiped clean so easily? Suppressing his obsessive-compulsive disorder, he frowned and said in a bad tone:
"If you have to fart, do it now. If you don't, get out of here."
Hattori Heiji made sure that no one was approaching this side, then he cautiously approached and asked softly:
"Hey, Brother Yingsi, you've known Miss Saito for a long time, right? Were you two boyfriend and girlfriend in the past?"
If he didn't have a handsome and youthful face, that cunning expression on his face would only be described as "sleazy" if it were on someone with ordinary looks.
Gossip will kill you. Fujiwara Yuu muttered to himself.
"What's my relationship with her? What does it have to do with you?"
"Of course it does matter. Brother Takashi, since you are staying at my house, I have to be responsible for you! This is because I care about you and want to ask if you are happy or not!" Hattori Heiji's skill in talking is something he learned naturally. He said these words without any embarrassment and was quite proud of it.
"It's an adult matter, so why should you, a minor, interfere?" Fujiwara Yu made up an excuse to get away with it. His relationship with Hattori was not close enough that they could confide in each other about anything. Besides, he was just a child and couldn't solve the problems of adults.
Hattori Heiji curled his lips, feeling bored. He fixed his eyes on Toyama Kazuha, who was dozing on a bench, and asked:
"Then you can always tell me how you solved the mystery? When did you know the murderer was Mr. Tono?"
"She stumbled upon Itsuki Yosuke's real name, Shinsuke Kimura, and discovered the similarities among those people's names. Excluding those of us who weren't invited, only Tono Eiji's romanized initials didn't start with a k or an s, so she was able to deduce who the murderer was."
Without asking, you know who this "she" refers to. Only when talking about "her" will Brother Yingsi show such an expression. Hattori Heiji took in his joy and after carefully recalling the names of those people, he suddenly realized:
