Chapter 189,/.

Saburo Taguchi didn't know how he ended up at the residence, he only knew that he had killed someone.

He didn't dare return to the scene to check, let alone look at his own crazy masterpiece. He only knew that before leaving, he stepped on an orange and fell to the ground. Fortunately, he had not taken off his gloves at the time, and his fingerprints were not left behind.

Saburo Taguchi sat down on the tatami mat which was only three and a half tatami mats in size. He immediately became irritated when he saw the cup noodle bucket on the low coffee table.

Solidified grease was already floating on the brown soup, and even black mold could be seen growing. But this wasn't the reason for his irritability; he was annoyed by the IOU that lay beneath him.

“What a fucking bad luck!!”

He took out the cheapest brand of Young Leaf cigarettes from his pocket, shook out a cigarette, lit it and took a deep puff. The intake of nicotine gradually calmed him down. What worried him at this stage was not the IOU, but whether the police would come to investigate him.

Saburo Taguchi smoked a cigarette as he pondered what to do if the police showed up. He looked down at his clothes, a sense of unease rising within him. He quickly stood up and took off his coat, heading for the bathroom as he did so. He had to change and clean the clothes he'd worn during the crime. What if there were bloodstains on them that he hadn't noticed?

After taking a shower, changing into pajamas, and lying on the tatami, Saburo Taguchi watched TV for a while and felt relieved instantly, because almost three hours had passed and the police had not come to his door yet. Most likely, they would not be able to uncover his perfect crime.

He sat up cross-legged on the tatami. At this stage, he should think about how to pay off his debts... Or should he go back to his old business of kidnapping children?

Taguchi Saburo stroked the stubble on his chin, pondering his next target when he suddenly thought of Hanamori Isamu, who he had crushed to death with his trophy. He frowned and tried to recall it, even muttering to himself:

"Hmm... that kid looks like he's from the Mihua Nursery School, right? Why didn't I think of that before... I can go to the nursery and pick one."

He patted his thigh excitedly, and the image of the nursery emerged in his mind. In such a large nursery, there must be single mothers raising children. Taking action at that time would be the best of both worlds.

Less than three minutes after Saburo Taguchi had been immersed in the sweet dream of paying off the IOU, there was a knock on the door. This made him dare not continue his daydreaming and he quickly stood up, fearing that it was the police. He even pretended to be impatient and shouted:

"Who is it? You're so blind you don't know there's a doorbell!!"

"Hello, I'm here to read the water meter. Your meter is pressed by the wheels. Could you please move your car?"

Could it be that he was frightened by himself? Or was he just born with a stutter?

Saburo Taguchi carefully pushed open a crack in the door and saw the tall man with his hands tangled together. He couldn't help but complain in his heart: He looks quite tall but turns out to be a sissy. Tsk, it's really a waste of his height.

He pushed the door open directly, supported himself on the door frame with one hand and said in a frivolous tone:

"Hey kid, do I look like someone who owns a car? That's the car of the fruit shop owner who lives next door. Ask him to move it."

Fujiwara Yu, pretending to be timid and stuttering, looked at the dirty shoes placed at the door. It was obvious that they had not been washed. Even though the suspect named Taguchi Saburo had changed his clothes, the style and color of the shoes were exactly the same as those in the video.

When he noticed the orange-yellow liquid on his shoelaces, he knew the murderer must be Saburo Taguchi.

In order to remind the two police officers hiding nearby, Fujiwara Yu had to put on a wry smile and put his hands behind his head. On the surface, he looked embarrassed to scratch his head again, but in fact he was gesturing "OK".

Witnessing Fujiwara's impressive performance, two police officers rushed out and stood in front of Fujiwara after seeing the gesture. They aimed their revolvers directly at Saburo Taguchi who was about to light a cigarette and shouted to stop him:

"Don't move! Put your hands up!"

The cigarette in his mouth fell to the ground. Saburo Taguchi never expected this to happen. His eyes fell on the black-haired young man behind the two policemen. He no longer looked timid as before. His back was not hunched nor his head was lowered. He was staring at him with a stern face. His dark blue eyes were also full of anger, as if silently declaring that his perfect crime had failed.

"Mr. Police? Are you mistaken? It's not right to point a gun at a good citizen like me, right?"

The police officer snorted coldly, grabbed Saburo Taguchi's arm and pulled him out, sternly warning him:

"Behave yourself, stand by the wall, and don't move."

"Yes, yes, you can search as much as you want. If you don't find anything, I will file a complaint against you!"

Saburo Taguchi felt a little disdainful. He had already soaked the clothes used in the crime in the washing machine. Even if the police took them back and asked someone to check, they probably wouldn't find any traces.

As for the murder weapon, he had thrown it into the river long ago, and there was no road surveillance on that road.

When Fujiwara Yu heard his sarcasm, he knew that the murder weapon was definitely not in the house and had been disposed of. He bent down to put on white dust-free gloves, lifted up his shoes, and saw orange peels and a small amount of dusty fruit pulp residue attached to the soles.

Fortunately, he did not get rid of his shoes. People always miss the most critical step.

He stood up and took the large evidence bag handed to him by the police officer. After putting the shoes into the evidence bag, he said coldly:

"It's not impossible to find it, because the key evidence is right here."

Crucial...evidence?

Saburo Taguchi hadn't reacted yet, but his face turned ugly when he saw the orange-yellow dirt on the sole of his shoe. He realized that the dirt might be the orange he stepped on before leaving, and he actually forgot about this unlucky thing.
