In the car, Fujiwara Yu called Yin Dahang and found out that there was a body in the museum. He did not show any surprise on his face. According to what Yamada Gongkei said on the phone, he should be surprised if there was no body in the museum.
He drove back to the Metropolitan Police Department and took the elevator to the door of Special Investigation Officer 7's office. The person inside seemed to have heard footsteps, and before Fujiwara Yu could turn the doorknob, the door opened automatically.
Hashimoto Yuji, who usually kept a straight face, now wore a serious expression. He pointed to the USB drive plugged into his laptop and reported:
"Inspector Takashi, I opened the envelope without permission because it was stained with blood. There was a USB drive inside... I'm sorry for taking your things without permission."
"It's okay. Have you confirmed the information in the USB drive?" Fujiwara Yu didn't care about this. No normal person would send a blood-stained envelope to himself. It was necessary to open it in advance to ensure the content.
"It's confirmed, there are three videos." Hashimoto Yuji's face was not very good. He avoided his gaze when he clicked on the video, obviously not wanting to watch it a second time.
The first video played on the laptop: a video of a man wearing a dolphin mask brutally murdering a museum security guard. As he pinned the man to the wall, Akihara Kenji and Matsuda Jinpei's expressions darkened. After all, they weren't from the Criminal Division, and having rarely seen corpses, they inevitably felt uncomfortable watching such a scene.
At the end of the first video, Yamada Kimi smiled and walked in front of the camera, making a "yeah" gesture, which was undoubtedly a provocation.
Fujiwara Yu clicked on the second video with a calm expression, and it was consistent with what he thought.
Matsuda Jinpei slammed his fist directly onto the desk, ignoring the pain and burning sensation in his hand. He gritted his teeth and said:
"What on earth does this guy think of human life?!"
"In his eyes, it's just a performance. The people he killed are like dolphins working hard for dried fish... They are just commodities to attract the audience's attention. He doesn't even regard the victims as human beings." Akihara Kenji rarely restrained the smile on his face. If he could laugh at such a thing, he was probably the same type of person as the murderer.
Fujiwara Yu reached out and tugged at the tie on his chest. When he saw the dolphin mask, the black goat mask that appeared in his dream flashed through his mind. Several bloody scenes flashed by like slides, and after the flash, he felt a chill on his back.
The third video was still playing. Akihara Kenji leaned forward and noticed Fujiwara Yuu's pale face. This obvious discomfort made him frown and worry:
"Yingsi? Are you okay? If you feel uncomfortable, sit over there and rest for a while."
"I'm fine, just a little tired from driving back and forth today." Fujiwara Yu found a fairly suitable excuse to go over. Solving the case is the most important thing now, and he cannot be absent until it is over.
He dragged the mouse to click on the third video, and when he saw the girl appearing on the screen, everyone's heart shrank suddenly.
It's Akemi Miyano.
It was Akemi Miyano who was unconscious and chained to the corner.
After the sound of footsteps, Yamada Gongkei, without his dolphin mask, smiled and waved towards the camera, as if to say hello. He moved aside a little to ensure that Miyano Akemi could be sent, then said with a smile:
"Hello, Officer Ying Si, you must be watching this video now, right? Let me guess your expression, are you super nervous? Hahahahaha don't worry, she's not dead yet, she's one of the chips in the game."
Yin Dahang, who had just returned to the Metropolitan Police Department and walked into the office, happened to see this scene. The moment he saw Saito Masami, his eyes fell on Fujiwara Yu. A trace of worry appeared on his face, fearing that Fujiwara would lose his mind.
He was the only person present who knew how important Saito Masami was to Fujiwara Yu.
"Isn't this the girl who appeared in the surveillance camera? Damn it... I should have arranged for the police to protect her secretly." Matsuda Jinpei said unhappily with clenched fists.
Fujiwara Yu stared at the laptop screen with an expressionless face. Anger and panic were only momentary emotions. He quickly calmed down and focused all his attention on the video. He wanted to analyze the kidnapping location through the video.
"As for the game, it's definitely boring with just one chip, so I've prepared a second chip. It's also someone you know. Oh, I forgot to mention, it's someone Officer Takashi and Officer Matsuda know well!"
In the video, Yamada Kimi moved the camera to the other side of the room. A short-haired man was hanging in the air with chains. He was still wearing a police uniform. His left cheek was swollen, and it was obvious that he had been severely beaten before he fell into coma.
"Officer Komatsu!" Jinpei Matsuda exclaimed when he saw the man appearing in the video.
Akihara Kenji had a good memory. After a moment of thought, he asked:
"Is that Komatsu Shouya? The one you mentioned before, the one who rescued you during the racecourse incident?"
"Well, it's him... I didn't expect that Yamada Kimike would kidnap him too. He wants to take revenge on all the people involved in the case." When Matsuda Jinpei said this, he looked worriedly at Fujiwara Yu who was silent. So, Fuji's identity has been seen through by Yamada Kimike? How did this guy do it?
When Fujiwara Yu answered the phone at the Beika Hotel, he guessed his identity had been exposed, and now watching this video undoubtedly confirmed his guess. He looked down at his fingers. Fingerprints cannot be changed. So when did he come into contact with Yamada Gongkei... and how did this person get his fingerprints?
