In order not to disturb the death anniversary ceremony of the former village chief, Mr. Isamu Kameyama, the group had to wait outside the community center. In order to conserve their strength, Kogoro Mouri sat carelessly on the steps. Those who didn't know him would think he was guarding the gate.
Edogawa Conan stole a glance at Xiaolan, and after making sure that her attention was not on him, he ran to the side of Takashi Sosuke, tugged at his trouser legs, and waited until he squatted down before whispering in his ear:
"Brother Yingsi, I just played that piano and it felt a little weird."
"Huh? Can't it make a sound?" Fujiwara Yu, who knew nothing about music or musical instruments, tilted his head and asked in confusion.
After all, in his cognition, an instrument that can make sound is a good instrument, and he has no idea what pitch is.
The corners of Edogawa Conan's mouth twitched. He had never expected that Brother Yingsi knew nothing about musical instruments. He had no choice but to explain in plain words:
"No, I mean the pitch. Normally, a piano that hasn't been used for two years should have a buzzing sound, but when I played it, I found that the pitch was very accurate."
"You mean... someone tuned this piano?"
"That's right, I just don't know what the purpose of the person who tuned the music is. I always feel that this matter is not that simple, especially the letter of commission sent to my uncle. Why did he use Keiji Aso's name?" Conan Edogawa frowned. He had a bad premonition that something bad was going to happen.
Fujiwara Yu pursed his lips and did not answer. He knew that Yueying Island was not a simple matter, but from now on, he was not sure what the purpose of the person who sent the letter of commission was.
He wasn't even sure whether Keiji Aso was related to the organization, or whether this seemingly peaceful island was hiding some unknown and shocking secret waiting for them to explore.
"Don't think too much about it for now. After the ritual is over, go meet the village chief of Heiyan who is being boycotted by the islanders."
"Well, that's all I can do."
Just as Edogawa Conan was about to sit down on the ground, he saw Sosuke Takagi squatting in front of the steps with a serious look on his face. He first sprayed the steps with the alcohol disinfectant spray he carried with him. After using half a can, he took out a wet tissue to wipe it, and finally put a clean handkerchief on it.
The corners of his mouth couldn't help but twitch, and his expression was synchronized with that of Kogoro Mouri, who was sitting next to him and was so bored that he was anxious. The two of them couldn't help but sigh in their hearts: Mr. Takashi (Takashi-brother) has a really serious obsession with cleanliness.
Fujiwara Yuuki didn't care what others thought of his behavior, as long as he was happy. He sat on the steps, took out his headphones and played music, but he didn't turn up the volume very high, making sure that he could hear the conversations of the people around him.
For example, Ran Mouri and Conan Edogawa are talking about what to eat for dinner, and Kogoro Mouri is holding his mobile phone and tapping the screen constantly, and he laughs like a pervert from time to time. No one knows what he is laughing at.
Time passed minute by minute, and the sky gradually darkened. Fujiwara Yu looked up at the bright moon hanging in the sky. Today was a very standard full moon night.
Just as he was staring at the moonlight in a daze, melodious piano sounds came from the community center. He didn't react at first what the sound was. It was not until Edogawa Conan suddenly stood up that he realized that it was the "Moonlight Sonata".
not good!
The police also had a keen sense of smell for cases. Fujiwara Yu quickly stood up without even bothering to take away the handkerchief under his butt, and ran in different directions with his long legs. He knew that Kudo would push the door directly into the piano room, so he would go in through the back door near the beach. If he was lucky, he might run into a suspicious person.
However, his idea was good, but his luck was not very good.
When he arrived at the back door, he didn't see any suspicious people. He looked down at the sea water mixed with fine sand in front of the door, and there were also drag marks left by the sea water on the steps.
Fujiwara Yuu followed the dragging marks toward the beach and noticed a black suit jacket washed ashore by the waves. Could it be the victim's clothing? He took out his phone and took a photo of the evidence. Then he went to the door again and leaned over to examine it carefully. He found no signs of prying and it was locked.
After confirming these things, he returned to the main gate and pushed through the residents of Tsukikage Island who were blocking the entrance to attend the ritual. As soon as he entered, he saw Maori Kogoro calmly pick up the tape recorder hidden inside the piano, press the pause button, and glare at the surprised Squinting Eyes with his half-moon eyes and said:
"The piano sound isn't coming from a ghost or a curse, it's simply this tape recorder. This shows that the criminal is imitating two previous murders. This is a planned murder."
"Hey, hey, hey, can you please stop talking nonsense? By the way, who are you exactly?" The tall man wearing a woolen hat and round-frame sunglasses frowned unhappily and asked Kogoro Mouri.
Maori Kogoro put his hands in his pockets, cleared his throat, and said confidently:
"Are you asking me? I'm the famous detective Mouri Kogoro from Tokyo!"
The people around stared at Mouri Kogoro for a long time, and then started whispering. It was obvious that they did not know Mouri Kogoro, and had never even heard of such a person in the detective world.
This made the confident Maori Kogoro a little embarrassed. He noticed Takashi Sosuke in the crowd and quickly waved his hand:
"Officer Ying Si, where did you go just now?"
"I went to the beach to take a look." Fujiwara Yuu's eyes fell on the traces of seawater on the floor. He smiled and handed his phone to Edogawa Conan, motioning him to look at the photos he had taken. He continued, "The victim was attacked at the beach and then dragged all the way into the house by the murderer, so there's a high probability that there was seawater on his body."
