Fujiwara Yu originally thought someone was bold enough to try to scam people at the Metropolitan Police Department's gate, but when he heard what the man said, he realized that things were not that simple. As a police officer, he would not miss any possibility. He pushed open the car door and stepped forward to ask:
"Sir, are you here to report a missing person?"
"That's right, Officer Ying Si, please help me investigate my girlfriend's disappearance. She hasn't been heard from for three days. Her phone is completely unreachable, and she hasn't returned to her residence. She wouldn't do something so willful as to scare me. Please, Officer Ying Si, please help me!"
The man was very emotional and it was obvious that he was not lying, which confirmed that his girlfriend was indeed missing.
Fujiwara Yu noticed that passers-by were casting curious glances at him, and some even raised their phones to take pictures. He had no choice but to hold the man's wrist and walk towards the car, motioning him to sit in the back seat.
The two of them got into the back seat of the car. Miyano Akemi started the car and drove towards the Metropolitan Police Department in tacit understanding. Fujiwara Yu opened a bottle of mineral water and handed it to the man, saying soothingly:
"Take a sip of water to calm yourself down and then answer my questions."
The man gulped down two large gulps. From the way his cheeks were stiff from the wind and his lips were chapped, it was easy to tell that he had been waiting at the Metropolitan Police Department door for a long time. He was probably unsure of his working hours and had been standing at the door waiting eagerly in order to avoid missing it.
"I'm calm now, Officer Takashi."
"Okay, then first tell me your name, then tell me your girlfriend's name and age, when you found out she was missing, and where she disappeared."
After hearing these words, the man knew that Takashi Sosuke was willing to help him. His eyes were slightly red as he said:
"My name is Ozaki Koji, and my girlfriend is Maeda Fumika, she's 24 years old. I called her the morning before yesterday, but no one answered. I thought she was sleeping in, so I didn't think much of it.
But during lunch break at noon, I was going to go find her for lunch. When I called her, her phone was turned off. I felt something was wrong, so I went to the nearby police station to report the case. However, I waited at home for a whole day but received no news. When I went to the police station again, the two policemen actually said that Fumika was an adult and it was impossible for her to disappear so easily. She must have run away from home because of a conflict!
Officer Takashi, please believe me! Fumika and I really didn't have a fight. Something must have happened to her, and it's probably related to her best friend Hirata Hitomi!
Fujiwara Yuu couldn't help but frown when he heard this. If Maeda Fumika was really missing, she would have been missing for three days. Furthermore, no kidnappers had called during that time. Even if there were kidnappers, their motive wasn't money.
After hearing the second half, a name caught his attention. If Ozaki Koji didn't seem to be lying, he would have thought that this guy was deliberately leading the police to suspect Hirata Hitomi.
"Why do you think your girlfriend's disappearance is related to Hirata Hitomi?"
"Because when I went to see her yesterday, her attitude was extremely rude. She even tried to sow discord and insult my girlfriend, saying that Fumika was disgusted by my lack of money to buy a house, so she hooked up with her rich second-generation boyfriend and ran away!"

"Of course!" Ozaki Koji felt angry when he thought of Hirata Hitomi's face. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, "Of course I believe Fumika. She agreed to my proposal last month. She is so kind and innocent that she would never do such a thing. I asked her to have lunch with me at noon so that I could give her a surprise in the afternoon... To be honest, I designed a wedding dress for her. I worked hard to make money during this period so that I could have the money to make the wedding dress. But now Fumika is missing. Officer Takashi, please, please let me find her. Fumika is everything to me. I can't live without her!"
When talking about the surprise and the wedding dress, Ozaki Koji finally smiled. Even Fujiwara Yuu noticed that whenever he mentioned Maeda Fumika's name, his tone and eyes would become gentle. It seemed that he really liked her.
"I will formally investigate this missing person case. Please leave me your contact information."
"Thank you! Really...thank you so much!"
Miyano Akemi watched Ozaki Koji bowing as he left. She turned to look at Fujiwara Yuu, who was sitting in the back seat of the car without saying a word. She guessed what her boyfriend was worried about and comforted him:
"Ayou, find her as soon as possible. Even if something really happened, Mr. Ozaki is waiting for a result, right? He is stronger than you think and won't do anything irrational. Just go ahead and investigate."
"Yeah, I understand." When Fujiwara Yu opened the car door, he realized that Miyano Akemi had driven her own car. He leaned over and asked, "When you take a taxi back later, be careful. Remember to email me when you get home."
"Okay, don't worry."
After Fujiwara Yu took the elevator to the office, he immediately asked Hashimoto Yuji, who was still making coffee, to investigate the social relations of the missing person Maeda Fumika and relevant information about the suspect Hirata Hitomi.
As for what he was going to do now? Naturally, he went to the lounge with his laptop, logged into the Metropolitan Police Department system after making sure no one else was watching, and prepared to investigate Edogawa Conan's information.
