Realizing that he would be arrested due to the solid evidence, Saburo Taguchi, who was afraid of going to jail, knelt down and begged for mercy:
"Don't arrest me! I just want the money. I don't want to kill anyone! As long as the child comes with me, I'll send someone to send her to a wealthy family. I really don't want to kill anyone, but that old woman is trying to snatch her from me!"

Fujiwara Yu's gaze was fixed on the small apartment where Saburo Taguchi lived. Just by looking inside the small room, he could see almost all the furnishings in the house.
Born into a wealthy family, he didn't understand the struggles of money, but he knew he shouldn't commit such a dehumanizing crime, even when desperate. Despite being able-bodied, Saburo Taguchi refused to work to support himself, resorting to child trafficking and ultimately brutally murdering elderly people and young children.
This is something he cannot tolerate and will never understand.
As a policeman, he is afraid that he will never be able to understand what is going on in the hearts of criminals, nor what they are thinking when they take the lives of others... Can anyone who can still kill someone after hearing a plea really be a human being?
