According to the 5,000 yen provided by Onizuka Hachizo, they could only purchase six bottles of toilet cleaner. After paying for the plastic bags, the two of them spent it all, exactly the same.
Matsuda Jinpei put one hand in his pocket and hunched his back slightly as he walked out of the convenience store and couldn't help but complain:
"Tsk, old owl is really stingy. He didn't even leave money for a bottle of water."
Owl? The image of Instructor Onizuka gradually emerged in Fujiwara Yu's mind. His hairstyle really did look a bit like an owl. I never thought Matsuda Jinpei was so good at giving people nicknames.
"If you want some water, I can treat you."
"Don't try to bribe me with mineral water. Besides, it's not like I don't have money. I just want to complain." Matsuda Jinpei felt helpless. This kid didn't really think he wanted to drink water, did he?
"Oh, I see."
On the way here, Matsuda Jinpei had researched a shortcut back to the police academy. In order to get someone with poor directions to follow him closely, he even asked very patiently:
"Hey, we can save time if we go this way. Wanna go?"
"Can't you just call my name?" Fujiwara Yu asked with a frown.
"Why do you have so many questions? Do we have a good relationship? Not good, right? So it's my freedom to call you whatever I want." Matsuda Jinpei was used to freedom, otherwise he wouldn't have given his instructor a nickname, and he also held a grudge against Fujiwara Yu for taking out alcohol disinfectant spray to disinfect the places he had touched.
Even though Fujiwara Yu had a good temper, he showed some anger. He put one hand in his pocket and walked towards the shortcut, saying something that made Matsuda Jinpei quickly furious.
"...Oh, I see. From now on, I'll call you Little Scroll. It's my freedom."
Matsuda Jinpei didn't react for a while, and when he came to his senses, he found that Fujiwara was already five meters away from him.
Matsuda Jinpei, only 22 years old, was still full of vigor and vitality. With no work experience, he hadn't yet been smoothed by reality. He chose not to suppress his temper. He rushed forward, grabbed Fujiwara by the back of his collar, and at the entrance of the alley, his loud voice broke the quiet of the night street:
"Hey! Do you want to fight me?!"
However, Fujiwara Yuu's reaction speed was also very fast. The moment he was grabbed by the collar, he used his height advantage to push Matsuda Jinpei against the wall and said in an unhappy tone:
"You're the one who wants to fight, not me."
This guy is really easy to make people feel annoyed. The most annoying thing is probably that this guy is quite nice except for his personality.
Jinpei Matsuda, gripped by this power, was still somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected this seemingly nerdy guy to be so skilled in close combat. However, to think he could control me with such power—that was underestimating me.
Jinpei Matsuda raised his foot and kicked Fujiwara Yu in the abdomen. After creating some distance between them, he walked out of the alley directly. His left hand was slightly extended forward, and his right hand was placed near his cheek, which is the standard boxing posture for a right-handed boxer.
He snorted lightly and took the initiative to provoke:
"How about a fight? Let me see the strength of the number one."
Unexpectedly, the other party would attack directly. The defenseless Fujiwara Yu frowned and looked at the black footprints on the police academy uniform. The tip of his tongue couldn't help but press against his back teeth. His mood had reached its peak because his clothes were stained.
He didn't bother to care that the other person was older than him, nor did he bother to care that they were classmates. Now he just wanted to use his fists to have a good fight with this curly bastard.
"Sure, I also want to know if the rude guy's fist is hard enough."
Communicating with fists is probably the best way for a hot-blooded fool to solve problems.
Fujiwara Yu places the center of gravity of his body on his back leg, spreads his feet shoulder-width apart, and stands in a backward bend.
Seeing this stance, Matsuda Jinpei knew his opponent was best at karate. A duel of fists and kicks? That was really interesting, considering he hadn't fought many karate masters before!
"Don't cry when you lose, you old-fashioned guy!"
"It's still uncertain who will be standing at the end, little scroll!"
“Ahhh—”
After the scream, the postures of one person punching and the other lifting their legs stopped in time as if they were cast under a spell.
Jinpei Matsuda put away his fist and turned around quickly, only to see someone dragging a girl into a car in a rough manner. Just as he squinted his eyes to try to see the license plate information, the car made a sharp turn to the left and disappeared at the intersection.
Fujiwara Yuu withdrew his gaze and looked at Matsuda Jinpei, saying in a stiff tone:
"Are you still ready to fight?"
"Damn, why are you still fighting ghosts at this time! Hurry up and follow me, don't get lost!"
It is impossible for a human to catch up with a car at a running speed, so Matsuda Jinpei's first reaction was to call the police. After saying this, he rushed towards the Asahi-cho area in Fuchu City, which was a little further away.
Because even if he ran back to the closer police academy and reported the kidnapping to the security personnel, he did not have the authority to dispatch police immediately, so it would be better for him to go directly to a slightly farther police station.
The two men ran all the way to the Asahi-cho intersection in Fuchu City. Eager to report the case, Matsuda Jinpei pushed the door open and walked in. The intersection police officer who was standing at the door and chatting was instantly frightened. He drew his baton and treated him as a dangerous element.
Seeing this, Fujiwara Yuu quickly grabbed Matsuda by the back of his collar and pulled him towards him. He freed his right hand and saluted the patrol officer.
"Hello, we are here to report a crime!"
Reporting a crime? The patrol officer was still unwilling to put away his baton. He took a step back to keep his distance and said:
"You two, come over here and tell me what you're here to report."
"We just witnessed a kidnapping at the entrance of the alley at Asahi-machi 3-chome 19. The kidnapper drove a dark blue four-door sedan towards Asahi-machi 4-chome. If you heard it clearly, don't just stand here. Let's quickly check the surveillance footage and investigate!" Jinpei Matsuda said very quickly.
