Chapter 128 Zhou Zhengting Buys Medicine on a Snowy Night

Jiang Qingyue was busy cooling the child down physically when she finally reacted and chased after him.

Zhou Zhengting's figure has already left the yard.

The night was shrouded in darkness by heavy snow, with only a faint light coming from the flashlight in Zhou Zhengting's hand.

Jiang Qingyue's eyes were sore and she was afraid that the child would get cold, so she quickly closed the door to block out the cold wind.

Without thinking about anything else, he hurried to cool down the two children.

I don’t know how long it took.

Until the snow outside stopped completely, a faint hint of white appeared on the horizon.

The familiar footsteps were heard outside the door again.

Jiang Qingyue quickly climbed down from the kang and opened the door.

As the door opened, a gust of cold wind blew in my face.

Even more frightening than the wind was the man in front of him. The strands of hair on his forehead had been frozen by ice and snow, and his eyebrows were all white.

It's like a snowman.

Jiang Qingyue was startled and quickly pulled the person in.

He raised his arms and was about to help the person take off his wet clothes.

Suddenly, she was grabbed by the man.

"I'm fine. Give the medicine to the child first."

As he spoke, he took out a bag of medicine that was tightly wrapped in a bag from his arms.

"Luckily, the doctor on duty at the hospital today is a pediatrician. After listening to my situation, he prescribed these medicines for us to reduce the high fever first. We will go over to see a doctor when we can go out again."

Jiang Qingyue paused after taking the medicine, feeling a mixture of emotions.

"What are you still standing there for? Go now."

"Okay then, clean up yourself and take off all your wet clothes first."

"knew."

Jiang Qingyue hurriedly gave the two children the antipyretic medicine prescribed by the doctor again.

After observing carefully for a while, I felt that the child's fever was indeed subsiding, and it seemed that the medicine was indeed working.

Moreover, he had been slept uncomfortably before, but now he finally felt at ease.

Zhou Zhengting had already taken off his wet clothes and shoes, wrapped himself in a blanket and was about to come in to warm himself by the fire.

Jiang Qingyue immediately stopped the man and said, "You must be frozen stiff. Don't use the fire to warm yourself up first. Go to the bed and warm yourself up."

Zhou Zhengting smiled foolishly, "It's okay, is the child better now?"

Jiang Qingyue nodded, "Much better, the fever is going down. Don't take it lightly. People in the village all say that when your body is frozen, you can only rub it slowly to warm it up. You can't soak it in hot water or warm it by the fire."

As he said that, he carried a quilt to the end of the kang and said, "Come up quickly."

Zhou Zhengting had no choice but to agree and went into bed obediently.

Then he obediently stretched out his frozen hands.

Jiang Qingyue was startled, sat over awkwardly, and slowly began to rub his hands.

The hands that were originally frozen black and cold slowly regained their color after Jiang Qingyue's patient rubbing.

Zhou Zhengting rarely saw her treating him so gently, and he couldn't help but feel happy.

But when I think of my two sick children, I can't hide my sadness.

The ice was so cold today, but he didn't think much of it at the time.

When Jiang Qingyue called them up, I was still thinking about playing with the children for a while longer.

When they went to bed at night, the two children looked a little listless, and he actually thought they were just tired from playing.

It was not until the middle of the night when I felt the two children getting hot that I realized something was wrong.

Glancing at the disappointment in Zhou Zhengting's eyes, Jiang Qingyue instantly understood what he was feeling guilty about.

I couldn't help but speak up to comfort her, "It's cold, it's normal for children to get sick. Thanks to you for going to the county to get the medicine, he should be fine now."

Zhou Zhengting smiled bitterly, "I was just wondering, when your child was sick when he was young, did you take care of him in the same way?"

"This time alone has scared me enough. When I think of you——"

As he was speaking, Zhou Zhengting's voice choked with sobs and he could not continue.

Jiang Qingyue was slightly stunned.

After a while, he changed the subject, "Do you feel your hands better after rubbing them like this?"

Zhou Zhengting quickly adjusted his mood and smiled cheekily, "Much better, my hands have regained feeling, but I feel my whole face is stiff now."

Jiang Qingyue glanced at him, then gently rubbed his face with her warm hands.

After rubbing it a few times, as soon as the stiffness was relieved, Jiang Qingyue pulled up the quilt and wrapped his head.

Only breathe through your mouth and nose.

"Stay warm in the bed and don't get down."

Zhou Zhengting smiled and showed his eyes, "Got it."

Jiang Qingyue was worried that he would catch a cold traveling back and forth all night.

So I decided to get up and go to the kitchen to make him some ginger soup.

But when the ginger soup was ready and I came back, I found that he had fallen asleep.

......

After Zhou Zhengting opened his eyes again.

Then he saw Jiang Qingyue's hand on his forehead.

I just felt dizzy and my throat was sore.

Seeing that it was already bright outside, he cleared his throat and asked, "Why did I sleep so long?"

Jiang Qingyue was startled when she saw him suddenly open his eyes. "You went to the hospital last night and caught a cold. You had a fever this morning and it just subsided after taking medicine. It's noon now."

Zhou Zhengting pretended to struggle to get up.

"I feel much better. How's the baby?"

Chenchen and Niannian also ran over when they heard their father's voice.

"dad--"

"Dad, are you okay?"

An An also imitated Jiang Qingyue and covered his forehead with her little hand, touching his and then her own.

He smiled and said, "It's not hot anymore."

Jiang Qingyue also hurriedly pushed him down, "It's okay for you to get up, lie down for a while, are you hungry?"
