Chapter 10: The Young Marshal's Silent Help (2/2)

Nan Chengcheng studied his face for a moment. He was a smooth talker, but not a bad person at heart. He had been a bit of a scammer, but he had also helped many elderly, weak, women, and children. He was kind, sociable, and righteous. He was also clever, smart, and capable...

If the Nan family wants to revive itself and needs people, it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep him.

"Okay! Second brother, arrange for him to go to the tea garden to keep watch first." Nan Chengcheng agreed.

"Thank you, Master." Xiang Mo's eyes lit up.

"Don't call me Master, call me Sister Cheng."

"OK."

-

Nan Shaoqing was driving on his way home when he passed by Yu Wei's villa, Yu Mansion, on Fujiang Road.

There were several green military vehicles parked in front of Yu Mansion.

"Second brother, stop the car." Nan Chengcheng called out to his second brother.

Nan Shaoqing parked the car on the side of the road.

Nan Chengcheng got out of the car and walked to the military vehicle. He found that there was no one in the vehicle. The big iron gate of Yu Weijiajia was wide open and there was no one in the yard.

"Let's go in and take a look."

"I'll go too. I know Kung Fu and I'll protect you." Xiang Mo raised his hand.

Nan Chengcheng ignored him and walked into the courtyard. He walked to the rain porch of the villa. The door of the villa was half open.

She tilted her head and saw everything in the living room.

The luxurious living room was surrounded like an iron barrel by guards in blue military uniforms.

Yu Wei and he stood beside the sofa shivering, their faces pale.

In the middle of the living room, with his back to Nan Chengcheng, stood a tall man. He was wearing a navy blue windbreaker, a military uniform, and a military cap. He stood still, exuding a majestic aura.

Not far from him were kneeling two men with ugly faces, one with a scar on his left cheek and the other blind in his right eye.

"Boss Yu, you really don't know these two?" Zhan Hengyi's cold voice was oppressive. "These two are always the ones accompanying your Yu Shipping Company's cargo ships on long-distance voyages. They're also the ones who sign customs documents at Songjiang Port. What's going on? Are you playing dumb?"

Yu Wei adjusted his silver-rimmed glasses, pretending to be calm and polite, "Young Marshal, my Yu's shipping company employs a lot of workers, how can we remember them all?

I wonder what they did to get arrested?"

"For one thing, they found a large amount of opium and poison in the cargo ship they were escorting.

Secondly, these two people told the truth after drinking on the cargo ship, saying that they helped you get the Nan family's tea garden, and you will become rich from then on.

How did they help you? Poisoned the tea leaves? " Zhan Hengyi stared at Yu Wei with a cold look in his eyes and an unkind voice.

Yu Wei glared at him and pretended to be confused and innocent, "My Yu family has always been clean in doing business. These two people smuggling opium has nothing to do with my Yu family!

As for my purchase of the Nan family tea plantation, I just wanted to help my fiancée's family through their difficult times. I paid three times the price to buy the tea plantation, and I suffered a huge loss-"

When Zhan Hengyi heard Yu Wei say the words "my fiancée", his eyes suddenly became colder.

Adjutant Xu saw what was happening and immediately slapped the scarred man in the face. "The Nan family's tea was found to be poisonous. Was it you who did this? Tell me!"

"No, it's not us, nor the Yu family. We both drank too much and said the wrong thing, really!" The kneeling scarred man spoke incoherently.

Adjutant Xu immediately pulled out his gun and shot the scarred man in the arm.

"Ah!" The screams resounded throughout the villa.
