The cabin turned into a luxurious room. The military doctor treated Zhan Hengyi's wound, bandaged it, and left.
Only Nan Chengcheng and Zhan Hengyi were left in the room.
There was an IV drip stuck in his hand (IV drips were common during the Republic of China era). He was tall and lying on a narrow bed. I don’t know if he fainted from the pain or fell asleep from exhaustion, but he had his eyes closed in deep sleep.
Nan Chengcheng saw that his clothes were covered in blood and dirt. She knew him and knew he loved cleanliness, so she turned around and fetched a basin of warm water and a clean towel.
She carefully unbuttoned his shirt, and Zhan Hengyi opened his eyes.
"Sorry for waking you up!" Nan Chengcheng stopped.
"No." His eyes were gentle. "Go on."
It was Nan Chengcheng's first time taking care of a man, so she was a little flustered. In the end, she just took a pair of scissors and cut off the parts of his shirt that were inconvenient to take off.
She dipped a towel in clean water and wrung it out halfway, then she helped him clean the blood off his body bit by bit.
While the towel was cleaning her abdomen, she glanced down at his belt -
he-
Nan Chengcheng blushed instantly, and looked at Zhan Hengyi with a suppressed smile.
Zhan Hengyi raised his uninjured arm and pinched her face.
Their eyes met, and his expression grew more and more profound. "Come here."
Nan Chengcheng stood up and kissed him, supporting herself with her hands on the edge of the bed, not daring to press on him.
She pressed a light kiss on his lips, but he seemed unsatisfied. He took the back of her head with one hand and kissed her deeply.
All the intense longing and worry for her these past few days were released through this kiss.
He ran his hand down the back of her head, pulling out her hair, and then down her neck and her slender back, and then -
Plump, soft and beautiful.
The next second, he realized something and let her go. "Give me some water."
Nan Chengcheng felt his body stiffen and tense, and his eyes turned away.
She poured him a glass of water and gave him a drink. She smiled softly with her lips curled up, her eyes flickering slightly. "Why stop? It's not like we haven't kissed or touched each other before, you-"
Zhan Hengyi's breathing was disordered. He moved his jaw and suppressed a smile. "Chengcheng, stop making trouble. Come and lie down next to me."
He moved in closer, leaving some space for her.
She was petite, just big enough to lie down next to him, and murmured softly, "When you have recovered your body, you can touch me however you want.
I like it, and I know you like it too, right?"
She raised her little face and asked him for confirmation.
He seemed to be at a loss for what to do with her. "Stop moving around. Close your eyes and go to sleep."
"Do you need my help?" she said coquettishly, hehe.
"No need, thank you. Don't bother, just take a rest."
She was wrapped in a thin sarong and twisting around him, which was really an unbearable torture for him.
At this moment, her body stiffened, and her face suddenly became painful, "hiss-"
Zhan Hengyi noticed something and asked, "What's wrong with you?"
"My stomach suddenly started to hurt."
In the blink of an eye, he saw a thin layer of sweat on her forehead.
"Are you here for that?" Zhan Hengyi frowned.
Nan Chengcheng shook his head, "No."
"I'll have the medic come in."
Nan Chengcheng shook her head. "I can feel it. It's not a real illness, but a false one. Someone is plotting against me." She lay next to him, tightly pressed against him, her voice weak. "Zhan Hengyi, promise me that you will always stay by my side and hold my hand. No, no..."
Don't leave, hold me..."
Before she could finish her words, she fainted.
