When Du Guixiang heard that Li Xiyue's younger sister was missing, she kindly ran upstairs and called her roommates to come down and look for her.

Li Wenbo also carried a flashlight as he walked, calling Li Yan's name. He and Li Xiyue took different side paths, one on the left and one on the right, to search for her.
Du Guixiang held a flashlight and shone it far into the distance, along the road and into the depths of the grove.
Suddenly, she saw a figure and shouted, "What's that? There's someone there!"
Upon hearing Du Guixiang's shout, the people in the distance scrambled to their feet and ran for their lives.
Du Guixiang hurriedly ran over and saw Mu Jiuchun and Li Yan lying on the ground, their clothes disheveled and barely covering their bodies.
Du Guixiang realized something was wrong and shouted, "Grab him! Grab the person in front, he's a thug!"
The nights in the late 1970s were very quiet, with very few cars, low visibility, and low noise.
