Chapter 68 The Buried Things

Li Yin hid around the corner of the wall, secretly watching Li Xiyue and Mu Cangnan.

She was so angry she wanted to tear Li Xiyue to shreds!

Mu Cangnan is the man she has had her eye on since childhood, so why should Li Xiyue compete with her for him!

She knew Mu Cangnan much earlier than Li Xiyue. Why shouldn't there be a first-come-first-served order?

What's most infuriating is that she finally managed to sneak over here, only to see Mu Cangnan leave. What did Mu Cangnan say to Li Xiyue? What did he do with Li Xiyue? She didn't see anything?

But why are both of their faces as red as tomatoes?

Even a fool could guess it.

But she instinctively rejected this speculation; just thinking about it made her teeter on the brink of collapse!

Just as she peeked out to watch Li Xiyue walk away, and she wanted to follow Li Xiyue, a gray parrot flew in from nowhere and its sharp claws scratched her head hard.

She could feel it without even looking; the parrot's claws had torn her scalp! And its wings were slapping her head hard!

She wanted to scream in pain, but dared not make a sound for fear that Li Xiyue would hear her. She could only cover her arm with her hand, but the parrot's sharp claws scratched her arm again.

And her newly changed clothes were torn!

She was so anxious that she cried, but the place was very secluded and there was no one passing by. She could only run towards the school to escape the parrot's attack.

But the parrot followed her all the way, scratching her scalp and body, leaving bloody welts all over her body.

It's like the parrot had a grudge against her from a past life!

She ran back to school in a disheveled state, shouting for help, "Help! Help!"

The old man guarding the gate saw a female student being scratched by a parrot, so he quickly grabbed a broom and ran out to drive the parrot away.

When Honey saw the broom swinging towards it, it flapped its wings and flew into the air, shouting, "Bad woman! Bad woman! Murderer! Murderer!"

Following its cry, the clear blue sky suddenly crackled with lightning, striking Li Yin directly.

Li Yin collapsed to the ground, convulsing all over, her back covered in black marks from the blow.

Students and teachers passing by the school all ran over to see what was going on.

Everyone listened in astonishment to the parrot's cries and the lightning that struck down from the sky.

The old gatekeeper, carrying a broom, said in surprise, "Who do we have here? It's her. This must be divine retribution!"

Tsk tsk! We don't laugh at natural disasters, we laugh at divine retribution! Everyone stay away, or you might get struck by lightning!

He immediately maintained order, preventing the students and teachers who rushed over from getting close to Li Yin.

Li Yin was knocked unconscious by lightning, but was awakened by the pain of the burns on her back. She struggled to open her eyes and looked at the teachers and students who had gathered around her.

She cried out for help in despair and helplessness, but no one came to her aid!

People were pointing and whispering among themselves.

"Even the heavens couldn't stand it anymore!"

"She still claims she's innocent, but I think she and her biological mother are definitely in cahoots!"

"Yes! Yes! Otherwise, why would lightning strike her on a sunny day, specifically targeting her!"

The old gatekeeper moved a small stool, took a handful of sunflower seeds, and sat down. He ate the seeds while watching, occasionally cheering for Li Yin and encouraging her to get up on her own.

"Girl, do you know why some salted fish flip up while others stick to the bottom of the pot? It's because they forgot to add oil! You need to add oil!"

Honeybee had already flown away; it was hiding in a big tree watching the gatekeeper's amazing feat.

Its little face twitched slightly. Sure enough, your grandpa is still your grandpa. When it comes to watching the show, if grandpa says he's second, no one dares to say he's first!

Li Xiyue watched Li Yin crawling on the ground on the large screen in the space and said to Mi Bao, "Don't let her die suddenly."

Honey said, "She's not dead yet, she's still breathing! How about we play one more time?"

Li Xiyue said, "Stop playing around. I'm afraid you'll be exposed and someone will arrest you. You should come back to your space quickly."

In this era, people's entertainment activities were extremely scarce, and television was not something every household could have. The sudden appearance of a talking parrot would definitely attract everyone's attention. She was afraid that someone would try to take Honeybee away.

Sure enough, as soon as Li Xiyue finished speaking, someone spotted Mi Bao hiding in the tree branch.

"Look up there! That talking parrot! Catch it!"

As someone raised their arm and shouted, several students ran toward the big tree where Mi Bao was standing.

Honey rolled her eyes. These people think they can catch it?

It stuck out its tail and pooped several times.

The few naughty boys who climbed up the tree were suddenly hit in the face with something wet, which almost made them vomit!

Ugh! That's a bit much, isn't it?!

Honey Baby opened the portal to the spatial passage and disappeared in a flash. Because it was small, and the portal itself was also small, it hid among the tree branches and was unseen by anyone.

Seeing that Mi Bao had returned, Li Xiyue was finally relieved. She said, "Try not to leave the space in the future. The news about the talking parrot will probably spread like wildfire in less than a day."

Mibao said, "It's okay, let them spread it. You can give me a different skin."

Li Xiyue said, "Other skins have four legs, but yours isn't healed yet."

Mi Bao said, "My leg is healed. You forgot that this is a special space, and the medicine here is dozens of times more effective than the medicine outside."

Li Xiyue was pleasantly surprised to hear Mi Bao's words, "How could I forget? The medicine here is dozens of times more effective than the medicine outside, haha, I'll take off your bandages right now!"
