Chen Yitang came out of the kitchen holding a bowl of rice and said, "When your grandmother was pregnant with your mother, she was very greedy. Grandpa learned to cook a lot of food. Tomorrow, grandpa will make two dishes for you."
"Thank you grandpa, you are so awesome." Kua Kua Goudan is online.
The adults all looked at Goudan and laughed out loud.
Perhaps it is because children are the hope of the future, and as long as they are laughing there will be constant joy.
"I'll go get a wheelchair tomorrow so Xiao Zhao can get out of bed and move around." Chen Yintang said while eating.
"Brother Jianguo, can we sit down in this condition?" Zeng Wenjuan asked, feeling that something was not right.
"Yes, his bones grow very fast. But not for too long. Sitting for a long time will affect the development of his thighs and bones. It's okay for him to eat three meals a day with us." Chen Yintang said to Zeng Wenjuan.
"That's good. It saves Brother Jianguo from being bored eating alone in the room." Zeng Wenjuan nodded.
Zeng Yike thought of what Zhao Jianguo had asked Zhao Lai next door that afternoon, so she said, "Nannan, who in your village did Zhao Jianguo ask if they wanted to recruit people? It couldn't be his brother, could it?"
"No, he's the youngest son of our village chief. He has always admired soldiers. Although the village chief uncle and aunt didn't tell me, I know they definitely want him to join the army." Zeng Wenjuan answered immediately after hearing this.
Zeng Yike nodded and said, "Well, although it's not our unit, it's a unit in the north that's recruiting artillerymen. If he's willing to go, I'll write him a letter of recommendation as a way of repaying their kindness to you."
"Really?! That's great. I'll call and ask tomorrow. The village chief and others are going to the commune for a meeting tomorrow." After Zeng Wenjuan got this done, she felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her chest.
...Night dividing line...
In the early morning, accompanied by the energetic calls of the troops and the cheers of birds, Zeng Wenjuan got up.
As soon as I opened my eyes, I met Zhao Jianguo's gaze, and the darkness seemed to be filled with stars.
"You woke up so early! Are you hungry? Let me cook for you!" Zeng Wenjuan said as she sat up.
"Mom, I'm hungry. I kept calling you but you didn't hear me. Dad said you were too tired during this period and told me not to disturb you, so I sat here and read a book obediently." Goudan said to Zeng Wenjuan while holding the picture book.
When Zeng Wenjuan heard the voice, she noticed Goudan, who was sitting on the right side of Zhao Jianguo. He looked aggrieved and said with one hand covering his stomach.
"Oh, baby, you've worked hard. Mommy will make a cup of milk powder for Goudan to fill his stomach and then go to cook." Zeng Wenjuan lifted the quilt and put on her coat, then walked to the table and mixed a cup of milk powder with hot water.
"Drink it! Mommy will make breakfast for you now. Do you want noodles or porridge in the morning?" Zeng Wenjuan handed the milk powder at just the right temperature to Goudan and said.
"I want porridge with a salty egg." Goudan took a sip of the prepared milk powder and grew a circle of white beard.
"Okay, you want to eat salted duck eggs, right? Then I'll go make breakfast now." Zeng Wenjuan combed her hair and went to the kitchen.
Just after I measured the rice, washed it and put it in the pot, I heard a knock on the door: "Open the door! Nannan, it's Daddy."
When Zeng Wenjuan heard Chen Yitang's voice, she immediately ran to open the door. As soon as she opened the door, she saw a wheelchair at the door and Chen Yitang holding several lunch boxes in his hands.
"Dad, you're here."
"You haven't eaten yet! We passed by a wonton shop today, and the wontons here are so delicious, just like the ones I ate when I was a child. I packed a few portions for you to share later." Chen Yintang said excitedly.
"Not yet! You came over just when I was about to cook. You got up too early! Why don't you sleep a little longer?" Zeng Wenjuan said with concern.
"Dad is old and can't sleep! So I thought of getting up early and buying a wheelchair. I happened to pass by this breakfast shop, so I went in to have a meal. It still tasted the same as when I was a child. Where's Goudan? I haven't seen him for so long since I came in." Chen Yintang said happily. He has been in high spirits since he found his daughter.
"Goudan just made a cup of milk powder for him to drink. He must be still drinking it now! He must be hungry so early in the morning. I'll go call him." Zeng Wenjuan said as she took the lunch box from Chen Yintang's hand.
The two of them entered the house together and came to the master bedroom, where they saw Goudan drinking milk powder "ton ton ton".
"Grandpa, do you want to eat the wontons you bought? Or do you want porridge and salted duck eggs?" Zeng Wenjuan asked, leaning against the door frame.
"I want to eat them all. I'm so hungry!" Goudan said, holding his stomach.
"Okay, you eat the wontons first! I'll go cook porridge. Don't let our dog Goudan starve." Zeng Wenjuan said with a smile.
After Goudan finished drinking the milk powder, he took the cup and walked out. When he saw Chen Yitang, he called him, "Grandpa."
"Hey! Goudan, come here quickly and eat the wontons! The taste of these wontons is very different. They were branded by the emperor in the past." Chen Yintang said with a smile.
Goudan nodded obediently: "Okay, Grandpa, I just drank the milk powder, I have to go wash the cup before I can come over to eat."
"Goudan is so well behaved." Chen Yintang did not stop Goudan. Only when children participate in labor can they regard themselves as a member of the family instead of always regarding themselves as a child who needs care.
Goudan went into the kitchen, took a ladle and scooped up half a spoonful of water to rinse the cup. Then he went out and sat drunk at the dining table. Chen Yitang put the wontons in front of Goudan.
"Eat quickly, or it won't taste good if it gets cold." Chen Yintang said with a smile.
Zeng Wenjuan went into the kitchen and started cooking breakfast. She put the rice into a pot with cold water and simmered it on low heat. When it was half cooked, she put it in a large pot and started steaming it in the small pot.
Goudan had said before that he wanted to eat porridge, so Zeng Wenjuan left some more rice in the pot and let it continue to cook. After the rice was cooked and gradually became thick, it took more than an hour, but breakfast was finally ready.
"Just now I saw the wontons being heated in hot water. I don't know if they are delicious or not. You can try it and see if it tastes okay?" Chen Yintang said as he took the lunch box out of the water.
Zeng Wenjuan opened the lunch box and started eating: "The taste is very good. Although it is not as good as freshly cooked, it is still very good."
"Mom, I'm still not full. I want to eat porridge. Is it ready?" Goudan asked, pulling Zeng Wenjuan's hand.
"Okay, okay, I'll go get you a bowl now. You still want salted duck eggs, right?" Zeng Wenjuan said with a smile. She didn't know why the child's appetite suddenly became so big.
