Chapter 120 Danger (1/2)

Chapter 120 Danger

"Teacher Lian, why aren't you going home yet?" A female teacher came in from outside. She taught third grade Chinese and Lian Yuqing had helped to cover for her.

Lian Yuqing took his eyes off the lesson plan and looked up, "Well, we'll go later."

The female teacher took her things and left.

Ten minutes later, Lian Yuqing looked up at the wall clock and realized that it was almost half an hour since get off work ended.

There was a student who was still in the classroom correcting wrong answers. His head teacher was supposed to stay behind to look after him, but something urgent happened at home, so he asked Lian Yuqing to do the job.

It's because she has no children and her husband doesn't go home.

She packed her things and walked towards the classroom. It was getting late, and she had to send her child home even if she hadn't finished correcting the papers. She herself wanted to go home early. Tomorrow was the weekend, so she could sleep in.

"Wang Shuai, have you finished grading the test papers?" Lian Yuqing stood at the door of the classroom and poked his head inside.

Ask Wang Shuai, a student, to sit in the second to last row, on the right. He is scratching his head and one can tell with one's toes that he has not yet finished changing.

"Teacher Lian, it's too... too difficult." He said with a sad face.

Lian Yuqing walked in and picked up the paper with almost no blank space on it. Even after the revisions, there were still mistakes.

Wang Shuai is a famous student in the school because he failed three grades and has not graduated yet.

After interacting with him, I found that it was not that the child did not want to learn, but that he really could not learn.

Lian Yuqing didn't say anything to him, but folded the test paper and put it into his schoolbag. "It's late, go home first, or your parents will worry."

Wang Shuai lowered his head and stuffed all the books in the drawer into his schoolbag, saying sullenly, "They don't worry about me. They will beat me again if they see the test paper."

Lian Yuqing didn't know what to say, because beating children was too common in that era. The Chinese believed in educating children through beating, and 99% of children had been beaten.

When the classroom door was closed, Wang Shuai said in frustration: "Teacher Lian, I'm such a fool, is there anyone who likes me?"

"Why do you think so?" She bent down and looked at the child. "You are so long, and you don't just need to study one thing. You can do anything. Besides, I heard from your classmates that you are very good at running. Maybe you can win glory for the country in the future."

Wang Shuai was held back three grades and already had the mindset of a junior high school kid. He felt that even the teacher couldn’t comfort him.

Lian Yuqing wanted to send her child home, but Wang Shuai said that his home was right next to the school and there was no need to send him home, so she rode her bike in the opposite direction.

She was particularly unlucky. The tire burst halfway through the ride. She was impatient and held the bike as she struggled to move forward.

Suddenly, he felt a chill on his back. Lian Yuqing turned around and saw a man standing ten meters away.

Seeing that he turned around, the man said: "Your car has a flat tire, why don't you help me to the front and I will fix it for you."

Lian Yuqing squinted at him. He had a square face, thick eyebrows and big eyes. He was a tall man with a big backpack on his right shoulder. "No need. My home is not far from here. I'll be there soon."

The man didn't force it. "That's fine. My house is in this direction. You can call me if you need me."

He walked up quickly and stood side by side with Lian Yuqing. They were three or four meters apart, which was a polite distance. She relaxed her guard a little.

After walking for about five minutes, the shoelaces loosened. Lian Yuqing squatted down to tie the shoelaces. Inadvertently, he noticed a hole on the man's lower back, revealing the sharp part of the knife.

My scalp exploded with horror. Who would carry a knife with them?

"Comrade, you're not feeling well, are you?"

Her heart trembled, and she pretended to be calm, "No, my shoelaces are loose, I tied them up."
