Chapter 14 Departure
I didn't have time to scold him because bird eggs tasted really good, more tender than chicken eggs, and because they were roasted, they were very fragrant.
"Where did these bird eggs come from?" Lian Yuqing asked casually.
"I took it out from the tree when I was chopping wood."
Lian Yuqing didn't say anything. Before leaving, he was considerate enough to help chop firewood for the family. Wei Dong was extremely kind to his father. Wei Dong peeled the eggs more slowly.

When Chen Caiqi entered the room, she found the three children eating leisurely, as if they were not in a hurry at all. "Dongzi, have you packed your things?"

"We were about to leave today but I still climbed the tree. I ended up tearing my clothes and pants. It's not worth it." As she said this, her little daughter stuffed a bird's egg into her mouth. It smelled really good, and she was too embarrassed to say anything else.
When Wei Chun was born, Wei Dong had only the last egg left in his hand. Lian Yuqing was eating it and hurriedly said, "The last one is mine."

"Are you going to leave or not?" Lian Yuqing got on the donkey cart and shouted to Wei Dong.
