Chapter 14 Departure (2/2)

He jumped onto the donkey cart easily, and the driver shouted, "Hold on tight, let's go!"

The simple and honest Wei family was left behind until they were out of sight.

Wei Dong sat opposite Lian Yuqing, his back straight, legs apart, hands on his knees, staring at someone who was lazily leaning against the opposite side, and asked: "Why didn't you tell me directly?"

"Isn't it just that you're using the money to honor your dad? Remember, this is my breakup fee, it's my money."

The hands on his knees clenched tightly. After a while, Wei Dong said, "I will give you ten yuan every month from now on."

Oh, the salary has actually increased? Lian Yuqing sat up with his body tilted, and became more excited, "Are you touched by me?"

"You are my wife, it is your responsibility to support the family."

"Oh." Lian Yuqing curled his lips, bored.

Lian Yuqing still hated the donkey cart as always. It shook her butt so much that it almost broke. As soon as she got off the cart, she quickly found a place to vomit.

Wei Dong got a bottle of water from somewhere for her to rinse her mouth and also helped her pat her back.

They should have rushed to the station immediately to buy tickets and take the bus, but seeing her pale face and red eyes, Wei Dong said nothing and let her rest for another ten minutes.

But these ten minutes were of no use. When they heard that they had to take the bus, Lian Yuqing had a sullen look on their faces, but they did not lose their temper and followed him to the bus station obediently.

The car had already started. When the two of them were rushing, the car had just opened to the door. Wei Dong knocked on the door and the driver opened it.

The conductor said impatiently, "Hurry up and don't waste everyone's time."

When Lian Yuqing came up, she glared at the conductor, who could not stand it, but the man next to her was tall and in military uniform, and he looked like someone who was not someone to be trifled with, so she had to endure it.

There were only two seats left in the last row of the bus. Lian Yuqing just wanted to sit down quickly and walked to the back, but was stopped. "What are you doing?"

Wei Dong did not explain, but asked the two young men in front if they were willing to change positions.

Lian Yuqing noticed that the two men looked at her, so she stood up to change clothes and walked behind them. Wei Dong and the others thanked her.

Sitting down by the window, Lian Yuqing poked his thigh and said, "Do you think I'm carsick?"

"Isn't it?" He was vomiting loudly while leaning against a tree just now.

"I was thrown upside down, but I'm not carsick."

Wei Dong remained silent. It seemed that he was just being too sentimental.

Lian Yuqing hooked her fingers at him. Wei Dong pretended to move closer. She hooked her fingers around his neck and whispered in his ear, "Thank you."

Soon she let go of his hand, leaned against the window and closed her eyes.

Wei Dong's ears turned red, especially the one she was touching.

The soft sound seemed to scratch his earlobes like a feather, and that familiar scent had never been so clear before. It was itchy, and it seemed to be a different feeling that he couldn't describe.

The bus drove for two hours. Due to the brakes, Lian and Qing's heads almost hit the railing in front of them. They were protected by Wei Dong and did not get a bloody head.

She simply leaned on his shoulder and continued to sleep.

Half of Wei Dong's body was frozen, and he didn't dare to move at all.

When the driver called for the next stop, Lian Yuqing woke up slowly. She felt much better after a good sleep. She patted the sturdy arm of the person next to her and said, "Thanks, brother."

Wei Dong moved his stiff arms. Did she treat him as a brother and sleep on his shoulder without any scruples?

It would take some time before we arrived at the train station. Chen Caiqi had prepared some dry food in her bag. This train would take two days, so it would be quite a ride.
