Lian Yuqing wasn't that angry. She had been patiently coaxing you for a long time. Besides, it was so tiring to keep a stern face. She rubbed her cheek against his neck, and the biscuit crumbs at the corners of her mouth fell on his clothes. She didn't tell him out of spite.
"My gift must be unique, not something you can buy."
"You say." Wei Dong held her back on the sofa and helped her tuck her messy hair behind her ears.
"The port city is close to the sea, so I want... shells. You pick up shells on the beach and make them into wind chimes for me. The shells must be of different colors and shapes, and each one must be unique. When I see it, it can't be a pile of shells, but a string of beautiful wind chimes."
Wei Dong watched her make requests bit by bit with a smile in his eyes. She was very serious, as if she was assigning homework to a student. She looked cute and naive.
He also didn't understand why he thought she was acting pretentious just a moment ago, since she was obviously the cutest girl in the world.
Lian Yuqing tapped his forehead in dissatisfaction, "Why are you daydreaming? Did you hear what I just said?"
Wei Dong took her hand away and said, "Remember, if there is anything different, you will punish me."
"Tsk, what's the punishment for you? I'm going to make you take off all your clothes and run around the field!"
Wei Dong bit her nose lightly and whispered in her ear with a magnetic voice: "Little rascal."
We can't delay any longer, otherwise we will miss the train.
Wei Dong picked up the backpack. Lian Yuqing looked at him incredulously: "You only carry such a small bag after a month?"
"Yeah." In her bag was a set of spare clothes, a military magazine, and an orchid handkerchief that belonged to Lian Yuqing. She had a lot of clothes and jewelry, so she put this handkerchief in a corner after using it a few times.
Wei Dong kept it with him, and whenever he missed her, he would take it out to look at it and smell it.
He packed the things himself, and Lian Yuqing didn't know about it, otherwise she would have called him a pervert.
A grown man like him, yet he went on a long journey without bringing anything with him. Lian Yuqing felt guilty and rummaged through the cupboard to find a bunch of snacks and stuffed them into his backpack.
"I guess you'll just eat a few steamed buns. I'll give you my biscuits and bread. They're better than your hard and tasteless steamed buns."
Wei Dong was thinking about something when she pulled him out of the door by his arm. "Hurry up, or you'll miss the train if you dawdle any longer."
When going down the stairs, Lian Yuqing was still muttering: "You are a grown man, why are you so hesitant?"
Wei Dong was helpless: I'm not being hesitant, it's obvious that I just can't bear to leave her.
Qian Liang drove Wei Dong to the train station. Lian Yuqing opened the door and prepared to get out together, but Wei Dong held her back and said, "Don't get out. Go home and get some sleep."
"Are you sure you don't want me to go to the train station?"
Wei Dong shook his head. He was afraid that if Lian and Qing were together, he would not be able to resist and take the person away with him.
Qian Liang sat quietly in the car, and if he dared to disturb the battalion commander and his wife talking, he would start to walk ten kilometers on his back.
Wei Dong was worried about her, so he gently reminded her, "You can eat in the cafeteria, at Cai Guifen's, or at Old Meng's. I've already told them, and I'll pay for their meals when I get back."
"Close the doors and windows at home. If you need help, just shout and everyone will help."
"Don't hold it in if you've been wronged. Go find Lao Meng. Don't go on your own as you'll get hurt easily. Or just bear with it. I'll support you when I come back..."
Lian Yuqing became impatient. She was probably in elementary school or kindergarten.
She simply stretched out her hand and twisted it hard. Wei Dong's face changed, "You..."
