Chapter 19 Must Sleep Together
Wei Dong and Lian Yuqing sat on the sofa. Xiao Weiwei brought them candies and biscuits and piled them in front of Lian Yuqing. "Sister-in-law, watch TV. Watch whatever you like."
Lian Yuqing didn't answer and said lightly, "I don't like watching TV."
The rejection was particularly obvious. Wei Wei was embarrassed and whispered to Wei Dong: "Brother Wei, does my sister-in-law dislike me?"
Wei Dong looked at the person beside him silently, "No."
Lian Yuqing crossed his arms and said, "Yes."
"What are you still chatting about? Come and eat!" Xu Xu, wearing an apron and holding a bowl and chopsticks, shouted outside, and the awkward atmosphere disappeared instantly.
Xu raised his glass and said, "Come on, this first glass is for you and your sister-in-law."
Lian Yuqing didn't drink alcohol, but drank tea instead. He and Wei Dong raised their cups and drank at the same time, which showed a tacit understanding between husband and wife.
"It's all Dongzi's fault. He didn't tell anyone that he got married, and he even hid it from me, his good brother. Dongzi, you should drink three cups as a punishment!" Although Xu's mouth was full of blame, there was a smile on his face.
Wei Dong drank three cups of wine without hesitation and wiped his mouth casually.

Xiao Weiwei pushed the plate of brightly colored braised pork in front of Wei Dong and said, "Brother Wei, try it quickly. Is it delicious?"
Wei Dong picked up a piece and said, "Not bad."
A satisfied smile immediately spread across Weiwei's pretty face. "It's not good enough. The meat is too mushy after stewing it for too long."
Wei Dong and Xi Xu were good brothers. They were so busy drinking and chatting that they didn't eat much of the food. Lian Yuqing didn't pay any attention to them at all. No matter how difficult Xi Weiwei was, the food on the table was very much to her taste.
The Wei family is hardworking and simple, but it is undeniable that they don't have any great food.
Today's meal was the best meal Lian and Qing had ever had since they transmigrated into the book. It was a bit sad to say the least.
She concentrated on eating, picking up dishes and eating them quickly without chewing slowly, but she didn't feel rude at all. From time to time, she would poke Wei Dong next to her and ask him to get a piece of paper.
These actions were seen by the brothers and sisters of the Xi family. Xi Weiwei's eyes were filled with gloom, but Xi Xu was happy for his good brother from the bottom of his heart.
"Sister-in-law, how did you and Brother Wei know each other? At that time, Brother Wei was like ice. Girls would respond to him when they talked to him. We were all very curious about whether he would get married."
How can I get to know you? You have to get to know me unwillingly.
Lian Yuqing was in no mood to engage in a verbal battle with Qi Weiwei. If Qi Weiwei was destined to be Wei Dong's wife, she should not make things too embarrassing and just think of it as a way of repaying his kindness in providing her with food and lodging.

Xu Xu was incredulous, "So you two had never met before you got married?"
"I saw it when I was a kid."
Xu still couldn't believe that Wei Dong would obey his family's arrangement of finding a wife. Maybe he had already fallen in love with her, after all, his sister-in-law was so beautiful.
Xiao Weiwei had mixed feelings, she had liked Big Brother Wei for so long, but it turned out that it was not as good as her parents' orders and the matchmaker's words. If she had known earlier... if she had known earlier, she would have asked her brother to tell Big Brother Wei, maybe the person he would marry would be her.

Wei Dong: “Yeah.”
The couple's interaction made the atmosphere less tense.
