Chapter 35 Staring at Her (1/2)

Chapter 35 Staring at Her

Lian Yuqing was a pampered person and disliked having her hands covered with medicine every time, so she gave the job of applying medicine to Wei Dong.

The wound was on her neck, in an ambiguous location, but she had no sense of shame at all and thought that Wei Dong deserved it.

Cheng Weiwei was immersed in the joy of Wei Dong's divorce, but a few days later, people in the family compound said that the two had reconciled.

She didn't give up and went to his house. As soon as she entered, she saw Wei Dong wearing an apron with sweat on his forehead. It was obvious that he was cooking, so she hurried to open the door.

As for Lian Yuqing, they were squatting on a chair barefoot eating popsicles. When they heard the noise, they tilted their heads to look, then continued eating as if nothing had happened, as if they hadn't seen her.

"Is there something?" Wei Dong asked in a hurried tone. There were still dishes in the pot.

Cheng Weiwei's smile was very forced, and she squeezed out a few words from between her teeth, "My brother asked me to ask if you want to go home for dinner. He bought some vegetables."

"No need." Wei Dong flatly refused.

"Wei Dong, I think I smell something burnt." Lian Yuqing shouted towards them. The food in the pot couldn't wait any longer, so Wei Dong left Cheng Weiwei and ran into the kitchen.

Lian Yuqing ignored her. Cheng Weiwei was completely left alone and felt really awkward. After waiting for a long time and seeing Wei Dong still didn't come, she had no choice but to leave.

Cheng Xu was eaten halfway when he was taken away. He hurriedly got dressed and told her to leave the leftovers and eat them when he got home.

After a while, Liu Cuiying knocked on the door. When she opened it, she saw two little ones following her, staring at her with their big round eyes. Cheng Weiwei glanced at their ripped collars and frayed sleeves, and a trace of disgust flashed across her eyes.

"What are you doing here?" His tone was filled with disdain and arrogance.

With a sallow and thin face and unusually prominent cheekbones, Liu Cuiying pursed her dry and flaky lips and raised a bunch of lush green vegetables with wet soil on the leaves. "The vegetables are growing here. I'll send you some. It's good to eat them now, but they'll be old in a few days."

What did it think it was? Just a worthless vegetable leaf. Cheng Weiwei raised her eyelids nonchalantly but did not reach out to take it.

Liu Cuiying didn't feel embarrassed at all. "I'll take it in for you and wash it for you later. You can just fry it directly."

After waiting for a while, Cheng Weiwei stepped back and said calmly, "Come in."

Her belly was so round that it looked like she was holding a big watermelon, but Liu Cuiying walked very fast. She knew the layout of the Cheng family very well. The two sloppy girls behind her stood awkwardly at the door.

"Oh, it's time for dinner. Captain Cheng is very generous. He gives us two meat dishes for one meal." He stared at the meat on the plate and swallowed his saliva while speaking. Cheng Weiwei could even hear the sound of him swallowing.

The two children stood at the door, staring blankly at the food. Liu Cuiying suddenly changed her expression and yelled, "You two debt collectors! You come to someone else's house and stare at the food. Didn't I give you any food?"

Cheng Weiwei frowned inadvertently, and Liu Cuiying continued, "Don't be angry, Teacher Cheng. I had a fight with that vixen named Lian a while ago, and the kid's father was mad at me and refused to pay me. I haven't had sex for a long time."

Although he disliked Liu Cuiying, he felt relieved when he thought of the three long scratches she had left on Lian Yuqing. He said compassionately, "Stop pretending. Eat. I'm not a stingy person."

Liu Cuiying was very grateful: "Teacher Xiao Cheng is so kind-hearted." As she said that, she immediately pulled over the nearest chair and sat down. The two children also came into the room, took off their tattered sandals, and left black footprints on the ground.

Cheng Weiwei originally wanted to hear Liu Cuiying talk about the details of the fight that day, but she inadvertently saw the way the mother and her two daughters ate. They were like beggars who had never eaten. Liu Cuiying ate from the bowl of rice while picking at the meat and vegetables with chopsticks.
