Chapter 8: Old Lover (1/2)

Chapter 8: Old Lover

Lian Yuqing couldn't hear what others said, but she regretted it as soon as she got on the bus. She could take a ride when she went there, but what would she do when she came back? She had to walk dozens of miles of mountain road in her small leather shoes and take her to have her limb amputated.

In fact, the donkey cart was not comfortable to ride. The mountain road was rugged and the cart was shaking all the way. Even Yu Qing's butt was almost broken into pieces. When she arrived in the town, she jumped off the cart as if her butt was on fire.

I asked someone, found the post office, and picked up a package.

There was a letter inside, written by a man named Sha Junping and sent from the capital.

When they opened the letter, Lian Yuqing's face turned green. Judging from the content of the letter, Sha Junping should be Qianshen's lover. Even though Qianshen got married, their relationship was still going strong.

What Lian Yuqing found disgusting was that between the lines were Sha Junping's greasy love words, and he didn't think about how to help his wife solve the dilemma at all.

She became even angrier when she opened the package. There was not a penny, not a single ticket, just a skirt and a can of candy. She was the "only muse" in Sha Junping's heart.

After leaving the post office, Lian Yuqing crumpled up the letter and threw it into the trash can. As for the things wrapped in the package, she kept it because she was poor now.

I had no money and was in no mood to wander around, so I walked towards home with Qing, hoping to meet someone who would give her a ride on the way.

Not long after Lian Yuqing left, a sneaky person ran over and started rummaging through the trash can. This person was He Xiaoshan. She and Lian Yuqing were sitting in a car and she deliberately avoided Lian Yuqing so that he wouldn't notice her.

Following her to the post office, until she found the letter, He Xiaoshan smiled sinisterly. "I knew you were such a disrespectful bitch, Brother Dongzi would never let you go."

When people are unlucky, even drinking cold water will get stuck in their teeth. They come to the post office with great expectations, expecting someone to send them money, but in the end they are disgusted by the scumbag and now they don’t even have a car.

Lian Yuqing was wondering whether to pawn the skirt that wrapped her body and stay in a small hotel for a night. The marriage partner wanted to see a letter of introduction.

She sat on the curb dejectedly, not at all concerned about the well-tailored dress she was wearing.

When other people traveled through time, they either made a good living on their own or their husbands didn't give them a hundred or eighty yuan. But she met a stingy man. It's been so many days, and except for buying a wooden barrel, he didn't give her a penny. What kind of a crappy male protagonist is Wei Dong?

"Ding-ling-ling..." The crisp sound of a bicycle bell came to her ears. Lian Yuqing was feeling annoyed at the moment and wanted to go away so as not to disturb her depression.

A pair of black boots appeared on the ground, they were very big. Looking up along the legs, wasn't this the bastard she had cursed?

Lian Yuqing's eyes lit up instantly, "Are you here to pick me up?"

Her long curly hair was half tied up, and when her pretty face was raised, it lit up the whole world. She was sitting on the roadside in an exquisite skirt. If he didn't come, she would be harassed sooner or later.

His expression changed quickly. Wei Dong paused and said, "I'm just passing by."

Lian Yuqing had already stood up and grabbed his arm, "Then take me home."

As if he had forgotten the cold face of the past two days, and even didn't let him sleep on the bed, so he had to sleep on the floor. Wei Dong said: "Can I sleep on the bed tonight?"

She smiled and said, "Yes, yes, of course."

"Get in the car."

Lian Yuqing hung the package on the handlebars, then sat on the back of the bicycle and put her arms around his waist very naturally.

The car started moving. Wei Dong looked at the shaking package and asked casually, "What is this?"

"Oh, an old friend sent it to me."

Wei Dong stopped talking.

After being tired for an entire afternoon, Lian Yuqing actually fell asleep on his broad back, with the arms that were around him hanging loosely.
