Chapter 83 Mother-in-law is coming

The train station was crowded. Wei Miaomiao and Chen Caiqi were guarding their luggage tightly. Chen Caiqi frowned and asked, "Where is your brother?"

Wei Miaomiao stretched her neck and looked to the left. "I didn't see it. Mom, let's go out first."

As soon as the two of them left the station, Wei Miaomiao looked at the man in front of her with great joy: "Brother!"

The handsome man in a black sweater took the luggage from his mother and sister and said, "Mom, Miaomiao, are you tired?"

ã±—After staying on the train for dozens of hours, Chen Caiqi's face, full of fine lines, looked even more haggard and vicissitudes of life, and the young Wei Miaomiao also had a dark spot under his eyes.

"It doesn't matter. This is much easier than working in the fields. I can sit in the car and do nothing. Why would I feel tired?"

Wei Dong led them into the car. It was the first time for both of them to ride in a car. This rare and expensive thing they had only seen when they went to the city. Wei Dong helped them open the car door.

Unlike Wei Miaomiao's curiosity about the car, Chen Caiqi held the front seat tightly with both hands, leaned forward and asked his son: "How have you been getting along with Qing'er in the past few months with the army? Have you often quarreled?"

His index finger tapped rhythmically on the steering wheel. Wei Dong glanced at the rearview mirror beside him and said slowly, "We've never had a fight."

Anyone who hears this will have to praise him: You can tell lies just like that!

"She used to be pretty good here, tutoring the instructor's son in English to earn money. Now she's a primary school teacher, earning 18 yuan a month."

Hearing this, Chen Caiqi almost cried for joy, and she wanted to go back to the village immediately to tell those gossipers that her daughter-in-law was not a troublemaker at all, but a high-paid woman who earned more than many men.

Wei Miaomiao also lay on the seat in front of her, looking envious: "Sister-in-law is so awesome!"

The car entered the military unit unimpeded. Wei Dong sent the two of them to the gate of the family compound and asked them to get off first while he went to return the car.

Chen Caiqi and Wei Miaomiao were standing at the door. Someone saw them getting out of Wei Dong's car and asked, "Are you family members of Wei Ying?"

Chen Caiqi: "I'm his mother, this is his younger sister."

The man looked at Wei Miaomiao and said with a smile: "Captain Wei is a handsome man, and his sister is pretty too. Just looking at her makes me feel itchy."

Wei Miaomiao had never been praised like this before. Her face turned red all the way to her neck and she lowered her head shyly.

Good-natured Wei Dong came, interrupted their conversation, and took them upstairs.

The door opened and Wei Dong let them in. Chen Caiqi then began to look around her son's residence. Her first reaction was: it was a nice house, square and spacious.

Chen Caiqi took off her shoes and said, "Dongzi, your leader treats you well, and the house you were given is good."

This is undeniable. Even a three-bedroom, one-living-room house can have good or bad orientations. His house faces north and south, so when the sun rises in the morning, sunlight shines in. "Well, my boss is very good to me."

"We must not be ungrateful. You should work hard and don't let down the trust of your leader."

Wei Miaomiao sat on the sofa, not daring to move at all, for fear of damaging the expensive-looking sofa under her butt.

Based on Chen Caiqi's understanding of her son, he would not buy many of the things in this house. Before coming, her husband had advised her not to be too controlling of young people. Chen Caiqi knew that, and now she only hoped that her son and daughter-in-law were well and that the family would be harmonious and happy.

Wei Dong poured them some water and brought some sweets and cakes to fill their stomachs, then went into the kitchen to cook noodles.

When Lian Yuqing went downstairs, someone told her that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law were here. She nodded and locked the car. Jiang Min asked her if she wanted to come to her house for dinner. They came in a hurry and there was an aunt at home who could cook faster.
