Chapter 9 Nine-Tube Star Sleep, he looks even cooler when he cries.

Chapter 9 Nine-Tube Star Sleep, he looks even cooler when he cries.

"It doesn't hurt."

The boy gazed at her focused expression, moved his lips slightly, and asked her in his heart: Why are you so good to me?

Xu Zhiyu squatted down, concentrating intently, and instinctively felt as if he hadn't heard what the other person had said.

"What? What did you just ask me?"

The boy was taken aback. Could it be that she had heard the question he had just asked in his mind?

This is, of course, just a coincidence.

"I didn't say anything just now." He lowered his eyelids as coldly and listlessly as usual, but the girl's warm palm pressed against his wrist, making a vibrant red bud beneath his stagnant exterior restless.

She carefully wiped the wound, pouting slightly as she blew cool air onto it. The wound wasn't very long, but it was quite wide, and blood kept seeping out from the cut.

"Bandaging it in the summer might cause it to become infected, so just leave it open and be careful not to get it wet."

A cool breeze blew onto his forearm. Listening to the instructions, he remained silent, thinking that if she would come so close to disinfect his wounds when he was injured, then he would get injured a few more times.

"Okay! All done!" She squatted down below, looked up and smiled, "You're so amazing, didn't it really hurt? You didn't make a sound while you were doing it."

Her smile rippled in the boy's eyes. "It doesn't hurt."

"Let's go upstairs first. Dinner has been delivered for a while now. I'll heat it up for you before you eat."

"good."

Looking up at the digital clock, Xu Zhiyu quickened her pace, remembering she would have to come down to clean up the coffee stains later.

The boy watched her hurried figure as she came and went, but did not follow her upstairs.

He put his backpack down in the corner of the floor behind the cashier, and then tidied up the medicine box and trash tissues that Mr. Xu had just used.

He had just seen her take it out through a small door behind the shelf. Now, carrying the packed first-aid kit, he groped his way into the warehouse and put it in an open drawer. After looking around the warehouse, he found another small door near the window, leading to the restroom. He took down a pair of rubber gloves, a mop, and a rag hanging on the wall.

It was right after school, and many students were shopping in the supermarket. When they reached the end of the corridor, they all frowned and walked around a pool of unidentified dark liquid. There were some ceramic shards scattered on the ground.

Xu Zhiyu put the plate into the microwave to heat it up, then leaned on the railing and busily emphasized to the customers in the store to be careful.

She couldn't go downstairs yet because she still needed to heat up two side dishes, and because of what had just happened, she secretly wanted to make the kid some ice cream as compensation.

Too busy to keep up, she turned her head and looked at the two young masters at the table. She thought about asking them to help watch the guests. She was about to call Li Jiajing, but after hesitating, she called Zhang Zhi instead.

"Zhang Zhi, could you please keep an eye on the guests here for me? It's nothing urgent, just worried they might accidentally step on the broken pieces. I'll heat up the food quickly before going down to get it ready, in case the child gets hungry."

"Oh, okay, it's nothing. You go ahead and do your work. I'll sit by the railing."

After saying that, he picked up his coffee and moved to the side, looking at his good friend with a questioning gaze, asking if he wanted to sit down too.

Li Jiajing sat in the corner, his face gloomy and depressed. He shook his head slightly.

Zhang Zhi was helpless and had no choice but to let him suffer.

Looking down, as someone walked in, he would shout, "Watch out for the ceramic shards on the ground!"

He only called out less than three times before he fell silent, because he realized he no longer needed to remind the customers. The high school student below had picked up all the scattered pieces and thrown them into the trash can, and had also carefully cleaned up the stains.

Unable to resist turning to look at her friend by the window again, Zhang Zhi pursed her lips and shook her head, almost blurting out a sarcastic remark.

That's the difference!

He's even chasing girls.

Mr. Xu is so busy, and this dog Li Jia is so clueless, not even bothering to help. He made a mess of his own business and now a high school student has to clean up his mess! Idiot! He deserves to be single. He wasted my time, I came all the way from his hometown just to see who his sweetheart is, causing our young master Li so much distress. Turns out it's all because he's useless!

He even asked me to help him see if the girl had feelings for him, which was absolutely outrageous.

If it weren't for Mr. Xu, the person in question, being there, he would have given him a few sharp words; I couldn't stand it.

Zhang Zhi glanced at the diligent boy downstairs, then at his friend, took a deep breath, and felt a thousand times disappointed in him.

After Ah Yu finished her work and went downstairs to call the boy for dinner, he had just finished rinsing the mop, put all the cleaning tools back in their original places, and meticulously cleaned up the dirty area downstairs.

The boy was still washing his hands in the warehouse restroom. After Ah Yu went downstairs, she searched behind several shelves, but only saw familiar customers she had greeted. She couldn't find anyone else. However, the stains on the floor had inexplicably disappeared. She pulled out two tissues to wipe the sweat from her forehead and put her hands on her hips in surprise.

"Strange, where are they?"

Then the boy came out of the warehouse, his light-colored jeans turning dark at the hem.

She couldn't help but raise her eyebrows: "Did you clean this up?"

"I don't know." He playfully turned away, avoiding direct confrontation, and went straight upstairs. "Maybe it cleaned itself."

"Pfft." Ah Yu followed him upstairs and caught a glimpse of the boy's red ears, secretly delighted.

But then she remembered something, grabbed his hand, and frowned with worry: "Let me check the wound. Didn't I just tell you not to get it wet?"

A soft, smooth little hand grasped his, and the boy felt as if an electric current had shot through his palm, numbing his entire arm. He instinctively pulled away quickly, his steps faltering as he hurried upstairs, saying in a flustered manner:

"I didn't get any on the wound, I ate, I'm so hungry."

The two went upstairs one after the other. Boss Xu was always smiling. Zhang Zhi had seen all of their actions and conversations.

An involuntary maternal smile crept across his face as he slowly moved to Li Jiajing's side and whispered in his ear, "Boss Xu and that high school student, they're so sweet! It's melting my heart. What are you going to do, Li Jiajing, you old man..."

Adding the interjection "oh" to their speech is a common dialect in Mushui City, and Zhang Zhi deliberately imitated Mushui City's speaking habits to add fuel to the fire.

"What does this look like?" Li Jiajing clasped his hands together, making a circle with his fingers, and asked him in a serious tone.

Zhang Zhi asked in confusion, "What does it look like?"

Li Jiajing: "It looks like I'm going to strangle you."

Zhang Zhi: "Hahahaha, this is hilarious..."

Li Jiajing couldn't laugh at all; he was even more annoyed. He turned his face to the side, his anger obvious. If Zhang Zhi said another word, he was sure he would suffer the consequences!

Knowing his brother well, he naturally understood the jokes he was making, but...

Not far away, the boy who always had a sour face and easily won Mr. Xu's favor was carrying a tray in both hands, walking straight toward the two of them. His aura and expression... was he going to fight?

Zhang Zhi felt uneasy yet full of anticipation: Could it be... that they were going to put the plate on Li Jiajing's head?

Both of them became wary. Li Jiajing rubbed his hands together, ready to fight. Perfect timing! He had been annoyed ever since this kid entered the store, and he had nowhere to vent his grievances. Since this kid wanted to make the first move, then he shouldn't blame his older brother for bullying the younger one!

The boy approached, licked his lips, and said bluntly:

"Get out of the way, this is my spot."
