Monday, the first day of school.
The sky was a hazy gray, and nothing could be seen clearly.
"Miss Yuzu, it's only five o'clock. Why don't you sleep a little longer?" The butler was getting on in years and usually woke up early, so he would get up at the slightest noise.
He had just stepped outside when he saw Xiaoyouzi already doing her warm-up exercises.
Wearing her martial arts training clothes, Xiaoyouzi turned her head, looked at the butler, and smiled: "I'm not going to sleep. I got up early to practice martial arts today. I still have to pack my things later, so I won't be coming back here tonight."
"Miss Yuzu is leaving?" The butler's eyes showed a hint of reluctance.
Nodding, Xiaoyouzi said, "Yes, I'm going to live at school."
"Will Miss Yuzu be back on Saturday and Sunday?" the butler asked considerately.
Little Yuzu squatted down and tugged at her leg: "Yes, Mommy's here, of course I want to come back."
A school district house is just a temporary residence; home is where Mom is.
"I'm not chatting anymore, I'm going to exercise." With a wave of her hand, Xiaoyouzi ran out.
The housekeeper smiled and then quickly went to make breakfast.
Half an hour later, Little Pomelo slowly exhaled and came back.
She went to Wen Sitian's room and knocked on the door: "Cousin, get up! We need to catch the bus back to school early today."
Although Luo Chen didn't like Wen Sitian, he still prepared a school uniform for her in advance and completed all the enrollment procedures.
"Here you are."
Wen Sitian, with her hair a mess, opened the door and saw Xiao Youzi in her martial arts uniform. She was slightly taken aback: "Xiao Youzi, what time did you get up?"
"Five o'clock! The air is not bad, perfect for breathing in some fresh air."
Wen Sitian's eyes widened: Little Youzi actually got up so early! She's younger than me, and she works harder than me! How terrifying!
Xiaoyouzi didn't miss Wen Sitian's expression. She smiled and said, "It's good that you're up. Pack your clothes in a bit. We're not going back to stay here. Once you're done, we'll go to the living room for breakfast."
"Ah, okay."
Wen Sitian replied blankly.
Little Yuzu went back to her room, changed into clean clothes, and carried her precious safe downstairs.
Anyway, she had prepared clothes over there, so she only needed to bring the precious safe with her.
She doesn't feel at ease without having her by her side.
At six o'clock, Luo Chen came downstairs dressed in casual sportswear and saw Xiao Youzi, who was already dressed up.
She wore her hair in double buns, dressed in a neat school uniform, and sat on top of a huge safe with her schoolbag on her back, smiling at him: "Big brother, you're awake!"
"Little Yuzu, you're up so early today, have you finished exercising?" Luo Chen raised an eyebrow in disbelief: To be honest, the most diligent exerciser in the family is no longer him, but Little Yuzu!
No wonder when watching Xiaoyouzi's wilderness escape clips, she always seems so relaxed, with maximum fighting power, taking down an alligator with a single punch.
As expected of my sister, she's terrifying!
Little Yuzu patted the safe: "I've already finished exercising, taken a shower, and packed my things. Here, this is enough!"
"What?" Luo Chen's gaze fell on Xiao Youzi's safe, his pupils shrinking slightly: "Xiao Youzi, don't you need to bring anything else besides this?"
Nodding, Xiaoyouzi said, "Of course, just the box is enough. I still have my clothes at the house."
"Okay, then I'll take you to school later, okay?" Luo Chen thought there was no need to exercise anymore: "What time do you guys start?"
Little Yuzu's big eyes darted around, and she said, "The opening ceremony starts at 8:30, and we have to get to school at 8:00. It's 6:00 now. It'll take an hour and a half to get back to school from here. We can have breakfast and then we'll leave."
Before getting up, Xiaoyouzi had already looked it all up on her phone.
Luo Chen nodded: "Okay, I'll take you back."
He went to the living room to have breakfast and happened to run into Wen Sitian, who had just finished tidying up.
Upon seeing Luo Chen, Wen Sitian instinctively felt a little scared, but still obediently said, "Big brother."
Luo Chen glanced at Wen Sitian indifferently: "Protect Xiaoyouzi at school, don't let anything happen to her."
"Okay, big brother." Wen Sitian clenched her little fists, then relaxed them: It's already very good that the Luo family is willing to let me study; at least it's much better than that other family. Besides, Xiaoyouzi is very good to me, so it's only right that I protect her.
Thinking about it, Wen Sitian smiled.
The smile was genuine, and Luo Chen didn't provoke her with any more words.
The two ate breakfast without incident.
At 6:30, Luo Chen drove the SUV to the door.
He paused, looking at Xiaoyouzi's large safe, and said, "Let me move it to the car for you."
"Huh? You can't move it? Let me do it." Little Yuzu felt that no one could match her strength. The safe in front of her was made of the finest materials and was extremely heavy, weighing a full two hundred kilograms.
Luo Chen didn't want to lose face, so he gave it a try.
As expected, it remained completely still.
Xiaoyou frowned as she looked at the height of the trunk off the ground: "Although I can lift it, my legs are too short to lift it into the car."
"Little Yuzu, I'll have someone deliver this to your school district apartment." Luo Chen decisively gave up on carrying the incredibly heavy suitcase.
Smiling, Xiaoyouzi didn't want to put Luo Chen in a difficult position, so she nodded and said, "Okay, thank you, brother."
Wen Sitian then pulled out her suitcase and said obediently, "I've already packed."
"Get in the car," Luo Chen said calmly.
Today is the opening ceremony. It's basically just handing in homework, listening to the principal's ramblings, and receiving textbooks.
So Little Yuzu was particularly relaxed in the car.
Wen Sitian nervously clutched her schoolbag.
This was her first time studying in China, so she wasn't very familiar with it and everything seemed unfamiliar. She could only learn by following Xiaoyouzi.
