"Pomelo Baby is right!"
Wen Yanrou's mood immediately improved.
The group sat in the pavilion and ate some fruit. Little Yuzi casually took out her homework and finished it.
"Cousin, have you finished your homework?"
After packing her schoolbag, Xiaoyouzi peeked over to take a look.
In the first and second grades, students only take Chinese and math, but in the third grade, English is added.
Fortunately, Wen Sitian's English is pretty good.
My math skills are alright too.
My Chinese language skills are a bit weak.
Biting her pen, Wen Sitian stared blankly at the after-class reading in Chinese class: "I don't know what thoughts and feelings this author has, I can't write them down."
"Let me see!"
Little Yuzi sat down next to Wen Sitian with great interest and started watching together.
Not long after, Xiaoyouzi frowned: "What feelings could there be? There are no feelings, right?"
"The teacher said there will be many more questions like this in the future, and we must learn reading comprehension." Wen Sitian hasn't studied Chinese much yet and is very unskilled; she even has to think for a long time before she can write a sentence.
Xiao Youzi patted Wen Sitian on the shoulder: "Don't worry, cousin, you can do it. This is just the beginning."
After offering some words of comfort, Xiaoyouzi picked up Wen Sitian's English textbook.
This is the language she's going to be learning. She can speak it, but looking at the things in the book is like looking at a foreign language to her; she can only recognize a few simple words.
"Oh, I don't know either." Xiaoyouzi silently put down her English textbook and gave an awkward smile.
Wen Yanrou smiled and said, "Little Youzi wants to learn English?"
"I can think about it, I can say it, but I don't know many words." Little Yuzu was also helpless about this: she just doesn't know them.
Wen Yanrou patted her little pigtails: "It's okay if you want to learn, Mommy will teach you, okay?"
"Really?" Little Yuzu rubbed her hands together expectantly, staring at Wen Yanrou.
Wen Yanrou chuckled: "Of course it's true. Your mommy is a graduate of MIT, after all."
Little Pomelo: ...
That sounds pretty awesome.
But I can't understand it.
"Yay!" Little Yuzu didn't care about anything else and jumped up happily.
Wen Sitian, who was standing next to her, was also infected by Xiaoyouzi's smile.
"Cousin, hurry up and do your Chinese homework," Xiaoyouzi reminded her.
Wen Sitian: We were speaking English just a second ago, how did we suddenly switch to Chinese?
"knew."
She gave a perfunctory reply and started writing rapidly.
After finishing her homework, Xiaoyouzi devoured a large amount of fruit.
A dozen minutes later, the plate was empty.
"Burp~" Little Yuzu burped, smacked her lips, patted her tummy contentedly, and asked, "By the way, cousin, have you finished your Chinese homework?"
She tilted her head, her big eyes fixed on Wen Sitian.
"I haven't finished! This Chinese is so hard!" Wen Sitian sighed, completely stumped by the reading comprehension section, her face full of worry: "I really don't know anything about it! What should I do!"
Seeing this, Xiaoyouzi could only say, "Why don't we go get something to eat before we continue? Staying here will only make you more and more irritable. Eat something to relieve your anxiety."
What did they say on TV?
What can relieve worries? Only eating and drinking well.
Wen Yanrou: "Little Yuzi is right."
She looked up at the sky outside; it was already getting dark. "It's almost lunchtime. Let's go eat together."
"Okay, Auntie."
Without saying a word, Wen Sitian packed her schoolbag and pushed her back to the castle.
Luo Chen did not return when it was time for dinner.
It was just the three of them—Xiaoyouzi, Xiaoyouzi, and Xiaoyouzi—eating together at home, and the dishes were plentiful.
"This braised chicken leg is so delicious!" Little Yuzu said with a smile. "Absolutely fantastic!"
Wen Sitian nodded slightly.
After dinner, Xiaoyouzi approached the housekeeper: "Grandpa Housekeeper, I want a cook and a nanny to come to the school district to take care of my cousin and me."
"Of course, no problem," the butler agreed without hesitation.
After all, the eldest son had called back early that afternoon to tell them.
The butler inquired, "I wonder what type Miss Yuzu would like? I can provide you with a file."
"The cook can only cook Sichuan cuisine, right? As for the cleaners, call them all out so I can take a look."
Nodding, the butler said, "Okay, I'll arrange it for you right away."
Before long, the living room was filled with people. They all introduced themselves and knew how to cook Sichuan cuisine.
After much deliberation, Xiaoyouzi finally chose a cook who looked very cute.
Soon, the housekeeper also arranged for the cleaners to come.
Xiao Youzi's sharp gaze swept over the cleaners, finally pointing to a rather thin girl: "She'll do."
“Okay, Miss Yuzu.”
After finishing all that, Xiaoyouzi happily went back to her room.
Over there, in Wen Sitian's room.
Wen Sitian, who was still struggling with her Chinese homework, suddenly paused.
Her phone rang.
The caller ID is in English.
Wen Sitian trembled almost imperceptibly.
Here they come again!
Just like a vampire, once they start sucking you in, they won't let go!
Clenching her fists, Wen Sitian quickly took a deep breath and answered the phone: "Hello, Mom."
"Don't call me Mom!" Wen's mother's sharp and sarcastic voice rang out from the other end of the phone.
She really hated Wen Sitian; she couldn't get anything done right.
Wen Sitian asked softly, "Mom, what's wrong?"
"You still have the nerve to ask me what's wrong? Did you do what I asked you to do? You good-for-nothing!" Wen's mother's voice was sharp and grating, making Wen Sitian want to smash her phone.
