Late at night, the secluded and quiet experimental base was brightly lit.
"Drip, drip, drip..."
Inside the brightly lit room, a huge machine was running.
The machine is shaped like a crab, with its body close to the ground and eight legs standing tall, each holding a reagent.
The reagents come in a variety of colors, making them dazzling to the eye.
In the very center is a transparent glass jar, connected to reagents attached to eight crab legs.
As the valve opened, liquids of different colors slowly flowed into the jar and quietly blended together.
In front of the machine, a tall, slender, and handsome young man wearing a white lab coat and gold-rimmed glasses stared intently at the changes after the reagents were mixed, his sharp eyes unblinking.
Beside him stood a female intern, recording data.
The boy held a notebook in his hand, which was already filled with a lot of data. His handwriting was neat and the pages were clean and tidy, which was in stark contrast to the handwriting of the intern next to him.
He slightly raised his hand, his slender fingers barely concealed by the white surgical gloves.
The boy glanced at the glass jar, then used the pad of his middle finger to push up his glasses, just like an elegant and handsome nobleman in a movie.
The intern next to him couldn't help but silently shift his gaze to the boy.
"Focus on the data, not me.
The boy's cool voice was clear and distinct in the empty room.
His eyes were still fixed on the fusion potion, not even bothering to glance at the intern.
The intern paused slightly, a look of embarrassment on his face.
The boy seemed oblivious and continued coldly, "Did you write down the data? If you make another mistake, your entire bonus for this month will be deducted, and you can go back to your school."
"Sorry, team leader." The girl quickly looked away, a fleeting look of panic crossing her face.
She was an intern, and she had finally managed to get into the research institute to participate in such a big project, so she couldn't afford to make any mistakes.
She was already lucky that the hospital didn't punish her when the medicine was stolen. How could she be so infatuated with the vice president?
Half an hour later, the reagents slowly mixed completely.
"Beep, detecting no toxic substances, analyzing data composition." After the crab machine's speaker sounded, different parts started operating again.
Luo Yu frowned slightly, showing no sign of relaxing.
The intern next to him also kept his eyes glued to the machine, waiting for the result.
"The sample passed the test and is awaiting clinical trials." The crab machine's voice rang out, and Luo Yu's lips curled up slightly before he quickly lowered them again.
"Ah!" The intern next to her screamed, wanting to jump up with joy, but then remembered that Luo Yu was still there and immediately covered her mouth.
The excitement in her eyes was clearly visible, and she looked at Luo Yu with a smile.
Luo Yu copied the analysis data into his notebook without expression: "Hmm, it's about the same as what I calculated, and the reaction is about the same too. Let's use mice for the experiment first."
As he spoke, he reached out and pressed the button on the wall.
"Beep, fingerprint verification successful." After the cold, mechanical voice sounded, a huge glass dome descended from the sky, firmly covering the crab machine.
Not long ago, a theft occurred at the research institute.
The medicine they had developed over two years had vanished.
It's important to understand that the drug, which had multiple layers of encryption protection, has been lost; this represents a tremendous loss for the research institute.
The dean swiftly and decisively arrested many people and sent them to the military for review, resulting in the entire research institute losing seven or eight people.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have recruited interns.
After finishing, Luo Yu glanced coldly at the intern next to him: "What are you still standing here for? You have the data, and you're supposed to replicate it tonight. You don't need me to teach you anymore, right?"
"Yes, team leader!"
The girl was startled.
Oh no, I was so focused on admiring the team leader's good looks that I forgot she's an unapproachable ice block.

The intern hurriedly packed up his things, grabbed his notebook and the papers with his handwritten calculations, and dashed to the lab next door.
"Brothers, let's get to work!"
"Smack!"
The laboratory door slowly closed, and Luo Yu took off his glasses and rubbed his sore brow.
He spent two years in the lab for this experiment.
I've been working through the night these past two days fixing data; I'm completely exhausted.
Luo Yu slowly tidied up the things on the table, then sorted out the unwanted data and shredded it with a paper shredder.
The remaining data were placed in a sealed bag.
"Beep, iris verification successful!"
"Beep, fingerprint verification successful!"
"Beep, key matches, lock unlocked successfully!"
With three beeping sounds, the safe opened, Luo Yu put the documents inside, and then locked it again with multiple safety locks.
As he stood up, Luo Yu's figure swayed slightly.
Even someone as young as him couldn't handle staying up for two consecutive all-nighters.
After leaving the house, Luo Yu was about to take the elevator downstairs.
The elevator slowly ascended and stopped in front of Luo Yu.
"bite."
As soon as the elevator doors opened, Luo Yu bumped into a male researcher and a military officer.
The researcher's eyes lit up when he saw Luo Yu. "Vice Dean Luo, you're out..."
Despite his young age, Luo Yu has become the vice president of the research institute thanks to his exceptional knowledge and experimental skills.
He is good-looking and young, but he is aloof and unapproachable. He is known in the compound as a ruthless and uncompromising man.
"No need to call me that." Luo Yu reached out and turned off the elevator button, his gaze sweeping over the middle-aged colonel next to the male researcher: "And this gentleman is?"
The male researcher paused for a moment, then explained, "Team leader, this is Colonel Qin, sent by the First Military Region to protect us."
