The storage room was opened, and dust rushed out.
"Cough cough cough!"
Cheng Cheng took two steps back and suddenly started coughing.
He was too close and accidentally took a big breath.
"Are you alright?" Xiaoyouzi asked with concern when she noticed Cheng Cheng's disheveled appearance.
Cheng Cheng shook his head and frowned.
The storage room was pitch black, and there was an eerie silence inside.
It was as if a demon was lurking in the shadows, baring its fangs and claws, waiting for him to enter.
Cheng Cheng took out his phone from his pocket and turned on the flashlight.
There was nothing scary inside, no traps or mechanisms, just a ladder lying quietly.
The ladder is an A-frame wooden ladder.
Cheng Cheng exclaimed in surprise, "Little Youzi, there's a ladder here!"
"Here you are."
Little Yuzu walked over, fanned away the dust, and stared at the ladder with bright eyes: "This ladder came just in time, I'll go and move it out."
"Let me do it," Cheng Cheng stopped Xiao Youzi. "It's hard for you to carry, I'll get it."
Although he knew that Xiaoyouzi was strong and capable, he still subconsciously treated Xiaoyouzi like a child.
Little Yuzu didn't say anything, and stood obediently to the side watching.
"Use this." Cheng Cheng grabbed a pillowcase from the sofa next to her to cover her mouth and nose before going inside to bring out the ladder.
The wooden ladder made a sound, and with Cheng Cheng shaking it, a lot of dust fell off.
Xiao Youzi took two steps back, making way for Cheng Cheng.
Cheng Cheng placed the wooden ladder under the small window, held it up, and stepped on it. It was quite sturdy. "I'll go up and take a look," he said.
"Wait a minute." Cheng Cheng was about to climb up when Xiao Youzi tugged at his sleeve: "Brother Cheng Cheng, let me do it!"
Cheng Cheng glanced at her sideways: "This is a bit dangerous."
"It's okay, even if I fall, Brother Cheng Cheng will catch me." Little Yuzi gave a cute smile, and Cheng Cheng immediately fell silent.
So cute! I'm swooning over how adorable they are!
That's a foul! That's a huge foul!
Before Cheng Cheng could react, Xiao Youzi nimbly climbed up the ladder.
Seeing this, Cheng Cheng stepped onto the wooden ladder and warned, "Be careful."
"No problem."
Little Yuzu climbed to the top, patted the spot on the wooden ladder, and sat down.
The narrow window obstructed the view, and the seat wasn't a good place to stick one's head out, so Xiaoyouzi stood up again.
"careful!"
Cheng Cheng was calling out anxiously from below.
"I'm fine."
Little Yuzu opened the window, grabbed the rusty railing with her little hands, and stuck her head out.
She pressed her fair face against the railing and glanced out sideways: "It seems like I can't see anything."
Frowning, Xiaoyouzi took out her phone from her pocket and peeked out to record a video.
"Alright, let's take a look."
Xiao Youzi climbed down the ladder with her phone in hand and started watching it with Cheng Cheng.
"It's not going to work." Little Yuzu frowned. "The outside door is blocked by cement, and the road is in such bad shape that it's impassable."
In other words, it's completely impossible to get to the castle from here.
There must be another way.
"If they won't let us use the door, are we supposed to climb through the window?" Cheng Cheng had quite a wild idea.
Little Yuzu's eyes suddenly lit up: "Yes, there's another window over there, let's go take a look."
“Okay.” Cheng Cheng casually picked up the ladder, acting as a dutiful porter.
Little Yuzi climbed the ladder again and took a picture of the outside with her phone.
"Come and take a look."
The two sat on the sofa and started watching.
Above the camera, upstairs, there is a path leading to the castle.
This is a bridge made of iron frames, covered with vines, and now it's full of blooming roses.
"It seems this is the way out for us."
"Yes."
Xiaoyouzi and Cheng Cheng exchanged a glance and decided to go upstairs.
This building isn't so easy to get up.
Cheng Cheng and Xiao Youzi arrived at the stairwell and stared at each other, wide-eyed at the locked door.
This isn't the kind of wooden door you see at the entrance; it's a very heavy iron door.
Its keyhole is very large, so it must require a very large key.
"If we can't open it, we'll have to find the key." Cheng Cheng quickly concluded and began searching.
The production team is unlikely to create a dead end.
Little Yuzu didn't act immediately; instead, she squatted down and looked at the keyhole.
To see it more clearly, she turned on her phone's flashlight and shone it on the keyhole.
Cheng Cheng turned around and saw Xiao Youzi doing this. He asked in confusion, "What are you doing, Xiao Youzi?"
"Brother Cheng Cheng, do you think if I just kick this lock down, we can get in?" Little Yuzi tilted her head, her bright eyes looking at Cheng Cheng.
The eagerness in his eyes was very obvious.
Cheng Cheng paused, then said hesitantly, "I think it's better not to. This door looks very heavy. I don't want you to hurt your leg. I'll go find the key now."
"Oh well."
Xiao Youzi glanced regretfully at the iron gate and started searching with Cheng Cheng.
She went to the bookshelf that Cheng Cheng had just flipped through; she could only see two shelves, and the higher shelves were invisible.
Cheng Cheng glanced at it and said, "Little Yuzu, I've already looked there."
"I know."
Little Yuzu responded and touched the side of the cabinet.
Suddenly, she paused.
On the side of this large bookcase, about a meter away, there is a barely noticeable protrusion.
Little Yuzu pressed it.
"boom!"
The bookshelf made a strange sound and then opened to both sides.
Inside, there was a small box.
