Chapter 299: Brother Cheng, your palms are sweaty.

Little Yuzi walked over and picked it up casually.

"What is this?" Cheng Cheng was so surprised that she ran to Xiao Youzi's side.

Xiao Youzi tightened her grip on the box, weighed her options, and then turned to Cheng Cheng with a smile: "Let's take a look together."

"good."

Little Yuzu opened the box, inside was a small silver knife, with a note tucked underneath.

Xiao Youzi picked up the note, opened it, and frowned: "Brother Cheng Cheng, it's all written in English, I can't understand it."

Little Pomelo: Damn it, I've suffered because I'm uncultured!

"Let me see." Cheng Cheng took the note and read it carefully.

After all, this thing is hidden so deep, it must be useful.

Soon, the slight smile that Cheng Cheng had initially worn turned into a grim expression as he spent more and more time reading the note.

Little Yuzi curiously tugged at Cheng Cheng's sleeve, and only after Cheng Cheng had finished scanning the area did she ask, "Brother Cheng Cheng, what does this say?"

"This knife can kill evil spirits; it's a very important tool." Cheng Cheng looked at the knife in the small box with burning eyes.

Little Yuzu saw his expression and understood something in her heart.

Regarding Cheng Cheng's mission.

Just by looking at their expressions, Xiaoyouzi knew they weren't on the same wavelength.

But it's okay.

"So it can kill evil spirits?"

Little Yuzu's eyes widened, her gaze filled with joy: "This is a good thing! I'm going to keep it safe."

"right!"

Cheng Cheng readily agreed.

Seeing how carefully Xiaoyouzi put away the wooden box containing the knife, Cheng Cheng had some ideas.

Her task is likely similar to yours, which is why she needs the same tools.

I just don't know if Xiaoyouzi is actually my teammate.

It's not good to reveal information so quickly.

I'm so conflicted.

Seeing that Cheng Cheng was still lost in thought, Xiao Youzi said, "Brother Cheng Cheng, let's look at something else first."

"good."

The two continued their search.

Five minutes later.

Cheng Cheng sat dejectedly on the sofa: "What went wrong? Why can't I find the key?"

He had practically turned this small place upside down, but he still couldn't find any clues. Where exactly did things go wrong?

"Little Yuzu, what are you doing?"

As soon as Cheng Cheng sat down, Xiao Youzi got up and walked to the desk.

“I remember, it was here.”

She muttered a couple of words to herself and took out the large cross from under the notebook.

Little Yuzu touched the cross.

It's very smooth; it doesn't look like it could be unlocked.

Little Yuzu held it up and looked it over from top to bottom, then her eyes lit up: "I hope this is it, it's about your size."

She gently pressed down on the top of the cross, and it actually moved.

It works on the same principle as a ballpoint pen.

Little Yuzi's face lit up with joy, and she pressed down hard.

"Click".

The cross made a slight, soft sound, and the lower shell suddenly shrank back, revealing a rough, uneven key.

Little Yuzu exclaimed excitedly, "Brother Cheng Cheng! I found the key!"

"Oh! Really?"

Cheng Cheng immediately jumped up and went to the door with Xiao Youzi.

He stared at the large key in Xiaoyouzi's hand and frowned: "Xiaoyouzi, where did you get this key? It's so big. I searched everywhere before but couldn't find it."

Am I so blind that I can't even see such a big bunch of keys?

"I'll explain later. Let me try this key to see if it works." With that, Xiaoyouzi inserted the key.

The key and lock fit together, and Xiaoyouzi gently twisted it, making a loosening sound.

Little Pomelo: "The lock is open, and it really is it."

Cheng Cheng, standing next to him, widened her eyes in surprise: "Really!"

Little Yuzu is amazing!

Inside the suspended camera.

Director Li was overjoyed to see that Xiaoyouzi had discovered the secret of the cross: "She's truly my daughter! She figured it out even though she didn't know it! So clever!"

Just then, the assistant director passed by and, seeing Director Li laughing so hard, frowned and said, "You should also take a look at the performance of the other people."

“I’ve already looked at them,” Director Li said matter-of-factly. “The others are fine to just glance at. We’ve already arranged it with you: you look at the castle, and I’ll look at the stone tower.”

At this moment, the assistant director noticed that Xiaoyouzi and the others had opened the door, and checked the time again: "Half an hour has passed, they only have an hour and a half left, and they're not moving very fast."

"What do you know?" Director Li rolled his eyes at him. "You'd better leave. You're bothering me here."

"snort!"

After the assistant director left, Director Li watched Xiaoyouzi and Cheng Cheng's performance on camera with great satisfaction: Keep it up, my daughter!

Cheng Cheng opened the door, and a dark staircase appeared in front of them.

The staircase spirals upwards into complete darkness.

"Little Yuzu, where did you find this?" Cheng Cheng couldn't contain his curiosity and asked.

Little Yuzu said with a grin, "Of course it's the cross on the table. I found it and took out the key to try it out."

"cross?"

Cheng Cheng recalled the large cross he had seen more than once.

He simply thought it was a cross and hadn't studied it carefully.

I never imagined that the key was right there in my hands, so easily within my grasp, but I failed to seize it!

Cheng Cheng asked, "Little Youzi, how did you know?"

If Xiaoyouzi hadn't mentioned it, he wouldn't have even thought about the cross.
