Chapter 300 Mom, help! There's a dried corpse here!

Little Yuzu glanced at the fish tank and continued watching.

There were no windows on this side of the workbench, only a dilapidated lamp.

There are no windows on the right side either.

The only window in the entire place is at the top of the stairs, which allows light to reach only the top of the stairs.

There was a small flower bed under the window, with two withered roses planted there.

Shining the phone light inside, Xiaoyouzi walked towards the mummified corpse again.

"Huh, what's this?"

Little Yuzu seemed to have discovered something and took several steps back.

Unaware of what was going on, Cheng Cheng could only obediently follow and back away.

Little Yuzu squinted and looked at it: "That looks like a formation, yes, it is a formation."

"A formation?" Cheng Cheng's mind raced through various horror movies, and he trembled with fear. "What kind of formation? Is it a deadly formation?"

"Maybe."

Little Yuzu looked at it carefully.

In the middle of the large open space, an incomprehensible array was drawn, with a black platform in the center, where the priest sat.

They hadn't noticed and had directly stepped onto the array to get to the priest's side.

There was a large pool of blood below the platform, which must have been left by the priest.

Clearly, the priest met with misfortune while performing a ritual.

He eventually bled to death on that platform.

Little Yuzu once again stepped over the mummified corpse, then over the workbench, and came to the back.

There's a door behind this; judging by its location, it should be the door that connects to the castle.

The door is not bound by a lock, nor is there a way to open it.

"That's strange," Cheng Cheng said. "This door has no handle, so we have nowhere to turn it."

"There's no handle, no need to look for the key, it won't open." Little Yuzu stroked her chin thoughtfully.

She remembered her mentor telling her that this kind of door is usually found in high-tech places, similar to automatic sensor doors or controllable mechanism doors.

Cheng Cheng: "I'll go take a look."

Cheng Cheng wasn't afraid of just knocking on the door.

"Knock knock knock".

After knocking a few times, Cheng Cheng frowned and said, "This is an alloy door, but there's no way to open it."

"A mechanical door," Little Yuzu said.

Since the door doesn't open automatically, it must be a mechanical door.

It's being manipulated by someone else.

Cheng Cheng asked curiously, "If it's a trapdoor, how do we get out?"

They have absolutely no clue what to do right now.

They didn't even know how to open the door.

“Since there’s a mechanism, there must be a way to open it.” Little Yuzu walked straight to the workbench.

"Click".

The stone tower lit up.

It's a yellow light bulb, and the area it illuminates isn't very large, giving it a dim feel; you can barely see the things on the table.

"Let's hurry up and look for it." She took out her phone and started searching in places where it was hard to see clearly under the light.

Cheng Cheng didn't want to hold anyone back, so she said, "Okay, I'm coming."

He glanced cautiously at the still, mummified corpse, then quickly went to the workbench and crouched down to search through it.

After removing her blindfold, Luo Li found herself trapped in a bedroom.

"Clang."

Looking down, Luo Li noticed that her hands were cuffed with leather handcuffs.

The handcuffs were connected to an iron chain that ran from the middle of the bedroom where he was standing into a small room next to it.

At that moment, the iron chain moved.

Luo Li was startled and quickly went to the door of the small room.

He crouched down and looked into the small room.

Who is it?

Just then, a face suddenly appeared.

"ah!"

Luo Li screamed in fright and fell to the ground.

He was genuinely terrified.

"Is that you?" Hu Kai's expressionless face appeared in the small window.

Luo Li scrambled to her feet in a fluster: "Teacher Hu, I didn't expect to be in the same group as you."

He doesn't really enjoy socializing, otherwise he wouldn't have been described as aloof in the past.

He just likes hanging out with people he knows.

“Just call me Brother Hu.” Hu Kai nodded to him and continued, “We’re chained up; we have to open the door.”

Hu Kai, as expected of a seasoned player, immediately took control of the game.

Luo Li nodded obediently: "Then I'll go find the key next."

"etc."

Hu Kai called out to Luo Li: "There might be two keys. Open both of them and keep them within the activity area."

There must be some kind of restriction on this iron chain, otherwise it wouldn't exist.

Luo Li nodded: "Okay, if there's anything you need my help with, just let me know."

Yes, it will.

The two left through the small door and began searching the room separately.

Luo Li could only walk a short distance, just to the desk, when he twitched his wrist, indicating that he couldn't go any further.

Luo Li didn't call out to Hu Kai immediately, but instead looked around with a deep gaze.

"That is...?"

Luo Li, with her sharp eyes, suddenly noticed something.

He stood on tiptoe and looked more closely, and it turned out to be a strangely shaped statue of a priest.

The priest's face was blurred, as if it had been scratched by something.

I was able to recognize him as a priest thanks to his robes.

He didn't look at it closely, but instead glanced up and said, "Teacher Hu, I found the key."

Hu Kai was standing not far from the door at that moment.

Upon hearing that Luo Li had found something, he immediately went to the doorway and squatted down expressionlessly: "Where is it?"

"On the bookshelf."

Luo Li took two steps forward, and the iron chain on her wrist tightened again: "Brother Hu, I'm still a little short here, I can't reach it."
