It looks like an ordinary basement.
However, the room was very dimly lit, with only a single yellow light bulb hanging in the center, making it difficult to see many things clearly.
"It's too dark here." Zhang Qianqian frowned and walked towards the door.
Her hand was stroking something on the wall, and her gaze was looking inside.
Suddenly, Zhang Qianqian saw Bai Yu standing in the shadows, like a ghost that had suddenly appeared.
She was startled: "Teacher Bai, what are you doing?"
"It's nothing." Bai Yu tried to suppress her slightly trembling voice as she walked over.
Zhang Qianqian secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Although this wasn't her first time participating in this variety show, she was always startled by the people she was with.
Ghosts aren't scary; it's people scaring each other that's scary.
"Teacher Bai, I found a switch, I don't know if it's for turning on the light," Zhang Qianqian said, pressing the button.
"Smack!"
The sound of lights being turned on.
Bai Yu felt the wall next to her light up.
He paused, then took a few steps back.
It lit up because the light next to this wall was working.
The light shines on one wall.
"Hiss!" Bai Yu was so startled that she staggered back a few steps.
This wall is not ordinary; it is covered with all sorts of strange and unusual things.
It has all sorts of strange, dense lines on it, all mixed together.
Even more terrifying, there were bloodstains on the walls and a lot of torn plaster scattered on the ground, as if someone had gone mad here.
"This door is locked from the inside; you need a key to open it," Bai Yu said calmly, trying to control her emotions as she stood at the doorway.
Zhang Qianqian nodded: "That's right. This place isn't big. If we search everywhere, we should find some clues soon."
"good."
Bai Yu naturally had no objections, and only breathed a sigh of relief after Zhang Qianqian turned her head away.
He got up and walked towards the stove.
"Huh? What's that?"
Bai Yu suddenly discovered a metal object with one corner sticking out in the ashes of the stove.
He quickly went over and swept away the dust, and sure enough, he found an iron box embedded in the floor.
After prying the metal box out, Bai Yu frowned as she looked at the locked box: "This requires a four-digit password. Since it only contains letters, it must start with an abbreviation of something."
"However, needing a password is a bit troublesome, since we don't know how much time this will take." Bai Yu didn't want to waste time here and prepared to start looking for the key to leave.
Zhang Qianqian, however, had a different opinion: "These kinds of mystery-solving stories are all like this; they basically all require you to find key clues and complete your mission."
Compared to Bai Yu's somewhat flustered demeanor, Zhang Qianqian remained calm and composed.
Task?
Bai Yu thought back on her mission and felt a bit of a headache.
After staring ahead for a while, Bai Yu smiled and said, "You're right, that's exactly it. I'll go find it right away."
He placed the box on the table, turned around, and went to the wall: "I'll try it when I find the right key."
"good."
Zhang Qianqian glanced at Bai Yu's busy figure and smiled.
It's been a long time since I've met such an interesting guest.
Despite being terrified, she pretended to be calm and forced herself to stay composed...
*
"Found it!"
Little Yuzu excitedly held up the note in her hand: "Brother Cheng Cheng, come and see!"
"They're here."
Cheng Cheng put down what she was holding and ran to Xiao Youzi's side.
"What did you find?"
Cheng Cheng asked curiously.
Little Yuzu unfolded the crumpled piece of paper: "This is a piece of paper I dug out from under the stool. It says how to open the door."
Cheng Cheng: "What method?"
"Not a very good method." Little Yuzu frowned slightly as she looked at the contents.
"Let me see!" Cheng Cheng sat down next to Xiao Youzi.
The note read: How to unlock: [Picture]
The picture shows the body of a priest, holding a Bible in one hand and a cross necklace in the other.
There is also a note in smaller print below.
Note: Both items need to be collected to open the door to the castle.
The two looked at each other, both speechless for a moment.
Little Yuzu frowned and said, "I thought it was going to trigger some kind of mechanism, but I didn't expect that it would take these two things to open the door."
Her gaze fell on the priest: "I wonder how it uses the mechanism the priest made?"
"Too cruel." Cheng Cheng trembled with fear.
The priest was already a dried-up corpse, yet they still turned him into a machine!
Xiao Youzi patted Cheng Cheng on the shoulder and stood up: "Brother Cheng Cheng, don't think too much. We only have half an hour left, let's hurry up and look."
"Oh right, only half an hour left!"
Cheng Cheng immediately stood up. He wasn't afraid of mummies or anything like that anymore, even with his flashlight on.
Getting out is the priority!
Xiaoyouzi glanced at the workbench and finally fixed her gaze on the fish tank: "I wonder if they have any here."
She ran to the fish tank, but couldn't see it clearly, so she took out a chair and climbed onto the table.
"Little Yuzu, watch out!"
Cheng Cheng suddenly shouted, startling Xiao Youzi so much that she almost dropped her phone into the fish tank.
She took a deep breath and shone the flashlight into the fish tank.
This fish tank is exquisite, with aquatic plants, small fish, and artificial rockery for viewing; it's very beautiful.
