Chapter 307 The Nanny's Work Log

The current situation is a bit strange.

Seeing that the two men were completely ignoring her conversation with Director Li, the Filipino maid decided to complete her mission before running away.

"Run!" the Filipino maid screamed, her face eerily frightening.

Little Yuzu was startled by her sudden shout.

The Filipino maid acted as if she hadn't noticed anything, and ran away as soon as she finished yelling.

After ending the call, Director Li turned off the microphone and said speechlessly, "That's terrifying. Where did this actor come from?"

"Just some random extras," the assistant director replied helplessly.

They arranged this scene to surprise the guests and give them a fright.

Unexpectedly, the NPC waited for so long that he fell asleep in the empty space behind the bed.

Paid sleep!

Director Li pinched the bridge of his nose: "Waking her up is worse than not waking her at all!"

After discovering that Xiaoyouzi and the others had entered the house, Director Li and his assistant took turns bombarding the sleeping NPCs with questions to wake them up.

Unexpectedly, the person got up, but after a brief scare, ran away without paying any attention to the guests.

None of the tasks were issued, completely rendering the NPCs useless.

They could only go with the flow and let the Filipino maid come back and continue the storyline.

"Fortunately, at least the mission was accomplished." The assistant director sighed slightly, his face full of worry.

This actor deserves a pay cut!

The NPC, unaware that he had been penalized, ran away.

Everything has settled down.

Picking up the phone from the ground and returning it to Cheng Cheng, Xiao Youzi frowned as she looked around the room: "There shouldn't be anything left in this room."

She picked up her phone and shone it inside.

The environment was pitch black, and I still couldn't see anything.

It's quite difficult to search through a house like that.

"This room is still too dark," Cheng Cheng said, frowning.

He stood at the doorway, gripping the doorframe, clearly still slightly traumatized by what had just happened.

Little Yuzu looked around and said, "I wonder if there's anywhere else I can look for it."

The results were obtained through observation of the light emitted by the phone.

There was a bed in the room, but no desk or chair, just a bedside table at most, and a suitcase in the corner.

The whole house was clean, tidy, and simple.

Just then, Cheng Cheng suddenly said, "There's a light inside, Little Yuzu."

"where?"

Little Yuzu looked up and followed the light Cheng Cheng had illuminated with his phone.

There is a small, round, recessed light fixture on the ceiling directly opposite the bed.

"It's such a small light, you really can't see it if you don't look carefully," Cheng Cheng remarked, looking around with his phone. "If there's a light, there must be a switch. Let's look for it."

Xiaoyouzi and Cheng Cheng searched everywhere.

The entire house is completely exposed, and there aren't many places to hide the switches.

Little Yuzi looked around with her big, round eyes. There were no switches or buttons on the walls, the ceiling, or the floor.

Where exactly is the light switch hidden?

At this moment, Cheng Cheng complained, "I've never seen a light switch not installed at the doorway. People usually have one inside and one outside."

"Yes!"

As if suddenly remembering something, Xiaoyouzi ran to the bedside table inside, holding a lamp.

This bedside table is level with the bed and is very short.

The light was shining on the bedside table as Xiaoyouzi searched intently.

Finally, she found a small button in the gap between the bedside table and the bed.

This design is very unreasonable.

Light switches are usually installed in two locations: one near the door and the other on the bedside table inside the room. This way, you can turn on the light as soon as you enter the room and turn it off as soon as you return to the bedside table.

Hiding the light between the bedside table and the bed instead of having a light at the entrance is truly an anti-human design!

"Smack!"

Little Yuzu reached out and pressed the button, and the whole room lit up.

It turns out that there wasn't just one light in the room; the entire strip around the ceiling was made of lights.

They all used incandescent bulbs.

The whole room is now as bright as day.

With the light dispelling the darkness, Cheng Cheng felt much better.

Little Yuzi's eyes darted around, then she suddenly stopped and said, "Brother Cheng Cheng, look at that wall over there, there's such a small hole."

It was too dark just now; I could barely see anything.

Cheng Cheng said somewhat angrily, "Someone must have deliberately removed the light switch at the door."

There is no other reason besides this.

Little Yuzu frowned and said, "Let's look around first; there's bound to be some clues."

After all, she had been given that hint, so she was definitely going to find the key.

"Okay," Cheng Cheng replied, glancing under the bed.

I haven't seen it there yet.

Now that there were lights in the room, he wasn't so scared, so he slowly lay down and lifted the sheet covering the bottom of the bed.

I thought it would be like a horror movie with some kind of ghostly creature inside.

However, Cheng Cheng opened the door and found that there was nothing inside; the area under the bed was clean and empty.

Cheng Cheng was somewhat disappointed.

Here, Xiaoyouzi opened the bedside table.

There was nothing inside except some odds and ends.

At most, a pen appeared.

Having a pen but no paper is not right.

She easily moved the bedside table aside, her gaze falling on the area behind the headboard.

There's a board stuck in the middle, preventing it from going up or down.

There were many sheets of paper on the board, obviously used for taking notes or something similar.

Little Yuzi walked over quietly, picked up the board, and glanced at it.

"Hmm? It's a work log."

Hearing Xiaoyouzi's voice, Cheng Cheng quickly came over and asked, "What's wrong, Xiaoyouzi? What's this?"
