Mu Siyu was the first to come over: "Little Youzi, how come you have so much homework? Did you do it all by yourself at home on the weekend?"
"Some of them seem to be from later on," Wen Shuqin said, flipping through Xiaoyouzi's homework.
To differentiate herself, she used a new notebook to write her new homework.
Nodding, Xiaoyouzi said, "I need to ask for leave, so I talked to the teacher and previewed the rest of the lessons."
She only attended classes for three days this week.
"It's too curly!" Wen Tian couldn't help but exclaim.
Little Yuzu is working so hard, what excuse do I have to slack off! Let's get to work!
Jiang Qian exclaimed from the side, "No way, how could you write so much!"
"I'm so envious of you because you don't have to study after class on Wednesdays."
Jiang Qian doesn't consider himself academically inclined. Although his grades have improved recently, he's done well on quizzes, and even received two red flowers, he's given up on trying to improve his grades.
Xiao Youzi gave Jiang Qian a cold glance.
The latter immediately shivered: "I'm not envious, I'm not envious."
Almost forgot, Xiaoyouzi somehow got hold of her family's phone numbers, so she can monitor her study progress anytime.
With a smile, Xiaoyouzi said, "Study hard, there are plenty of people watching you."
"I know, I understand." Jiang Qian lowered his head, looking pitiful.
Mu Siyu, standing next to her, sneered, "Hahaha, serves you right for being so cocky!"
"Little Yuzu," Wen Shuqin called softly from the side.
Turning her head, Xiaoyouzi looked at Wen Shuqin and asked, "What's wrong, Brother Shuqin?"
"These are little cakes Mom made, have a taste." Wen Shuqin took a food box out of her schoolbag and opened it.
The aroma wafted out.
Little Yuzu's eyes lit up instantly: "It smells so good! Aunt Li's cooking must be delicious."
Seeing this, Wen Tian gritted her teeth inwardly: Fine, now that he saw I made mini cakes, he'll definitely make some too! I'll just have to hire someone to make them!
"Mmm, so delicious!" Little Yuzu was already eating.
She squinted her eyes happily and said, "It tastes amazing! No wonder Aunt Li made it. It's so delicious. I want to eat it again next time I visit your house."
"If you like, Mom said you can do it when you have time," Wen Shuqin chuckled.
Seeing this, Wen Tian picked up a piece of cake and started eating.
Her beautiful eyes lit up for a moment: "It really is delicious."
No, she's been outdone; she must make time to practice diligently.
Wen Tian glared at Wen Shuqin with her sweet little eyes, and made up her mind.
Before we knew it, it was afternoon.
The class meeting was moved to Monday afternoon.
The students in the class were having a heated discussion about what was going to happen later.
"We're going to talk about the play during our class meeting today. Have you all thought about it?"
"I haven't decided yet!"
Who do you think should be Little Red Riding Hood?
"Of course it's Xiaoyouzi, she's so cute."
As they spoke, many people secretly glanced at Xiaoyouzi.
Little Yuzi calmly wrote down the new words at the end.
She went to ask her homeroom teacher for leave as soon as she got back today, and also got the study plans for the remaining subjects. Knowing the general scope of what she needed to learn, she started doing her homework.
The teachers all knew that Xiaoyouzi was smart, so they just let her be.
They even remarked that the little pomelo was incredibly hardworking.
The real reason Xiaoyouzi is doing this is so that she won't have to cry and do her homework when she gets back.
"It's quiet now."
With one minute left before the bell rang for class, the homeroom teacher knocked on the door and came in.
The children in the classroom instantly fell silent, their big eyes fixed on their homeroom teacher.
After clearing his throat, the homeroom teacher said, "Good afternoon, students."
Hello, teacher.
Just as he finished speaking, the bell rang.
Little Yuzu raised her head as the bell rang.
She glanced at her homeroom teacher, smiled at her, and then lowered her head to continue doing her homework.
She wants to finish all her homework for this week in the next two days.
The homeroom teacher smiled at everyone, looking at them gently: "Everyone knows the focus of this afternoon's class meeting. Let's talk about the play we discussed last week. Does everyone have any thoughts?"
"Teacher, I can play the hunter!" Jiang Qian was the first to raise his hand, looking at his homeroom teacher expectantly: "Really, I'm in great shape!"
The class monitor stood up and said, "Teacher, I can play the Big Bad Wolf."
"Then I'll be the grandma!"
Everyone excitedly began assigning tasks, and the homeroom teacher smiled and said, "Okay, I'll write them all down for you. We'll make costumes to fit your body types later."
After much deliberation, only the role of Little Red Riding Hood remained undecided.
The teacher and students all quietly turned their attention to the little pomelo.
Noticing the intense gazes, Xiaoyouzi immediately looked up at them: "What's wrong?"
“There are still roles that haven’t been chosen,” Wen Shuqin said quietly from the side.
Little Yuzu immediately raised her hand and said, "Teacher, I want to act."
"Oh? Little Yuzu wants to be Little Red Riding Hood?" The homeroom teacher looked at Little Yuzu with a big smile: There's no way around it, Little Yuzu is so cute, being Little Red Riding Hood would be very eye-catching.
And everyone likes her very much.
Shaking her head, Little Yuzu stood up and said, "I want to be the tree behind Little Red Riding Hood! A big rock is fine too!"
"Why?"
In addition to the main characters, these school stage plays also have various backgrounds: big trees, stones, grass, and so on.
This is to increase the fun.
Most of the time, they just sit in the background as a backdrop.
The teacher never expected that Xiaoyouzi wouldn't accept the number one spot; she wanted to be just a background character.
