The butler led them to the top of the stairs and took out a task card: "This is your task card. Completing it will earn you a mysterious grand prize."
He's just an NPC who guides you through a quest.
He was caught off guard when Xiaoyouzi called him "Grandpa Butler".
"Thank you." Little Yuzu took the task card.
But the environment was too dark to see clearly.
"call out!"
Several sounds rang out, the surrounding red lanterns lit up, and music began to play.
But the housekeeper was nowhere to be found.
Xiaoyouzi and the others huddled together looking at the task.
Exploring the Bride's Secrets
"What does this bride's secret mean?" Little Yuzu rubbed her chin.
Wen Shuqin frowned and said, "I remember he just said that we are welcome to attend the wedding of their third wife."
"Generally speaking, when people attend a wedding, they usually refer to the groom, right?" Wen Tian began to think about it.
A few little kids huddled together and whispered amongst themselves.
The middle school students over there were a bit unhappy.
One of them said, "Hey, let us see that card of yours."
"Here you go." Little Yuzu handed the card to the person who spoke.
The man paused for a moment, took the card, and the group of junior high school students discussed it together.
Xiao Youzi asked Wen Shuqin and the others, "Do you have any ideas?"
“A little, let’s go up and take a look.” Wen Tiantian nodded.
Mu Siyu remained silent, trembling.
Jiang Qian stood up and tugged at Wen Shuqin's arm.
Wen Shuqin couldn't shake him off immediately, so he let it go: "Be gentle."
"I... I'm not scared, I..." Jiang Qian still wanted to make excuses for himself.
Wen Shuqin said coldly, "If you keep talking nonsense, then stop touching me."
"I'm not saying anything more." Jiang Qian made a zipping motion.
So, the three calm ones dragged the two frightened ones upstairs.
The junior high school students exchanged glances but did not follow.
The wooden stairs leading upstairs creaked and groaned, looking like they might break down at any moment.
After a slight sway, the group made their way up to the second floor.
There were few lights on the second floor, only a chilly wind blowing in.
Little Yuzu frowned and said, "Isn't this a wedding? Why is no one here?"
"No one in ancient times got married in a restaurant, right?" Mu Siyu's mind flashed through the various dramas she had watched. It seemed that no one really held weddings in restaurants; they all got married at home.
Little Yuzu pondered for a while and then said, "Perhaps this isn't a restaurant."
"How so?" Wen Shuqin asked.
Little Yuzu's beautiful eyes swept around: "The layout upstairs is more like a mansion."
How did you know?
There were only a few red lanterns on the second floor, and the layout was not very clear.
Little Yuzu has excellent night vision. She said casually, "I saw it by the light of the red lanterns."
"Shall we open the door and take a look?" Wen Shuqin suggested from the side.
Little Yuzu nodded: "Okay, let's go."
With a wave of their hands, the group pushed open the first door.
"ah!"
Suddenly, a piercing scream came from downstairs, piercing straight through the eerie music in the haunted house...
