Chapter 368 The Puppet Bride's Counterattack

"Ah! What happened?" Jiang Qian immediately clung to the door frame, trembling.

Mu Siyu glanced at him from head to toe. "Don't be so nervous. You don't know anything."

As she spoke, she reached out and pulled Jiang Qian off the door frame.

Jiang Qian looked at Xiao Youzi, trembling, "Xiao Youzi, I..."

"Shall we go down and take a look?" Wen Shuqin asked.

Little Yuzi's big, round eyes darted around, a sly smile flashing across her face: "What are you looking at? They're middle school students, we're just elementary school students, we can't help them much if we go down there."

“Little Yuzu is right.” Wen Tian nodded. “Anyway, their attitude wasn’t great, so we don’t need to go down and watch the show.”

Jiang Qian nodded vigorously: "Yes, yes, let's go into the room."

"Ah! Help!"

Then, a series of piercing screams came from downstairs.

Xiaoyouzi recognized the voice; it belonged to the middle school student who had been talking to her.

She didn't think much of it, after all, it was just a themed haunted house, not a real one; at most, she was just scared a little.

"Let's go inside and take a look," Little Yuzu said, and everyone followed behind her.

The door was already pushed open, and the inside was very cold.

Although the corridor outside the house was dimly lit by red lanterns, there was no light inside, and nothing could be seen clearly.

Xiao Youzi frowned and said to the others, "Never mind, you guys wait for me at the door, I'll go in and take a look myself."

"No." Wen Shuqin grabbed Xiaoyouzi's wrist. "Let's go in together."

As the older brother, he had to take the lead and protect Xiaoyouzi.

Xiaoyouzi grabbed his wrist and pulled his hand away: "I'm not afraid of ghosts, I can go in, and my night vision is better than yours."

"Little grapefruit, it's too dark inside." Wen Tian said calmly.

But her trembling hands still betrayed her nervousness and the fear in her heart.

Holding Wen Tian's hand and patting it gently, Xiao Youzi coaxed, "Don't be afraid, everything will be alright."

After saying that, Xiaoyouzi stepped inside.

As soon as she entered the room, Xiaoyouzi turned around and said, "You guys just wait for me, or look for clues in the light."

"Little pomelo..."

Wen Tian called out.

"Bang!"

Just then, the door behind Xiaoyouzi suddenly slammed shut.

"Little Pomelo!"

"Little Pomelo!"

Several different voices rang out.

Jiang Qian and his men quickly began banging on the door frantically.

"Little Yuzu, how are you?"

"Are you alright, Little Yuzu?"

"Waaah, I don't want to play anymore!" Jiang Qian burst into tears, completely losing his composure.

He's genuinely afraid of ghosts!

Just as everyone outside was extremely anxious, Xiaoyouzi's voice rang out: "I'm fine. Apart from it being a bit dark in here, nothing else has happened."

"You all follow my instructions and look for clues. This place should be a solo challenge. Once I find a way out, we'll be able to get out."

Xiaoyouzi's calm voice has an inexplicable ability to soothe people's hearts.

The people outside quieted down.

Wen Tian placed her hand on the door and said, "Little Youzi, I will save you!"

"good!"

The little pomelo inside the door smiled and agreed.

She waited for a while, and the people outside left hesitantly.

Little Yuzu then began to explore the house.

You can't see anything here, and all you hear is eerie music; it really tests your mood.

The little pomelo calmly touched and pressed here and there.

There are no lights.

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

Standing near the door, Xiaoyouzi gently brushed her hand over the object in front of her.

First, I touched a table with an inkstone and several calligraphy brushes on it.

Further inside, I touched vases and similar items, all placed in corners.

She thought to herself silently.

I've walked all the way from the entrance to the first corner.

The items in this corner are quite simple, just a vase and a few artificial flowers.

She raised her hand and touched it.

What I saw in front of me was not a wall, but a partition.

A partition made of wood and paper.

After thinking for a moment, Xiaoyouzi asked, "Is there another room inside?"

A typical room consists of an outer hall and an inner room.

Little Yuzi walked along the partition, touching things as she went, and sure enough, she touched the curtain.

There's an open space next to the curtain, which you can go right in.

Little Yuzu didn't rush in; she walked several more steps forward until she reached the end.

The music in my ears was melodious and mournful, as if it carried great resentment and was telling of some kind of pain.

Little Yuzu calmed down, unaffected by the music, and retreated back to where the curtain was.

This is the door to the inner room.

She went inside and headed directly to the diagonal corner.

She still hadn't opened her eyes, groping forward with them closed.

Inside a monitoring room.

The huge screen displays high-definition night vision cameras.

Several people sat in front of the monitor watching Xiaoyouzi's performance.

One of them asked, "How are those junior high students down there?"

"They were terrified; one of them even fainted. They pressed the emergency call button," a staff member said regretfully.

I thought middle school students were in their prime, fearless and daring, but I didn't expect them to be so scared by the props before they even started.

Another person said helplessly, "When our staff went to pick them up, they were startled again and left crying."
