April is more than halfway over, and the temperature has already soared to over 30 degrees Celsius.
It's so hot in Beijing that very few people go out for hot pot at this time of day, especially not in the middle of the day.
The car stopped on the basement level of the large shopping mall. Edson opened the car door, and a blast of hot air rushed in.
He frowned slightly and took off his suit jacket. "It's too hot outside."
"It's okay, it's cool inside the mall," Little Yuzu said, snuggling up to Edson.
Edson stared at Little Yuzu with his bright green eyes: "I'm going to go over there and open the door for you."
"fine."
As Xiaoyouzi got out of the car, Edson instinctively placed his hand on the door frame to shield her: "Be careful."
"Thank you." Little Yuzu smiled and picked up Edson's suit jacket, handing it to him: "It's windy inside, here you go."
“I’m not cold.” Edson shook his head, and Little Yuzu turned around and put the suit on the seat.
Edson greeted the driver before following Xiaoyouzi inside.
As they walked, Little Yuzu asked, "What were you mumbling in Italian just now? It seemed really hard to learn."
“Let him go back first, and we’ll come back after we’ve finished eating.” Edson thought for a moment and said, “I can teach you Italian, and you teach me Chinese.”
With her eyes darting around, Little Yuzu turned to look at Edson and suddenly laughed, "Okay."
The two attracted a lot of attention as soon as they entered the mall.
Little Yuzu's ears twitched slightly as she overheard everyone's whispers.
"Wow, look at that guy, he's so handsome!"
"Where are you from? You have such beautiful, deep-set eyes!"
"My dream guy has come to pick me up!"
Xiaoyouzi looked over and saw a table not far away where five girls were sitting, holding milk tea and chatting while secretly watching Xiaoyouzi and her friends.
The two walked toward the escalator and overheard their conversation.
"You have a child, don't you? Look, there's a child next to him."
"Honestly, that child is cuter than any other child I've ever seen, but he doesn't seem to be related to the person next to him at all."
"I thought it was a father with his daughter."
Little Yuzu's pupils dilated in shock, and she glanced in that direction.
Fortunately, Edson couldn't understand Chinese, and only thought the girls were noisy, so he didn't pay them any mind.
"Am I the only one who thinks the child looks familiar? He looks a bit like Xiaoyouzi!"
"It looks like it! Could it be my little pomelo?"
The girl curiously peeked out, practically glued her eyes to the little pomelo.
Little Yuzu turned around, met their probing gazes, and smiled at them.
"Ahhh! It's my Yubao! Yubao!" The girl covered her mouth, silently swallowing her screams.
The girl next to her also got excited: "It's Yubao! She's here to play. Who's that guy? He's so handsome!"
"Could he be one of Yu Bao's older brothers? He's so handsome! So handsome that my heart is smitten!"
Noticing that Xiaoyouzi's gaze was fixed on what was behind her, Edson stopped. "What's wrong?"
Faced with Ederson's stunning good looks, the girls exclaimed in amazement how handsome he was.
Little Yuzu shook her head and grabbed Edson's wrist: "Let's go, there are too many people here, let's take the vertical elevator."
Edson's gaze fell on the little grapefruit's hand gripping his wrist.
Her hands were so small that they could barely hold Edson's wrist.
"What do you mean by grabbing me?" Edson didn't pry Little Yuzu's hand away, but asked in a calm tone.
Little Yuzu pointed to the people not far away: "Look at them, the adults are holding the children's hands, and I'm a child too."
Pointing to herself, Little Yuzu looked at Edson with bright, sparkling eyes.
“I’ve investigated you.” Edson walked forward, his tone indifferent. “You have five older brothers, don’t you?”
Little Yuzu smiled and said, "Mmm."
"They don't want to come out with you?" Edson stopped and turned to look at Little Yuzu.
With a blink, Xiaoyouzi chuckled and said, "This isn't something you should be concerned about. Go eat."
After saying that, she led Edson to the elevator and took him directly from the basement to the fifth floor.
On the other side, several girls sat together, looking very excited.
"Did you manage to take a picture?" One of the girls, dressed in red, asked excitedly, her face flushed, as if she had discovered some great treasure.
The girl in the yellow shirt next to her nodded and said, "I got the picture, it's little Yuzu, ah, my Yuzu is so cute!"
"Ah, Little Yuzu took his hand! Is that Little Yuzu's dad?" the girl in green asked curiously.
The girl in white rolled her eyes and said, "Very likely!"
"Hearing you say that, and looking at it closely, it does look a bit like him, doesn't it?" The girl in black zoomed in on the picture, only Edson's profile was visible.
After all, none of them dared to take out their phones to take pictures when they were being attacked head-on.
A few girls made wild guesses and then posted the photo on Weibo.
Not long after, the Weibo post actually went viral.
Little Yuzu, unaware of all this, had already led Edson to the fifth floor.
The fifth floor is the food court, where you can find cuisines from all major Chinese cuisines.
Little Yuzu led Edson straight to one of the beef hot pot restaurants.
This hot pot restaurant is located in G province and is a national chain.
"I heard this hot pot restaurant is really good, let's try it." Little Yuzu let go of Edson's hand and walked inside.
Seeing this, the young lady at the door smiled and took two steps forward. She glanced at Xiaoyouzi, then looked at Edson and asked, "Excuse me, are you two here for dinner?"
