The entire auction hall was very quiet.
Because of one sentence, three million.
The voice came from inside the private room, and no one knew who it was, so they started talking about it.
"Who is it that would spend three million to buy a painting by an unknown artist? What a fool!"
"The voice sounds quite young; it must be a child."
"Just out here for fun, huh?"
"This painting is quite good, but it's a pity that the artist is not famous and it's not worth the price."
Inside the private room, Xiaoyouzi rested her chin on her hand and said, "Even other people aren't that expensive, why are you asking for three million?"
"After three million, no one will bother with it anymore. Let's cut to the chase quickly," Si Jing said calmly.
Little Yuzu couldn't help but complain: "Then you could have asked for 2 million. It would have cost an extra million."
"Consider it a charity donation," Si Jing said nonchalantly.
Little Yuzu shrugged helplessly: "Fine, whatever you like."
“I don’t like it, so you can have the painting.” Si Jing raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
After the three million was spent, as expected, no one competed with them for the painting.
The auctioneer's eyes gleamed with excitement.
She waved the small hammer and shouted, "Three million for the first time, three million for the second time, three million for the third time, sold!"
"Congratulations to our esteemed guest in room number three for acquiring this painting. Staff will be on their way to meet you shortly. Thank you for your cooperation."
After the auctioneer finished speaking, applause rang out from the crowd.
Because he was a VIP guest in a private room, the auctioneer tactfully refrained from calling out Si Jing's name, thus concealing his identity.
Everyone was curious about who was inside, but after peering around for a long time, they couldn't see anything.
Si Jing looked at Xiao Youzi: "Is there anything else you want?"
"Not for now. The next item up for auction is some jewelry or something, which I'm not interested in," Xiaoyouzi said honestly.
Speaking of jewelry, she seems to have some, but they're all in a safe; she doesn't have time to wear them.
Today I'm wearing this pinkish-purple dress, paired with a small crown.
This was a gift from my mom. It's said to be worth six million. It's small, exquisite, and cute, and not very heavy.
Si Jing nodded: "Then I'll keep the money and buy that silver bracelet. What do you think?"
“Sure, you don’t need to do anything, I’ll buy it myself.” Little Yuzu stroked her chin. “I think with my financial resources, I should be able to buy this silver bracelet, right?”
Si Jing couldn't say anything else, he could only nod: "Yes, you can buy the whole auction."
“You’re right!” Little Yuzu’s eyes lit up. “Why don’t I just buy them all and donate them? Then I won’t have to participate in this auction!”
After saying that, Xiaoyouzi looked through the robot: "Do you think I can find the person in charge's phone number here? I might as well just buy them all."
"There probably aren't any robots here. You could try contacting the Bai family's heir," Si Jing suggested earnestly.
With her round eyes darting around, Xiaoyouzi gave up on the idea: "Never mind, let Brother Baili handle it properly."
She then turned her attention back to the auction.
Si Jing smiled and said, "Just keep an eye on the bracelet. Is there really nothing else you want? I can buy it for you. I earned all the money myself, and the painting wasn't done by anyone from home."
"I earned some myself, hehehe." Little Yuzu smiled and didn't continue.
"Knock knock knock".
Just then, a knock sounded on the door.
Xiaoyouzi and Sijing exchanged a glance.
Si Jing asked calmly, "Who?"
"Hello, Young Master Si." A gentle male voice came from outside the door. "We are staff members from the auction, here to deliver the painting to you. Would it be convenient for you to open the door?"
Little Yuzu opened the outside screen through the robot.
The person holding the painting is 1.8 meters tall and has a robust physique.
The person to his left is holding a POS machine, and the person to his right is holding packaging bags and boxes.
Si Jing nodded to Xiao Youzi.
"Here it comes~" Little Yuzu reached out and tapped the robot.
The three people outside the door were all shocked.
A small, child's voice?
Before the three could think it through, the door to the private room slowly opened.
Three staff members walked in with smiles on their faces.
The leader handed the painting to Si Jing: "Young Master Si, please check it. If there are no problems, we will make the payment."
Xiao Youzi unrolled the scroll, touched the painting inside, and nodded to Si Jing.
"Okay, let's pay." Si Jing didn't let Xiao Youzi pay, and took out his own card.
The deal was quickly finalized.
The lead staff member smiled and said, "Congratulations on acquiring this painting. Please enjoy it."
After saying that, the three staff members left.
The auction was bustling with activity.
In the blink of an eye, several more pieces of jewelry were sold, almost all by the wives of various families; the jewelry was all top-notch and exquisite.
Little Yuzu looked on listlessly and yawned.
Si Jing, who was standing to the side, couldn't help but say, "If you're sleepy, just go to sleep. I'll wake you up as soon as it's time for the bracelet, okay?"
"It seems like that would work too."
Little Yuzu let go of the robot's hand, returned to her seat, hugged her pillow, and fell asleep.
Si Jing stared wide-eyed at Xiao Youzi, who had fallen asleep instantly, and asked in surprise, "Xiao Youzi? Are you asleep?"
Si Jing was startled when he called out to Xiao Youzi twice without getting a response.
She actually fell asleep.
Indeed, she is exceptionally gifted.
Little Yuzu slept for half an hour.
Before Si Jing could call her, Xiao Youzi woke up on her own, hugging her pillow with a blank expression.
Si Jing turned to look at her: "Little Youzi, you're awake?"
"Brother Sijing, have I been asleep for a long time?" Little Yuzi tilted her head in confusion and asked, rubbing her slightly sore shoulders.
Si Jing tapped the time on the screen and said, "It wasn't long, I only slept for half an hour."
"A few more items to be auctioned?" Little Yuzu yawned, her eyes glistening with tears.
Si Jing flipped through the items: "There are still three items left, we'll have to wait a bit longer."
"Okay." Little Yuzu nodded, got up and stretched, then looked at the small table.
Her eyes lit up: "There's so much delicious food here, was it freshly served?"
She had almost finished eating before going to bed, but she didn't expect to find something new when she opened her eyes!
"Okay, eat up."
While eating, Xiao Youzi's eyes kept falling on the auction items...
