After saying this with a cold face, Xiao Ye added, "If you like someone, you have to try your best to keep up with them. If you still like them when you go to college, then confess to them."
Without noticing the girl's frozen face, Xiao Ye turned and left after finishing his sentence.
Not far away, Cheng Cheng, who was waiting for Xiao Ye at the door, teased, "What were you doing with that girl just now? Did she confess to you?"
"Are you that gossipy?" Xiao Ye raised an eyebrow at Cheng Cheng.
Cheng Cheng said with a grin, "I'm just a gossip, A-Ye, tell me about it!"
"I rejected him because he didn't confess." Xiao Ye said, patting Cheng Cheng on the head. "You're so gossipy. Let's go, we should go back."
Cheng Cheng persisted in asking questions, but couldn't get any answers.
He snorted in boredom, "Why won't you say anything? What's wrong with telling me?"
"I refused, what else is there to say?" Xiao Ye raised an eyebrow at Cheng Cheng, a smile playing at the corners of his eyes.
Cheng Cheng fell silent again, and could only shrug: "Alright then."
Although he said it was okay, Cheng Cheng actually felt quite frustrated.
What's going on?!
He's so lively and cheerful, and he usually gives Xiao Ye fewer love letters at school, so why doesn't anyone confess to him?
Am I, a sunny and cheerful guy, not popular?
The naive Cheng Cheng was unaware of what she had missed.

Even after entering high school, Cheng Cheng still struggled with science subjects.
Although Xiao Ye was tutoring her in the first year of high school, she was still struggling.
His humanities grades were much better than his science grades.
When Cheng Cheng received her report card, she realized that she would have to be placed in a different class from Xiao Ye.
He sat in the room, looking sullen.
Xiao Ye wrote and came to his room: "Are you unhappy?"
"The midterm exam results are out, and my scores aren't ideal. It'll be difficult for me to go into science." Looking at the results, Cheng Cheng couldn't help but sigh.
After looking at Cheng Cheng's grades, Xiao Ye said, "With grades like yours, you'd be more than qualified for humanities. Why do you insist on studying science?"
"It's because you're in the sciences." Cheng Cheng muttered softly.
He's so used to being Xiao Ye's deskmate. He'll be so unaccustomed to being in different classes!
Xiao Ye paused for a moment, then pursed his lips.
A short while later, he murmured again, "What did you just say?"
"nothing!"
Cheng Cheng didn't say anything more, looking at the report card with worry.
Xiao Ye smiled gently and said, "Whether you study humanities or sciences is not important; what's important is what suits you."
“Even if we’re in different classes, we won’t be far apart,” Xiao Ye said with a light laugh as he looked at Cheng Cheng.
Cheng Cheng nodded: "That makes sense. It's just a matter of two years before we get used to it. Shall we try to get into the same university?"
"Yes, I plan to apply to Imperial University." Xiao Ye stated his goal of attending Imperial University.
Cheng Cheng smiled upon hearing this: "I know you want to apply to Imperial University, and I will too. Anyway, my grades are good enough for Imperial University now."
“Okay, let’s work hard together.” Xiao Ye nodded, his eyes fixed on Cheng Cheng.
Cheng Cheng smiled and said, "Okay."
The unhappiness vanished instantly, and Cheng Cheng said happily, "Imperial University, Imperial University, I need to study hard!"
*
When we were divided into classes in the second year of high school.
Cheng Cheng and Xiao Ye indeed broke up.
In the new classroom, without Xiao Ye to tidy up his desk, Cheng Cheng's things were scattered all over the table.
Unfortunately, his new deskmate was Zheng Tian.
Zheng Tian threw Cheng Cheng's book back at her: "Don't put it here! I'm not your Xiao Ye, here to clean your desk!"
"What nonsense are you talking about! Can't I tidy up my own desk?" Cheng Cheng said angrily, piling all the books together.
His desk was a complete mess, like a doghouse.
Zheng Tian looked at it with disdain: "Look at the state of your desk! Can you even find the test paper that was handed out on Monday?"
"Me!" Cheng Cheng began rummaging through the things on the table.
Forget about Monday's test papers, he doesn't even know where the ones that were just handed out are.
"Ah! Ah Ye! My snail Ah Ye, come back quickly!" Cheng Cheng wailed, looking distressed at the table full of things.
Zheng Tian couldn't help but mutter, "How pathetic!"
"Hmm?" Xiao Ye appeared by the window of Cheng Cheng's classroom at some point and saw the impatient Zheng Tian and the miserable Cheng Cheng.
Zheng Tian immediately opened the window: "You'd better take care of Cheng Cheng. Look at the mess on his desk. It's only the first week of school."
"I'm here to help him tidy up," Xiao Ye sighed and walked in.
He first helped Cheng Cheng clear the things off the table, wiped the table, and then put a small table mat on it.
As for the textbooks, he flipped through each one, then wrapped them in book covers and placed them on the table. He also put the test papers in a file bag: "Take them here if you need them. It's more convenient. Don't just throw them away next time."
"Mmm-hmm!" Cheng Cheng nodded obediently.
Zheng Tian rolled her eyes so hard they almost reached the sky: You two are such a jerk!
"What are you doing! Our A-Ye is a master at tidying up. Look at my table, and you still dare to say it's messy?" Cheng Cheng gave Zheng Tian a smug smile.
Zheng Tian said sarcastically, "He's a master, you're a destroyer."
"Tch, you're just jealous of me!" Cheng Cheng shook his head, looking incredibly smug.
After tidying up, Xiao Ye stood up and said, "Alright, hurry up and do your homework. I'll be waiting for you after school."
"Okay, bye-bye, Ah Ye~" Cheng Cheng happily sat down in her newly renovated seat.
Zheng Tian said helplessly, "Xiao Ye, just spoil him!"
"Mm." Xiao Ye responded softly and returned to his classroom.
