That night.
Xiao Ye got up, glanced at Cheng Cheng, and, somewhat worried, lit a sleeping incense that would extinguish at the appointed time before slinging his backpack downstairs.
He searched for a long time before finally finding the sticky note.
After writing down some simple precautions on the refrigerator, Xiao Ye checked his equipment.
Once he was sure everything was ready, he drove off in a cloud of dust.
Cheng Cheng woke up at noon the next day.
He stretched and stood up: "Ah Ye."
He mumbled something in his sleep, and when he didn't get a response, Cheng Cheng opened his eyes in confusion.
"A-Ye?" He got up, put on his shoes, and called out everywhere, "A-Ye, where are you?"
No one inside the house responded.
Cheng Cheng wandered around the room, calling out several times.
He finally realized that Xiao Ye was missing.
Cheng Cheng breathed a sigh of relief after running back to her room and checking where her luggage was.
He almost thought it was a dream that Xiao Ye had returned.
Just then, Cheng Cheng's phone rang.
"Hello?"
Zhu Zhu's voice came from the other end of the phone: "Acheng, remember to come to film today."
"Okay, I'll be right there." Cheng Cheng didn't have time to think much, so she washed up and opened the refrigerator to get something to drink.
Then I saw the sticky notes on the refrigerator.
"Well, you didn't believe me and ran away!" Cheng Cheng looked at the note and almost laughed in anger.
He said viciously, "I'll beat you up when you get back!"
Cheng Cheng didn't have to wait long.
After filming, he met Xiao Ye, who had come to pick him up, at the entrance.
With a snort, Cheng Cheng said, "You still know to come pick me up."
"Things over there have been taken care of," Xiao Ye said.
Cheng Cheng's eyes immediately lit up: "Is there a clue? Or is there some other trace?"
"No, none of them."
Shaking his head, Xiao Ye said truthfully, "There's nothing there anymore, and the ground subsidence has become more and more serious in recent years, so there's nothing to be found."
"How could this happen?" Cheng Cheng couldn't help but sigh.
Xiao Ye patted his head: "It's okay, it will be alright."
"Yes, I believe you." Cheng Cheng nodded emphatically.
Since then, Cheng Cheng has never mentioned his parents to Xiao Ye, and he always takes Xiao Ye back to his own home for the New Year.
After Xiao Ye came out, he didn't go to work. He just asked Ms. Sun for the key and went home to take a look.
Later, he went back to the army to learn more about the situation and served as an instructor there for a year before returning again.
Now, he is twenty-four years old.
Not long after they left, they ran into Cheng Cheng, who was going to participate in a wilderness survival show. They heard that the prize money for the first place winner was quite substantial.
Cheng Cheng is currently worried about choosing a partner.
Just then, Xiao Ye came out, and he immediately dragged him onto the show.
After the show aired, Xiao Ye received a very positive response, and everyone thought he would take the opportunity to join the entertainment industry.
Unexpectedly, they withdrew from the competition at the end of the show.
"Ah Ye, how are you now?"
On the day of his discharge, Cheng Cheng helped him walk out.
Xiao Ye chuckled and said, "What could possibly be wrong with me? I'm perfectly healthy."
"You still dare to say that? That's an anaconda." Cheng Cheng muttered a few words, but dared not say more, lest it affect the patient's mood.
Back home, Cheng Cheng simply said, "I still need to take care of you. You can continue living with me."
"Um."
Xiao Ye nodded, looking at Cheng Cheng with a smile in his eyes.
Cheng Cheng glared at him: "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"nothing."
Back home, Xiao Ye went straight to take a shower.
After he finished washing, he realized he hadn't brought any clothes.
"Cheng, Cheng!" Xiao Ye called out several times from inside the bathroom, but received no reply from Cheng Cheng.
Helpless, he picked up a bath towel and wrapped it around his lower body.
Xiao Ye came out without wearing any clothes.
He walked to the wardrobe, intending to grab any T-shirt he could find and put it on.
Cheng Cheng was working while wearing headphones.
Just then, he looked up.
She saw Xiao Ye with his back to her, rummaging through the wardrobe.
"Ano!"
Cheng Cheng was shocked when she saw Xiao Ye's back.
He didn't care about anything else, quickly turned off the voice recorder in his hand, and stood up.
At this moment, Cheng Cheng's eyes were wide open, like a frightened little animal.
When Xiao Ye heard Cheng Cheng calling him, he immediately responded, "What's wrong, Cheng?"
When I called you, you didn't answer, so I came out to find some clothes to wear.
"What happened to your back?" Cheng Cheng walked quickly behind Xiao Ye, his slender fingers touching Xiao Ye's back in that instant.
On that long scar.
The scar is hideous, and there are other scars of varying sizes around it.
It looks like it has suffered considerable abuse.
Cheng Cheng gently touched the scar again, then withdrew his hand and asked, somewhat puzzled, "A-Ye, what happened to this scar?"
"fine."
Xiao Ye said calmly.
Cheng Cheng frowned: "You're not even going to tell me?"
"No," Xiao Ye added, seeing that Cheng Cheng was showing signs of anger, "I got a cut during a mission."
He spoke of it casually, as if it were just a common little scar.
But at the time, this scar nearly cost him his life.
The purpose was to stay by the side of the other group's leader and gain their trust and information.
Cheng Cheng was naturally extremely worried.
His hand touched several more uneven brand marks, like patterns left by burns.
