"Besides, Violet will be angry if I leave," Wu Yu said helplessly, pointing quietly to Violet who was lining up in the queue.
"You're so nice to Violet, aren't you afraid I'll get angry if you reject me?" Phillis said sourly.
"She's still young and very fragile. Please forgive her, Princess of the Empire. I'll apologize on her behalf," Wu Yu quickly said, trying to appease her.
"Hmph, this princess isn't the kind of person to hold grudges," Phillis said arrogantly, raising her head. But then her tone softened, and she asked through gritted teeth, "Then, is she important to you?"
“It’s not important,” Wu Yu replied without hesitation. He quickly added, “But there are so few things I care about, so few that I’m unwilling to give up even things that are insignificant to begin with. Do you understand? Never mind, you wouldn’t understand.”
Philliss remained silent, looking at Wu Yu with a strange glint in her bright golden eyes, but ultimately returning to calm.
Wu Yu didn't notice these changes, and casually asked, "So where are you planning to go next?"
"I'm going back to the palace. Wu Yu, you can go listen to the old man's nagging. You'll definitely regret not coming out with me then," Phillis said with a wicked grin, then waved his hand and left as if he had no regrets.
"Your Highness, do you really like Mr. Wu Yu? Although he is incredibly powerful, he doesn't seem suitable to be your life partner." After leaving the campus, Jerry, who had been following Philliss like a mute, finally spoke up.
“Hehe, Jerry, adult matters are often not as simple as they seem on the surface. Don’t worry about me, I know what I’m doing,” Phillis explained patiently.
"By the way, Jerry, you've been a bit quiet these past few days. Is something on your mind?" When they were alone, their status didn't matter; instead, they spoke frankly like friends.
“No,” Jerry denied immediately.
"If you encounter any trouble, just tell me and I'll help you." Seeing that Jerry was unwilling to talk, Philliss didn't press him. "By the way, after I enroll, you won't have to wait in the palace anymore. You can use your free time as you please, whether it's for cultivation or entertainment, it's up to you."
"Thank you, Your Highness," Jerry said, bowing his head in gratitude, a hint of struggle in his eyes.
When he looked up again, Jerry saw Philliss's petite figure walking ahead, let out a heavy sigh, and the confusion in his eyes was gone.
Back in her palace, Jerry had already left, and she had also ordered the maids waiting in the palace to leave. Phillis pointed her hand in front of her, and a hazy galaxy began to flow from her fingertips.
When the room was replaced by the starry sky, three huge orbs of light rose overhead, and her golden eyes seemed to burn, with magma flowing inside.
A terrifying stream of data poured in from all directions, and Philliss's authoritative tone seemed to be issuing a command to the heavens.
"Information retrieval, keywords—Violet Russell"
"No need to filter, receive all information."
The three orbs shone brightly, as if issuing a warning.
Ignoring the warning, Phillis calmly repeated, "Instructions unchanged, continue execution."
A torrent of data broke away from the ocean of data and then all flowed toward Philliss.
The data flooded Phillis's brain, during which his body began to tremble uncontrollably. The unimaginable pain spread to every corner of his body, and his blue veins bulged slightly. Phillis first knelt on the ground, and then curled up into a ball like a wounded animal.
But what was terrifying was that her expression, apart from being a little stiff, didn't change at all; she was reading each message she received word by word.
Her nose started bleeding, and it was no longer just pain; under the onslaught of information, her body began to gradually break down.
Finally, just as cracks began to appear on that smooth, fair skin, the torrent of information stopped, and Phillis, in those few short minutes, had read through a person's entire life.
The pain persisted, and Phillis couldn't even stand up on her own, but that didn't stop her.
With a thought, a holy light descended upon her, bathing her in holy light. Phillis stood up, and at that moment, her skin had been restored to its original state, and she was no longer in any pain.
“Everything is normal. Violet’s past is just like Jack’s, without any flaws. But the feeling I get from her heart is just like Jack’s, equally cold and piercing. All her emotions are frozen by that extreme rationality. So who is she? What is her purpose?” Philliss seemed to be confiding in some being.
“What does Jack’s death have to do with her? It seems like an uncontrollable character has infiltrated my script,” Phillis had to admit.
But there was no anger or distress on her face; instead, her face was flushed and her eyes were brimming with barely suppressed excitement.
This was her own personal celebration. In this galaxy, she began to dance gracefully, her steps light and lithe, fluttering like a butterfly. After several months, she felt her heart pounding again, and she once again experienced the emotions that a human being could possess.
"That's how it should be. If everything went as I wished, my choice of target would be too simplistic. While it might not be a variable, it would allow me to find a worthy opponent, giving the plot more twists and turns, and adding more interest when I look back on it later. Come on, Violet, the royal capital is the best stage. You will give the most spectacular performance of your life here, and then be defeated by me, becoming a stepping stone for me to reach the peak."
