After telling a story, Number 0 quietly looked at Ji Tiandao, waiting for his reaction.
"Your imagination is good, but what does this have to do with me?" Ji Tiandao said noncommittally.
"Ji Tiandao, with your intelligence, if you knew this crucial information, wouldn't you be able to guess what I mean? Since you want to play dumb, then let me tell you the answer," Number 0 said disdainfully.
"Authority is the most supreme thing in this world. The entire world is based on authority. Once it disappears, the entire world collapses. The Demon King was able to advance to the ninth rank because the gods of this world shared their authority with him. You were able to defeat the Demon King by relying on the power bestowed by the will of the world, and this power also comes from that authority."
"You have slain the Demon King and thwarted the gods' conspiracy. You have gained the world's recognition and saved the world. You have gained the recognition of all living beings. Do you feel your power increasing day by day? Do you feel that breaking through to the ninth rank is just around the corner? Ji Tiandao remained silent. He closed his eyes in front of Number 0, and Number 0 did not make any extra moves, but simply stood patiently in place.
After an unknown amount of time, Ji Tiandao finally opened his eyes, his eyes filled with exhaustion. He leaned weakly against the throne and said with a bitter smile, "What should I do?"
"The choice is yours. Simply abandon the beings of this world, and you can become a new god," Number 0 replied.
"I deeply love this world. My wife, friends, and comrades-in-arms are here. Everything I once longed for is here. If there is no one I love in this world, then becoming a god would have no divine meaning," Ji Tiandao said with emotion.
“I love this world more than you do, that’s why I’m here before you,” Number 0 said firmly. She then took out a black dagger, knelt down, and presented it to Ji Tiandao.
"This is the [Divine Artifact - Blade of Extinction of Life]. If you choose to commit suicide, you can use it. Even an eighth-tier epic weapon can be killed in one blow."
Ji Tiandao flicked his index finger, and the dagger floated into his hand. "I still have some time before I break through to the ninth level. I need to use this time to prepare for my funeral."
"Do as you please. No one in this world can force you," Number 0 said indifferently.
"On the day I committed suicide, I wished to see you one last time. You should have been able to appear before me in time," Ji Tiandao continued, stating his request.
“Okay,” Number 0 replied again.
"That's enough." Ji Tiandao said no more. He closed his eyes again and fell into deep thought. He was no longer as domineering and arrogant as before. Instead, he had the air of an old man in his twilight years.
"Looking forward to our next meeting, Hero." Number 0 used a respectful term for Ji Tiandao for the first time. Then, a spatial distortion occurred, and Number 0's figure disappeared from the palace.
